Russian president Vladimir Putin recently said that he was planning to step up his nation’s program to “strengthen the military potential of strategic nuclear forces.” President-elect Donald Trump responded immediately. He tweeted:
The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes
Then in a phone conversation with Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC Trump is reported to have said “let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass … and outlast them all.”
Wow. Stunning. Go Trump!
No, Trump did not offer to sheepishly reduce American arms in order to placate Putin and to hopefully get Putin to back down. He went in the opposite direction and essentially threatened Putin.
Naturally liberals and their media cronies went insane. After all Trump’s tweet and follow-up statement are what they feared – an out-of-control cowboy president getting ready to blow up the world.
But then the opposite happened. Putin immediately said that he wanted better relations with the US and looked forward to visiting Trump in Washington.
In short Trump’s tough talk produced instant and positive results. And you can rest assured that relations between Russia and the US are going to improve dramatically because Putin respects Trump and vice versa, while Putin disdained Obama as a weakling and an affirmative-action president chosen only for his race.
We need strong leaders like Trump and Putin. They can do good things for the world. For instance they can work together to finally smash ISIS in Syria and Iraq like Trump has promised to do and like Putin is trying to do, but without much cooperation from Obama.
Now the US and the Russians will cooperate and as a result the ISIS terrorists are packing up and fleeing. They know what is about to happen with Trump coming into office; this is why the strategic terrorist-infiltrated Syrian city of Aleppo recently fell. Look at what Reuters reported:
The Syrian army said it had retaken complete control of Aleppo on Thursday after the last rebel fighters were evacuated from the battered city, handing President Bashar al-Assad his biggest victory of the nearly six-year-old war.
The military said it had brought “the return of safety and security to the city of Aleppo”, ending four years of rebel resistance in the northern Syrian city. “This victory constitutes an important turning point,” an army statement said.
Amazing. This is an important turning point in a massively destructive war that seemed to have no end. Until now. Aleppo is a huge step toward peace and Nikitas3.com believes that it is a direct result of Trump’s election. It is no coincidence that it happened shortly after Trump won.
This is significant because the terrorists who had taken Aleppo did not fear Obama. So what else could we expect besides more violence.
ISIS terrorists have long supply lines and scattered support outposts that are making their wars in Iraq and Syria possible. The US military knows the whereabouts of much of this infrastructure. The terrorists know that Trump is not going to attack them militarily on the battlefield, but from the air and at the rear – their supply lines, headquarters, fuel supplies, training centers, etc. – as he has said he would do. This will cut off the terrorists’ power to wage war. This will be a very effective strategy. This is why the terrorists are withdrawing from places like Aleppo and running into the hills to hide. They would rather lose and live than lose and die.
Obama could have smashed ISIS but he scaled it way back because Obama really wants radical Muslim domination of the Middle East. If Trump had been elected US president in 2008 there would be no ISIS and no Syrian war. Those are a direct result of Obama policies, particularly to pull all US troops from Iraq, which left a vacuum that ISIS grew and filled. That is why Trump called Obama and Hillary “the founders of ISIS”. It is an accurate characterization.
The coming of Trump has an interesting corollary. Many of us remember the Iranian hostage takers of 1979-81, who held 52 Americans for 444 days at the US embassy in Tehran. Under a weak Democrat US president Jimmy Carter they seized and held the hostages. They knew that they had nothing to fear.
They finally released the hostages at the moment that Republican Ronald Reagan was sworn in as US president on January 20, 1981. They waited precisely for that moment because they knew that America was powerless under Carter, but that Reagan would take severe action if they didn’t release the hostages.
Reagan then acted with great confidence and strength in dealing with the Soviet Union. For decades Soviet communism had been accepted as part of our world. But Reagan publicly called the communists an “evil empire” and built up the US military to the point where the Soviets could no longer compete since the Soviet Union – and Russia today – was and is much poorer than the United States. Even today the US is more than twice as rich per capita as Russia. Soviet communism died in 1991.
Putin knows this history well. That is why he is willing to work with Trump and not confront him. Watch for Trump and Putin to have a good meeting in Washington and a positive relationship.
Nikitas3.com believes that Putin should now be thought of as an ally of the US, and for good reason. Russia today is the world’s largest Orthodox Christian nation (106 million Orthodox Christians) and the world’s most enthusiastically Christian country. Putin has become the world’s most pro-Christian political leader and strongly supports Russia’s Christian history dating back to the year 988 AD. This is why Putin is so strongly anti-Islam and is a good partner for the US in the War on Terror. Putin once said:
“Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values. Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in satan. This is the path to degradation.”
Wrote Patrick Buchanan in 2014 on The American Conservative website:
But Vladimir Putin knows exactly what he is doing, and his new claim has a venerable lineage. The ex-Communist Whittaker Chambers who exposed Alger Hiss as a Soviet spy, was, at the time of his death in 1964, writing a book on “The Third Rome.” The first Rome was the Holy City and seat of Christianity that fell to Odoacer and his barbarians in 476 A.D. The second Rome was Constantinople, Byzantium, (today’s Istanbul), which fell to the Turks in 1453. The successor city to Byzantium, the Third Rome, the last Rome to the old believers, was—Moscow.
Putin is entering a claim that Moscow is the Godly City of today and command post of the counter-reformation against the new paganism. Putin is plugging into some of the modern world’s most powerful currents. Not only in his defiance of what much of the world sees as America’s arrogant drive for global hegemony. Not only in his tribal defense of lost Russians left behind when the USSR disintegrated. He is also tapping into the worldwide revulsion of and resistance to the sewage of a hedonistic secular and social revolution coming out of the West.
In the culture war for the future of mankind, Putin is planting Russia’s flag firmly on the side of traditional Christianity. His recent speeches carry echoes of John Paul II whose Evangelium Vitae in 1995 excoriated the West for its embrace of a “culture of death.”
No wonder that pro-Muslim Obama never got along with Putin. After all Obama is America’s most anti-Christian president ever.
