Trump Wiretap Claims Appear to be True

When the news came out Saturday morning March 4 that president Trump was alleging that Barack Obama had wiretapped him during the campaign it sounded to the Mainstream Media like yet another situation where Trump had gone over the top and that this time he would fall on his sword with his crazy talk.

But one thing that Nikitas3.com has learned is that you never underestimate Donald Trump. After all, he got elected facing enormous odds.

This wiretap story is evolving and Nikitas3.com believes that Trump is correct, except that Obama himself probably did not order the wiretaps, but that they were done by people who know what Obama would want without him saying it.

Here is a quote from the conservative radio host Mark Levin, who is one of the smartest people in America today. Levin is a brilliant legal and Constitutional scholar:

“The evidence is overwhelming. This is not about President Trump’s tweeting. This is about the Obama administration spying, and the question is not whether it spied. We know they went to the FISA court twice. The question is who they did spy on and the extent of the spying that is the Trump campaign, the Trump transition, Trump surrogates.”

Now look at this from Thehill.org, the website for a publication covering Capitol Hill in Washington:

Former Attorney General (in the George W. Bush administration) Michael Mukasey on Sunday said that President Trump is likely correct that there was surveillance on Trump Tower for intelligence purposes, but incorrect in accusing former President Barack Obama of ordering the wiretapping.

“I think he’s right in that there was surveillance and that it was conducted at the behest of the (Obama) attorney general — at the Justice Department,” Mukasey told ABC’s ‘This Week’.

Mukasey would not say this out of hand; he is a level-headed guy. Then look at who was the Obama attorney general in question. It was Loretta Lynch, who famously held a secret meeting in Phoenix with Bill Clinton just days before Hillary Clinton was cleared by FBI in the email probe. In other words, Lynch is a totally suspicious figure. Then Foxnews.com reported:

A spokesman for Obama denied that the former president or the White House ordered any such surveillance. “A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” Kevin Lewis said in a statement. “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen,” Lewis added. “Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”

Of course. Obama would not order it personally and have his fingerprints on it. The wiretaps were ordered by people who knew what Obama would want. Here is John Dietrich explaining that fact on The American Thinker website:

The New York Times’ skeptical headline reads, “Trump, Offering No Evidence, Says Obama Tapped His Phones.” A spokesman for the former president stated, “Neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”

Could this be another example of Trump “fake news?

It seems unlikely. Former President Obama did not need to micromanage his minions. It is unlikely that he had to give a direct order to wiretap Donald Trump’s phone. So it is probably true that he did not order the surveillance. However, was Trump wiretapped under the Obama administration? The answer appears to be yes. Even the New York Times has reported this: “One official said intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.” The apparent justification for this conclusion is based on reports of a FISA warrant that was first requested in June 2016. FISA stands for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The warrant request is based on the belief that the target of the surveillance has acted as an agent of a foreign power. This original warrant was denied by the court, so it was reissued in October. The October warrant was approved. According to (former federal prosecutor) Andrew McCarthy, “The Obama Justice Department and the FBI spent at least eight months searching for Trump–Russia ties. They found nothing criminal, and clearly nothing connecting Trump to Russian hacking.”

Andrew McCarthy is another conservative straight shooter and very believable. Here is what even the New York Times wrote this just before Trump’s inauguration essentially verifying that Trump communications were intercepted by Obama officials:

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are examining intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, current and former senior American officials said.

The continuing counterintelligence investigation means that Mr. Trump will take the oath of office on Friday with his associates under investigation and after the intelligence agencies concluded that the Russian government had worked to help elect him. As president, Mr. Trump will oversee those agencies and have the authority to redirect or stop at least some of these efforts.

It is not clear whether the intercepted communications had anything to do with Mr. Trump’s campaign, or Mr. Trump himself. It is also unclear whether the inquiry has anything to do with an investigation into the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computers and other attempts to disrupt the elections in November. The American government has concluded that the Russian government was responsible for a broad computer hacking campaign, including the operation against the D.N.C.

The counterintelligence investigation centers at least in part on the business dealings that some of the president-elect’s past and present advisers have had with Russia. Mr. Manafort has done business in Ukraine and Russia. Some of his contacts there were under surveillance by the National Security Agency for suspected links to Russia’s Federal Security Service, one of the officials said.

The F.B.I. is leading the investigations, aided by the National Security Agency, the C.I.A. and the Treasury Department’s financial crimes unit. The investigators have accelerated their efforts in recent weeks but have found no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, the officials said. One official said intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the (Obama) White House…”

This is 1,000 times as bad as Watergate. Meanwhile Democrat insider Kathy Arue said on Fox News:

“My sources from the (Obama) White House told me, she thinks (that the allegations of wiretapping are) all true. She said, um there were concerns that Trump-and this is from the White House and the administration inside the White House…there were concerns that Trump and his surrogates may have been colluding with the Russians and a possible bargaining chip to influence the election, therefore a wiretap was conducted.”

Trump is certainly correct to be very suspicious. Only further investigation will reveal the truth and you can be sure that it is coming. After all, Trump is president with full legal authority. And this will be great to watch.

Remember that “tapping” a phone is not done the old-fashioned way of breaking into a home and putting a secret transmitter in the telephone mouthpiece. No, today it is done with the click of a computer mouse.

Now here is a clip from J. Christian Adams who is a former federal attorney in the George W. Bush administration. Adams’ own website PJMedia.com reported:

J. Christian Adams was on Fox News’ “Justice With Judge Jeanine” on Saturday to discuss allegations by President Trump that his campaign was “tapped” by the Obama administration. The discussion was in response to Trump’s Saturday morning tweet: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”

Judge Jeanine Pirro read a statement from an Obama spokesman claiming, “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.”

Pirro said that the operative word in that statement was “ordered.” Adams, a former Department of Justice official, agreed.

“That’s exactly right,” he said. “There’s a big difference between ‘ordered’ and knowing everything else about it.”

“If this happened,” he explained, “folks need to understand, this is what the tactics of a police state are—to use intelligence gathering services against political opponents. If this happened, we’ve crossed a very dangerous line in America. It makes Watergate look like a joke.” He reminded viewers that the “Watergate” scandal involved bugging the office of a secretary with 1950s-era hardware.

“Americans are going to learn what the Deep State is,” Adams warned, “because that intelligence information about Mike Flynn, his conversations with the Russians…it got out into the Washington Post. That’s exactly how it is working in a very dangerous fashion when intelligence operations are becoming political weapons.” He added that this is all part of a deliberate campaign being engineered to “smear and delegitimize” President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and to hamstring the administration.
