There has been another high school mass murder, this one in Florida. Nikitas3.com posted an editorial on these types of shootings on January 24, 2018. It is here.
The Miami Herald reported about the Florida murders, which took 17 lives:
The former student suspected of opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland may been identified a potential threat to fellow students in the past, according to one teacher.
… “We were told last year that he wasn’t allowed on campus with a backpack on him,” said math teacher Jim Gard, who said Cruz had been in his class last year. “There were problems with him last year threatening students, and I guess he was asked to leave campus.”
The Broward County School District Superintendent, however, told reporters on Wednesday afternoon that he did not know of any concerns raised about the student.
Another student interviewed on the scene by WSVN-7 said the student had guns at home and talked about using them.
A student, who was not identified, said he knows the shooter. “He’s been a troubled kid,” said the student, “and he’s always had a certain amount of issues going on. He shot guns because he felt it gave him, I guess, an exhilarating feeling.”
Fox News reported about the killer:
“Honestly, a lot of people were saying it was gonna be him,” the unnamed student told the news station. He said kids joked around that the student would be the one to “shoot up the school.”
“Yeah, he was on the third floor. He knows the school layout, he knows where everyone would be at as of right now,” the student said. “He’s been with us in fire drills, he’s prepared for this stuff.”
This is yet another act of violence when the perpetrator was known to many people and nobody acted.
Where was the school administration and the local police to monitor this guy? His Instagram pages contained many references to violence. How did he enter the school, not with a handgun but with a rifle?
The Columbine killers were well known as lunatics to their schoolmates. One even had been reported to Colorado police for threatening a fellow student. But nobodby acted. The Virginia Tech killer was well known as a whacko on campus, but nobody acted. FBI even had interviewed the Boston Marathon bomber several years before the act but did nothing.
It is time to change our way of thinking. We fail to act because we have been conditioned by 50 years of political correctness that we should not “judge” anybody, or “profile” anyone on account of their race, behavior, ethnicity, religion, etc.
It is time for this to end. Today. No more blaming guns. We must take responsibility to act against bad people.
Now here is today’s main commentary:
Innocent Until Proven Guilty, Except Conservatives
After White House staff secretary Rob Porter resigned his post over allegations of spousal abuse president Trump tweeted:
Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused – life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?
Naturally Trump was savaged for the tweet but the president has a very good point. After all nobody has been more of a target of unproven and spurious allegations than Trump himself like the charge that he once hired prostitutes in Moscow to urinate on a hotel bed.
Republicans have been victims of such media smears since the 1960s. Everyone from Richard Nixon to Ronald Reagan to House majority leader Tom DeLay have been sullied relentlessly. Here are some recent examples:
*In 2012 a female named Sharon Bialek accused Republican Herman Cain of sexual misconduct. Cain was running for the nomination to challenge Obama’s re-election. The charges were never proven but they helped to push Cain out of the race and Bialek was never heard from after that.
It turns out that Bialek lived in the same Chicago apartment building as top Obama adviser David Axelrod.
*Democrat US senator Harry Reid of Nevada said without any evidence whatsoever that 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney did not pay federal taxes on his income. This story stuck with millions of people through election day. It is typical of how a charge like that will stick just because it is uttered and amplified in the media. This is an ongoing tactic from the left.
*In another similar event in January 2018 Democrat US senator Dick Durbin of Illinois claimed that president Trump had referred to certain poor nations as “shithole countries” The president denied saying it as did several officials at the meeting. But the Fake News media treated it as if he had definitely said it.
Durbin had done the same thing back in 2013 to another Republican, and had been exposed as a liar. You can google “Durbin lied 2013” to read about that incident.
*Republican judge Roy Moore was defeated in the US Senate race in Alabama by never-proven 40-year-old allegations of sexual contact with an underage girl. After the allegations were made in November 2017 the girl, now grown, disappeared from sight. Her job was done.
Another of Moore’s accusers said that he had assaulted her in 1979 and she presented a signed high school yearbook from 1977 that showed that they had met when Moore signed the book.
But when Nikitas3.com saw the yearbook I declared immediately that it was a fraud. And lo and behold the accuser admitted several weeks later that the signature had been forged. Moore still lost the race and that woman also faded from view. As expected.
Now we have had every type of allegation against president Trump like the Russia collusion story. Or minor stories, for instance that he had called the White House “a real dump”. He denied it and there never has been proof that he said it.
The point of these day-by-day attacks is to put out the smear and damage a Republican. And then when the truth comes out, or it is never proven, voters have forgotten about it and the original charge sticks.
Other major Republican and conservative figures have been victims of disproven or debunked charges like defense secretary Caspar Weinberger; governor Sarah Palin of Alaska; governor Rick Perry of Texas; US senator Ted Stevens of Alaska; governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia; senate majority leader Joe Bruno of New York state and many more.
But this game sometimes boomerangs. One of the big stories that backfired on the Fake News media was the untrue September 2004 allegation aired by Dan Rather of CBS News that incumbent president George W. Bush had falsified National Guard service records. Rather lost his job and his lifetime reputation.
In the Mueller probe of president Trump the most important figure to lose his standing is not a Republican or a member of the Trump administration. It is Tony Podesta, one of the most powerful Democrat operatives in Washington.
When Mueller indicted Paul Manafort on charges from way back in 2006, Podesta was exposed for having been involved with Manafort and the government of Ukraine back then through his lobbying firm. Within days of the Manafort indictment Podesta stepped down from The Podesta Group and the firm then closed its doors.
In other words, things got turned around on the Democrats; without even being charged by the prosecutor (Mueller) who was out to bring down Trump, Podesta essentially admitted some type of guilt and threw in the towel. Wow.
Our nation is built on the principle that you are “innocent until proven guilty”, which is the only reasonable basis on which to build a free and fair criminal justice system. We also adhere to Sir William Blackstone’s dictum that it “is better that ten guilty persons escape then that one innocent suffer”
Liberals’ disregard for the presumption of innocence has come back to bite them badly. The males who are overwhelmingly losing their careers over mere allegations of sexual harassment and abuse are 95% liberals in Hollywood and in the New York media and entertainment industry, along with some DC media figures.
On the other hand this legal war has always given a pass to Democrats whenever possible. Former president Bill Clinton has never faced any serious scrutiny over rape allegations from 1978. His media friends have treated the charges by Juanita Broaddrick as fiction from the start.
Perhaps the most famous case that was never prosecuted involved Democrat US senator Teddy Kennedy of Massachusetts. Late at night in July 1969 he drove his car off of a bridge into the water on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. This was not a mere allegation. This definitely happened. We have the photos of the car.
A young passenger in the car named Mary Jo Kopechne drowned in what was certainly an accident. But Kennedy tried to cover up the drowning to save his reputation since he was probably drunk, and he was married at the time.
Thus the real crime was not the accident itself; the crime would be driving drunk and leaving the scene of an accident and worse trying to cover up the accident, particularly a drowning death. Kennedy also lied about the event in public statements that did not jive with reality.
But alas Kennedy never missed a day of work in the US Senate. If Donald Trump did anything even vaguely like that he would never be president.
Or how about the mysterious 2017 death of a young black male from Texas at the home of a top homosexual Democrat donor in Los Angeles. Here is Fox News reporting on that:
Gemmel Moore, 26, was discovered by police on July 27 inside the apartment of Ed Buck, 63. Buck is a well-known Democratic contributor, and has given more than $500,000 to an array of Democrats including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and a variety of state and local organizations in California.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office initially ruled the death an accidental methamphetamine overdose. But the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau on Aug. 14 announced they would investigate if there is any criminal culpability, after Moore’s family and friends disputed the initial finding.
… According to the July 31 coroner’s report, Buck’s apartment was riddled with drug paraphernalia. Among the items found were 24 syringes containing brown residue, five glass pipes with white residue and burn marks, a plastic straw with possible white residue, clear plastic bags with white powdery residue and a clear plastic bag containing a piece of crystal-like substance.
This is a top Democrat donor. This is all shocking. There are thousands of other cases against liberals that have never gone to trial, or where the victims have refused to testify out of fear, like against the Clintons.
We know that Democrats have special techniques to silence their opponents and “get away with murder” as the old saying goes. For decades the Clintons have used threats and intimidation against anyone who might have exposed them. We can just imagine what they have done that we know nothing about.
How about those shady Pakistani-born tech specialists who worked on computers for an array of Democrat congresspeople in Washington, and even had access to sensitive classified information. Shouldn’t these congresspeople, including Debbie Wasserman Schultz, former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, be investigated for allowing this threat to national security to happen?
Of course. But so far they have not.
The Kennedy family has been involved in corruption in countless ways. For instance it has been reported for decades that US attorney general Bobby Kennedy was in Los Angeles the night that Marilyn Monroe suspiciously died in 1962, and that she died shortly before she was planning to expose Kennedy treachery in public testimony.
