Frank Giaccio from Virginia is the 11-year-old boy who had written a letter to president Trump offering to mow the White House lawn.
Frank got the job and the story has gone viral and certainly has created a great future for Frank. He says that he wants to become a Navy SEAL. Awesome. He surely is at the front of the line for 11-year-olds who want to become SEALs.
The video of Frank struggling to push the mower across the deep grass of the Rose Garden lawn with president Trump walking alongside him is hilarious. In the video Frank did not seem to even notice the president since he was so engrossed in the job at hand.
The people making the video were very much amused, as are the millions who now have seen the video. Even after Frank acknowledged POTUS, he continued mowing, suggesting that he had a job to do and nothing was going to stop him.
The president then congratulated Frank on a job well done and took him on a tour of the White House.
This event provided some much-appreciated relief from the media savagery directed at the president. It allowed Americans to see that Mr. Trump is really a decent human being who wants America to succeed. And you can be sure that he sees great hope in people like Frank Giaccio to Make America Great Again.
Naturally one bed-wetter at the New York Times actually said that Frank’s lawn mowing was a bad example for child labor!
Unreal. These people are humorless…
Nikitas3.com believes that this event coincides with another reality, and that is that president Trump is turning a corner in his war with the media. Nikitas3.com estimates that Lawn Mower Boy alone will add several points to the president’s popularity even in the phony polls that exist today.
More importantly it appears that the media rage directed at our leader is not having the desired effect anyway, and that even the liberal elites are admitting this. But don’t take my word for it. Even the exalted liberal website Politico has run a story about it. That article is excerpted here, with a Nikitas3.com comment after each excerpt:
Politico reports: Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia.
None of it is working.
Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe Trump’s historically low approval numbers mean a landslide is coming. The party is defending 10 Senate seats in states that Trump won and needs to flip 24 House seats to take control of that chamber.
Nikitas3.com comment: Nikitas3.com has discussed this issue many times. I said over and over throughout 2015 and 2016 that Trump would be elected president, even as far back as 2011. And that he saved the Republican party and that Republicans are going to do well in 2018, maybe get to 62 US Senate seats and also maintain control of the House going into 2020.
I have said repeatedly that Trump would never succumb to the Democrat smear machine because Trump is strong and not intimidated by his political enemies.
But don’t take my word for it. Look at these elite outfits like Politico which, by the way, never predicted that Trump would win.
Politico reports: The research, conducted by private firms and for Democratic campaign arms, is rarely made public but was described to POLITICO in interviews with a dozen top operatives who’ve been analyzing the results coming in.
“(If ruthlessly attacking Trump is) driving the Democratic Party, we’re going to drive right into the ocean,” said Anson Kaye, a strategist at media firm GMMB who worked on the Obama and Clinton campaigns and is in conversations with potential clients for next year.
Nikitas3.com comment: Gee, how come Nikitas3.com has not been hired as an overpaid political strategist? I said years ago that Hillary Clinton was a weak candidate who could be beaten. I voted for Trump in the primary. When Trump got the nomination, I said that the election was in the bag. Yet not a single one of these revered “strategists” got it right because the election of 2016 did not fall into a standard pattern with a predictable outcome that these political dinosaurs could then comment on.
Politico reports: Many of the ideas (that Democrat) party leaders have latched onto in an attempt to appeal to their lost voters — free college tuition, raising the minimum wage to $15, even Medicare for all — test poorly among voters outside (of Democrat ‘base’ voters). The people in these polls and focus groups tend to see those proposals as empty promises, at best.
Nikitas3.com comment: This is because decades of experience, along with a unique American skepticism, have taught Americans that socialism is malarkey. We are lucky to live in a nation where common sense is still alive. In much of the world, and some of America, it is deader than a doornail.
Politico reports: Pollsters are shocked by how many voters describe themselves as “exhausted” by the constant chaos surrounding Trump… (who) is still viewed as an outsider shaking up the system, which people in the various surveys say they like, and which Democrats don’t stack up well against.
Nikitas3.com comment: Of course voters are “exhausted”. But that still is a shock to the skunks in Washington and in the media who have stirred up this constant stream of invective against Trump, thinking that it will defeat him. It is actually not only not working but Nikitas3.com believes that it is producing a big backlash of sympathy for Trump. Otherwise Trump’s popularity would be 10%.
Indeed the Trump presidency had an uneven start, like most presidencies do. It now is working more smoothly. Have you noticed, for instance, that the leaks have dried up after Trump fired Republican insider Reince Preibus as chief of staff? No surprise there. Preibus is a rat, just like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are rats.
Politico reports: “People do think (that Trump is) bringing about change, so it’s hard to say he hasn’t kept his promises,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.
In focus groups, most participants say they’re still impressed with Trump’s business background and tend to give him credit for the improving economy. The window is closing, but they’re still inclined to give him a chance to succeed.
Nikitas3.com comment: No, the window is not closing. That is another Democrat myth. Trump is setting the stage for long-term reforms that require strong leadership and patience. Democrats are terrified of this. That is why they want him out – so that Americans don’t get a chance to see what is really happening or see the positive results.
Politico reports: Voters are also generally unimpressed by claims that Trump exaggerates or lies, and they don’t see the ongoing Russia investigation adding up to much.
Nikitas3.com comment: No surprise there. If this Russia investigation was threatening to Trump, then Robert Mueller would be in the headlines every day. Instead he has largely disappeared.
Politico reports: Democratic operatives (should stop) assuming that what they think is morally right is the best politics. A case in point is Trump’s response to the violence in Charlottesville. The president’s equivocation on neo-Nazis was not as much of a political problem as his opponents want to believe, Democratic operatives say, and shifting the debate to whether or not to remove Confederate monuments largely worked for him.
Nikitas3.com comment: That is because most Americans are not radicals like the Democrats and media are, and don’t see these issues in the stark terms that liberals do. Case in point: Trump did not “equivocate” on neo-nazis. He said correctly that violence on the left is as evil as violence from anywhere. Duh…
Americans are fed up with these attacks on Trump as Hitler, and all of this other name-calling from the left. But liberals cannot help themselves. They have nothing rational to say. They are driven by their radical emotions. A liberal acquaintance of Nikitas3.com recently insisted that Trump would be impeached soon. I laughed.
Politico reports: Many of the proposals Democrats are pushing fall flat in focus groups and polling.
The call for free college tuition fosters both resentment at ivory tower elitism and regret from people who have degrees but are now buried under debt. Many voters see “free” as a lie — either they’ll end up paying for tuition some other way, or worse, they’ll be paying the tuition of someone else who’ll be getting a degree for free.
Nikitas3.com comment: This is another awakening of the American voter to the fraud of socialism. This is long overdue. All wise people around the globe realize this. But in many places, wise people are in the minority, like on our college campuses.
Politico reports: Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Gerstein Bocian Agne Strategies conducted online polling of 1,000 Democrats and 1,000 swing voters across 52 swing districts for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Their advice to candidates afterward: Drop the talk of free college. Instead, the firms urged Democrats to emphasize making college more affordable and reducing debt, as well as job skills training, according to an internal DCCC memo.
“When Democrats go and talk to working-class voters, we think talking to them about how we can help their children go to college, they have a better life, is great,” said Ali Lapp, executive director of House Majority PAC, which supports Democratic House candidates. “They are not interested. … It’s a problem when you have a growing bloc in the electorate think that college is not good, and they actually disdain folks that go to college.”
Nikitas3.com comment: Yessiree, the fraud of higher education also has been exposed, particularly in the last 10 years as massive student debt has been revealed precisely as academia has swung to the hard, hard left. These greedy, manipulative colleges need to be cut down to size. And some of them are. Three overtly left-wing colleges, Evergreen, Oberlin and Mizzou, have seen sharp drops in enrollment and growing financial problems. This is just the beginning. Let us hope for much more.
Politico reports: Medicare-for-all tests better, but it, too, generates suspicion. The challenge is that most voters in focus groups believe it’s a pipe dream — they ask who will pay for it and suspect it will lead to a government takeover of health care — and therefore wonder whether the politicians talking to them about it are being less than forthright, too. Sen. Bernie Sanders is scheduled to release a single-payer bill on Wednesday, with Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Tammy Baldwin among those joining him.
Nikitas3.com comment: Sanders, Warren, Harris, Booker and Baldwin are all way out on the political left, which is a shrinking political base as proven by Republicans’ overall political strength today. Example: 34 governors are now Republicans, while 68 out of 99 state legislative bodies are now Republican-majority.
Politico reports: Raising the minimum wage to $15 is as unpopular as it was when the Obama White House tried to make it Democrats’ rallying cry in the 2014 midterms. Participants in battleground-state focus groups said they see that rate as relatively high and the issue in general as being mostly about redistributing money to the poor.
Nikitas3.com comment: Working-class white people no longer are seduced by utopian ideas like the $15 minimum, which they see as another government-enforced pipe dream that will never work. The end of the super-prosperity of post-World War II America has really awakened the people to what works and what does not. If government could do it, then it would have worked by now. It hasn’t. It has made things much worse.
Politico reports: “What you’re seeing is this thing that Democrats cannot seem to figure out — this notion that somehow if we just put the words together correctly that’ll be the winning message and we’ll win,” Kaye said. “That is the opposite of how the electorate is behaving.”
Nikitas3.com comment: That is because Democrats have been focused for decades only on getting and maintaining power, not on addressing the needs of people. These needs are enormous and can be addressed easily by conservative policies. But Democrats do not want these issues addressed since it would expose them as a failure.
Politico reports: On immigration and trade, voters remain largely aligned with Trump. Data show that voters believe that the economy is moving in the right direction and resent Democrats attacking its progress.
Nikitas3.com comment: The economy is the most important issue to most people. When Trump continues to dominate on this issue, he will win re-election.
Politico reports: “People would like more of a sense of reassurance … than we’ve had so far,” Hart said. “For the Democrats, part of that is recognizing that it’s not that there’s an overwhelming agenda item on the part of the American public — it’s not the economy or health care or some single issue — but it is the sense that somehow things are very out of sorts, and it touches so many different issues.”
Nikitas3.com comment: Yes, indeed, things are “very out of sorts”. And this favors Trump. The status quo has failed. And Democrats represent the status quo. Obama’s failed presidency illustrates this perfectly well.
