President Trump should fire independent counsel Robert Mueller.
Mueller was appointed under false pretenses. He was hired to investigate Trump collusion with Russia, which is a fake story. Now Mueller appears to be dropping that narrative and is allegedly going to investigate obstruction of justice, money laundering and who knows what else.
This is bait-and-switch. We would not allow it at WalMart and we should not allow it in Washington. Mueller is obviously going to turn this probe into a catch-all “fishing expedition” to damage Trump.
Mueller also is hiring left-leaning staff including a Clinton-related lawyer, and then look at this from The Gateway Pundit:
Billionaire chair of Google parent company Alphabet, Inc., Eric Schmidt, led a fundraising effort in December for a left-wing analytics firm called “Civis Anaylitics”, which was represented by WilmerHale, the law firm Mueller was working for prior to quitting to investigate the “Russia probe”.
Yet in the US legal system a judge or juror can be removed from a case if he/she has a bias toward either side. This should apply to Mueller as well. This investigation is just another legal travesty being perpetrated against another Republican.
Nikitas3.com says: Be strong, Mr. President. Fire Robert Mueller. The media will go hysterical and then three days later the issue will disappear just like every other media tirade against you has fizzled away.
Mueller has another major conflict of interest which is explained at the end of this editorial.
Meanwhile attorney general Sessions should appoint six separate independent prosecutors to investigate Comey himself; the Clintons and their Foundation; Fast and Furious; Loretta Lynch’s secret meeting with Bill Clinton; Hillary’s emails; and Obama’s use of IRS to intimidate and silence conservative groups.
In other words, Sessions should fight fire with a flamethrower since he could incinerate the Democrats. There are mountains of evidence against them. It is a mystery to Nikitas3.com why Sessions has not already done this.
Now here is today’s second commentary:
President Trump is influencing our nation for the better in ways that most Americans do not even understand yet.
Despite the uproar over Comey, the travel ban, Russia and every other media-generated ‘controversy’, president Trump is moving forward with his agenda. The confirmation of Supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch is just one such part of this agenda.
The House passage of the Obamacare repeal is another, with Senate passage and a presidential signature possibly coming soon. This alone would be an historic political achievement – to repeal a Big Government program, and happening in the first six months of Trump’s presidency.
But the president also is acting in many ways that are not obvious to most of us in the way that legislation is. These are subtle but profound changes that are happening behind the scenes and at a fundamental level. Meanwhile Democrats are doing everything in their power to deflect the president and the American people from this ‘hidden’ change. Here are the ways in which president Trump is changing America:
*Trump is ending the ‘green’ War on Jobs. We were told for decades that EPA and all of its regulations were saving us from eco-destruction. This is untrue. They were causing our economic destruction. Trump has exposed this. Fantastic. He not only is relaxing endless regulations through executive order, but he is seeking to pare EPA and its budget and power way back.
When president Trump pulled the US out of the Paris ‘climate’ deal that was another blow to the radicals. They never thought that any American leader would do anything like this. Now that it is done, Americans will start to forget about this ‘climate’ extremism and enjoy millions more jobs with zero effect on the environment.
EPA administrator Scott Pruitt is putting a leash on this agency and most Americans are happy. They are tired of seeing millions of jobs killed over every furbish lousewort. A new coal mine recently opened in Pennsylvania. Wonderful. We also must open up the ANWR oil reserve in Alaska.
*Education secretary Betsy DeVos is working behind the scenes to promote charter schools and school vouchers. We have never had a national figure working in this way. There are tens of millions of Americans who want challenges to a failed public education system. It is starting under Trump. Democrats are furious.
*The aggressive gay/sex-changer agenda is being shelved. After decades in which we were supposed to genuflect to this agenda, Trump is pushing back against it, first by repealing the odious Obama “bathroom” order.
*The economy is improving slowly. After decades in which we watched good jobs flee the US, we have a new way of thinking. Suddenly Americans have stopped accepting job losses. Since president Trump was elected, more than 100,000 manufacturing and mining jobs have been created, after they have been disappearing for 40 years. It is going to take years to turn this ship around, but president Trump is starting the process.
*Traditional values are being respected again. One example out of hundreds: The football player who disrespected the National Anthem now is being blackballed and marginalized. Good. A few years ago, under Obama, he might have gotten a pass or even been lionized as a beacon of “free speech”.
*Respect for law enforcement has risen: Police officers were being killed in shocking numbers under the last two years of Obama. This seems to have slowed under president Trump. This is happening because president Trump has set a new tone of respect for law enforcement. Obama’s tone was anti-police and so we had more violence against police.
*The media are collapsing. Trump is driving the media to extreme reactions and this is exposing the media and leading Americans to shut off the mainstream media by the millions. Good. ESPN, the sports network, has been injecting liberal bias even into sports reporting, leading to the loss of millions of viewers, and layoffs. This is accelerating under president Trump. Hundreds of liberal newspapers across America are hanging by a financial thread.
*Welfare dependency is being stigmatized again, as it should be. Obama legitimized it, but president Trump is starting to make changes in the way we think about government programs. He not only wants to cut their budgets and replace dependency with jobs, but he also wants to require those who remain dependent to work.
This is a very effective strategy. The state of Georgia reported that food stamp rolls fell a stunning 62% when work requirement were put into place.
Fantastic. Let’s do this nationwide and save hundreds of billions every year in taxpayer money on all of these handout programs. Food stamp dependency increased 50% nationally under Obama. This is no surprise. It now will fall under Trump as the economy improves and as governments crack down on freeloaders.
*By suggesting for the first time that taxpayer-funded outfits like National Public Radio, the National Endowment for the Arts and other agencies be cut off, president Trump is putting into motion changes that were never thought possible just one year ago. This is what terrifies liberals most, that Americans are going to start to see a “new normal” without subsidized NPR, NEA, unlimited welfare, etc.
*Illegal entries into the US have plummeted significantly under president Trump simply because illegals are scared of Trump while attorney general Sessions announced that illegals are no longer welcome. Visitors from the “travel ban” nations have fallen even without the ban. This shows how president Trump is changing America with not only actions, but with his words.
*Economic confidence has skyrocketed to levels not seen in decades. And confidence is what the economy needs since the economy is largely psychological. When president Trump saved those Carrier jobs just by talking to the executives at Carrier, it showed what a bold and proactive leader can do.
The very presence of Obama in the White House, on the other hand, had a devastating effect on the economy. Obama was a dark and negative force.
*Energy independence is becoming a reality. The US has more than enough oil, coal and natural gas for our needs for thousands of years. Obama blocked carbon energy production in any way he could. Trump is going in the opposite direction. Good. This will lead to stable and lower energy prices and more economic growth.
*Foreign affairs: Rather than blindly following the globalist template of ‘climate change’ alarmism, military weakness, open borders, high taxes, stagnant economies and other canards, Trump is showing real leadership. Fantastic. If Europe and the elites do not like it, then that is too bad.
*Obama presided over precipitous declines in US military spending and readiness. President Trump is seeking more money for the military to address this. Great. Trump also wants respect for our soldiers. Under Obama it has been reported that about 200 US service members have been jailed for alleged “crimes” committed against terrorist enemies on the battlefield. This is beyond disgraceful. President Trump is re-defining the so-called ‘rules of engagement’ so that our soldiers can fight the bad guys without fear. Trump should pardon every single imprisoned soldier.
*President Trump is pro-life and his administration is too. Great. This will be reflected in a more aggressive stance against easy access to abortion.
*President Trump is the most pro-Christian president that we have had in the last 100 years in a time when Christians are under assault all over the globe. God bless president Trump! He is going to roll back all of this anti-Christian bigotry, like the media/political attacks on bakeries and florists that refuse to do homosexual weddings. He also has established strong ties with the pro-Christian president of Egypt, general el-Sisi.
*President Trump got Neil Gorsuch confirmed to the Supreme Court. He also is filling federal judgeships with conservatives, along with the Justice Department. This is going to have a long-lasting effect on the nation. And he still could appoint up to four more Supreme Court justices if he serves two terms, which Nikitas3.com predicts he will. This is because there are four justices who are close to or older than 80, including left-winger Ruth Bader Ginsburg (age 84), who has been sick for years.
*The Trump Family as role models: President Trump’s wife and children are hard-working, strong, optimistic and moral people, and good role models. Compare this to Michelle Obama’s perpetual scowl, Bill Clinton’s abhorrent behavior with Monica Lewinsky, Hillary’s serial corruption regarding the Clinton Foundation and her emails, or the philandering, lawbreaking Kennedys and you have the difference between night and day.
Former vice president Joe Biden’s family has been caught in repeated scandals, most recently both his niece and his son. The alcoholic wife of ‘greenie’ Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hanged herself in 2012, leaving behind four children. You would never see this type of behavior among the Trumps or in the Pence family.
*Finally and most importantly president Trump is standing personally strong despite endless media assaults. He is staring down the crazies on the left and in the media and Democrat party.
This is going to have a long-term impact on our nation. Tens of millions of Trump supporters are now energized and are never again going be cowed by the media or Democrats. They are fighting back, for instance by inundating CNN with phone calls over a vile anti-Trump commentator, leading that commentator to be fired. And this, friends, is just the beginning.
Now here are excerpts from a commentary by Greg Jarrett of Fox News giving yet another reason why Robert Mueller should be fired:
Robert Mueller has a serious conflict of interest that should disqualify him from serving as special counsel. He has had a long and close relationship with someone who will surely become a pivotal witness –James Comey.
…How can Americans have confidence in the results if they know the special counsel may harbor a conspicuous bias? They cannot. The conflict inevitably discredits whatever conclusion is reached. It renders the entire investigatory exercise suspect, and it only elevates the controversy surrounding it.
For this reason, Mueller should not serve as special counsel.
The law governing the special counsel (28 CFR 600.7) specifically prohibits him from serving if he has a conflict of interest in the case. The rule has been interpreted to mean that even the appearance of a conflict is sufficient for disqualification.
A conflict of interest is a situation in which an individual has competing interests or loyalties. The conflict itself creates a clash between that individual’s self-interest or bias and his professional or public interest. It calls into question whether he can discharge his responsibilities in a fair, objective and impartial manner.
… So what exactly is Mueller’s conflict? He and Comey are good friends and former colleagues who worked hand-in-hand at the FBI and Department of Justice. Agents will tell you they were joined at the hip. They stood together in solidarity, both threatening to resign over the warrantless wiretapping fiasco involving then-Attorney General John Ashcroft in 2004.
Comey regards his predecessor as a mentor, while Mueller considers Comey his protégé. When Comey was appointed to succeed Mueller as FBI Director, both men appeared together and were effusive in their praise of one another. Their relationship is not merely a casual one. It is precisely the kind of association which ethical rules are designed to guard against.
