Forget Russia – Trump ‘Wiretap’ is the Mega Story of the Year

The growing revelations about the surveillance of president Trump and his team by the Obama administration during the campaign of 2016 is a huge story that could make Watergate look like a dust speck.

Precisely as the Democrats are trying to beat the dead horse of the Russia/Trump collusion tale back to life, with no success, liberals and their media friends are seeking to quash the infinitely more consequential story that the Obama administration, particularly national security advisor Susan Rice, ordered surveillance and data collection on Trump and his team during the presidential campaign.

In short the cover-up already is taking place. but as we know the cover-up can end up being infinitely more deadly than the crime itself.

Democrats are certainly terrified in the knowledge that Republicans run both the House and Senate and the federal intelligence agencies under president Trump, including the Department of Justice. So the media have gone into high gear in full defense mode. Grabien.com reported:

CNN’s Chris Cuomo claimed it was “demonstrably untrue” (that Obama national security official Susan) Rice sought surveillance of the Trump team, even as that’s exactly what yesterday’s reports prove.

But Cuomo can’t possibly say this with a straight face. You cannot logically prove a negative by simply dismissing it in the way that Cuomo is doing. He might have said that “we have seen no evidence” but he did not.

Meanwhile the same liberals are charging Trump with colluding with the Russians but have offered no evidence whatsoever.

There is a video on YouTube of Susan Rice giving a TV interview about the surveillance allegations and declaring that all is well. In the interview Rice is stiff as a board. She looks like the cat that swallowed the canary. She appears frozen, like in fear of saying the wrong word. Being a student of body language, Nikitas3.com believes that she is lying and predicts that she will be legally implicated in this scandal.

In short, Trump threw the nuclear bomb right back into the Democrats’ court with his “wiretapping” tweet of March 4. Grabien.com also reports:

Over the last 24 hours, the network has also repeatedly called on its chief national security correspondent, Jim Sciutto, to dismiss the reports (about Susan Rice) as a non-story… And on Tuesday’s “New Day,” anchor Alisyn Camerota openly pleaded with Sen. John McCain to write-off the news as unimportant.

Last night, (CNN’s Don) Lemon began “CNN Tonight” with an announcement that the Rice report a “fake scandal ginned up by right-wing media and Trump” that he would not be baited into justifying with coverage.

“On this program tonight, we will not insult your intelligence by pretending,” it’s legitimate, he said. “Nor will we aid and abet the people trying to misinform you, the American people, by creating a diversion. Not going to do it.”

Again, you cannot prove a negative without clear and unequivocal evidence.

Now if Rice’s actions are directly linked to Obama that would be 100 times worse than Watergate and that is what Democrats fear most.

In other words, the cover-up already is starting to unravel even as it is just getting started. Because we finally have a name (Susan Rice) to attach to this brewing scandal, to add to the known instances of the Trump charges of surveillance (“wiretapping”).

Richard Pollock wrote on The Daily Caller about this emerging scandal. Here are some excerpts with a Nikitas3.com comment after each:

Pollock writes: Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce “detailed spreadsheets” of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova. “What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group (DNCF) Monday. “The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.”

Nikitas3.com comment: DiGenova is a totally upright guy. He has a good reputation to protect. He would not get involved in this if he was not convinced of the veracity of his charges.

Now look at this from Thehill.org, the website for a publication covering Capitol Hill in Washington:

Former Attorney General (in the George W. Bush administration) Michael Mukasey on Sunday said that President Trump is likely correct that there was surveillance on Trump Tower for intelligence purposes…

“I think he’s right in that there was surveillance and that it was conducted at the behest of the (Obama) attorney general — at the Justice Department,” Mukasey told ABC’s ‘This Week’.

Mukasey would not say this out of hand; he is a level-headed guy. Then look at who was the Obama attorney general in question. It was Loretta Lynch, who famously held a secret meeting in Phoenix with Bill Clinton just days before Hillary Clinton was cleared by FBI in the email probe. In other words, Lynch is a totally suspicious figure.

Pollock of the Daily Caller writes: Other knowledgeable official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova’s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election.

Also on Monday, Fox News and Bloomberg News, citing multiple sources reported that Rice had requested the intelligence information that was produced in a highly organized operation. Fox said the unmasked names of Trump aides were given to officials at the National Security Council (NSC), the Department of Defense, James Clapper, President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, and John Brennan, Obama’s CIA Director.

Nikitas3.com comment: Fox and Bloomberg are hardly Trump lovers. That these two media organizations are joining in on these charges must be extremely troubling for Democrats.

Pollock writes: Critics of the atmosphere prevailing throughout the Obama administration’s last year in office point to former Obama Deputy Defense Secretary Evelyn Farkas who admitted in a March 2 television interview on MSNBC that she “was urging my former colleagues,” to “get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration.”

Nikitas3.com comment: OK, a direct admission by a high Obama official. That doesn’t look good.

Pollock writes: Col. (Ret.) James Waurishuk, an NSC veteran and former deputy director for intelligence at the U.S. Central Command, told TheDCNF that many hands had to be involved throughout the Obama administration to launch such a political spying program.

“The surveillance initially is the responsibility of the National Security Agency,” Waurishuk said. “They have to abide by this guidance when one of the other agencies says, ‘we’re looking at this particular person which we would like to unmask.’”

“The lawyers and counsel at the NSA surely would be talking to the lawyers and members of counsel at CIA, or at the National Security Council or at the Director of National Intelligence or at the FBI,” he said. “It’s unbelievable of the level and degree of the administration to look for information on Donald Trump and his associates, his campaign team and his transition team. This is really, really serious stuff.”

Nikitas3.com comment: It sure is. This is why Rice appeared so stiff and posed in her TV interview. And this is why Obama is conveniently on the other side of the world, in Tahiti. The heat is on. Obama does not want to be around. He probably will stay a few extra months in paradise, praying that things calm down. But they won’t. This thing is on the way up.

Pollock writes: Michael Doran, former NSC senior director, told TheDCNF Monday that “somebody blew a hole in the wall between national security secrets and partisan politics.” This “was a stream of information that was supposed to be hermetically sealed from politics and the Obama administration found a way to blow a hole in that wall.”

Nikitas3.com comment: If Trump did anything vaguely like this he would be ridden out of Washington on a rail. If this can be traced back to Obama it is going to be a nuclear explosion for the Democrats.
