Trump/Russia Narrative is Pure Leftist Insanity

Liberals become fanatics about everything. For instance, they fanatically hate cigarettes and have done so for 50 years. Or they harp incessantly on ‘global warming’ even though their claims can be easily debunked. Liberals despise Christians and are waging a rhetorical war on white people, particularly on white men. And on an on.

Their latest cause is the alleged connection between president Trump and Russia, which allegedly helped him to with the presidency. The anti-Trumpers even have fabricated a wacky story about Trump and prostitutes in Moscow. Yet if you ask a liberal point-blank, “How precisely did the Russians help Trump win the election?” they do not know.

This narrative is something that they hope to develop once they get their fishing expedition started, because that is what these charges really are about – a catch-all inquiry that they are praying would turn up something, anything, on which to remove Trump from office.

To debunk their narrative, here are some questions to ask liberals about Russia, along with the answers:

*Did the Russians tell Donald Trump to campaign actively in critical states that helped him to win the presidency, like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin?
Answer: No, Trump did that on the advice of his own political advisors, and based on his own instincts.

*Did the Russians tell Hillary Clinton to be lazy and not campaign in critical states, leading to her loss?
Answer: No, she made that decision on her own. Her media allies convinced her that she had the election in the bag.

*Oh, wait! The Russians certainly made Hillary collapse at the 9/11 memorial service! They hit her with a poison dart!
Answer: Uhhh, I don’t think so.

*Did the Russians tell Trump to mercilessly slam Hillary in the debates?
Answer: No, that was just Trump being Trump, and it was super effective. Don’t ever underestimate those debate performances in Trump’s win.

*Did the Russians tell Trump to focus on the economy and jobs, which was the most important issues to most voters?
Answer: No, he did that naturally as a businessman.

*Did Russia send out messages to hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters telling them to show up at Trump rallies to help him to generate the enthusiasm to win?
Answer: No.

*Did the Russians hack into voting machines and change the totals?
Answer: No, those machines are not hooked up to the internet.

And on and on. Democrats really are saying all of these things about Russia as another fake story that is designed to drive the lunatic Democrat base into a frenzy since Democrats have nothing else to show after Hillary’s devastating loss.

The only slim thread on which the liberals can hang their theory is that the Russians hacked the emails of the Democratic National Committee, or got Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails in a phishing scam.

But there is zero evidence that Russians did this, while the mainstream media mostly ignored the emails and so the story didn’t really even reach most of the general public. continued to wait for the “bombshell” email that was supposed to take down Hillary Clinton but it never came. In short, those emails had no effect on the campaign anyway.

The Democrats are really using the Russia story to set up a permanent diversion to be able to attack Trump every day. Whenever they run out of other things to attack Trump on, they simply utter the word “Russia”. This is a psychological warfare tactic for which they have manipulated their shallow voters well. They use this stuff every day, like blacks saying the words “slavery” or “racism” or environmentalists saying ‘climate change’. These are phrases that trigger a psychological reaction.

There is even one video clip of Meet the Press where the word “Russia” was mentioned 46 times in one program.

But it is very disturbing that the same liberals were great friends with “Russia” for the entire Cold War period when the Soviet Union was a communist dictatorship. They claimed that wicked and genocidal Soviet communism wasn’t so bad. They loved Soviet communism since it was thoroughly anti-American and anti-Christian.

On the other hand they hate Russia today since it is a strongly nationalistic country that runs against the globalist agenda. Russia also is a strongly Christian country and its president Vladimir Putin is a very pro-Christian leader. Russia today has almost half of the world’s Orthodox Christian population, or about 110 million Orthodox. Putin has even spoken out against homosexuality.

Democrats even sought to cooperate with Russian-Soviet communist dictators against US president Ronald Reagan. Here is how Forbes magazine described one situation:

Picking his way through the Soviet archives that Boris Yeltsin had just thrown open, in 1991 Tim Sebastian, a reporter for the London Times, came across an arresting memorandum. Composed in 1983 by Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB, the memorandum was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR. The subject: Sen. Edward Kennedy.

“On 9-10 May of this year,” the May 14 memorandum explained, “Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow.” (Tunney was Kennedy’s law school roommate and a former Democratic senator from California.) “The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.”

Kennedy’s message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. “The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations,” the memorandum stated. “These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign.”

So there you go, and there were certainly many more incidents like this that we will never know about. For decades Democrats and communists in the US told us that Soviet marxism posed no real threat, that communism was a benign ideology and that the real problem was American conservatives.

Thus now we have a clearer picture of why the Democrats are so rabidly triggered by the very word “Russia” today. It just isn’t the good old place that they knew decades ago.
