Diamond & Silk, Kanye West: A New Black Political Alignment?

Who would have thought that the election of a conservative white president like Donald Trump might lead to a political realignment among African-Americans.

It could be happening. And while outspoken blacks like the female duo of Diamond & Silk and the black rapper Kanye West speaking in favor of Trump certainly does not mean a landslide of new black support for Republicans that is not the point.

The point is that blacks could shift in small but significant numbers to Republicans and conservatives, totally remaking the national political dynamic.

Current estimates say that 5% to 8% of blacks vote Republican in any given election. If this goes to 7% or 10% it could tilt many crucial political races to the GOP. This is why conservative blacks come under so much fire from Democrats.

Blacks historically voted Republican or supported Republican agendas. The Republican party was founded in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin as the anti-slavery party; the most vociferous anti-slavery activists were conservative Christian preachers; Republican president Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation freeing the slaves; all black elected officials after the Civil War were Republicans; and blacks voted almost exclusively Republican up until the 1930s and the New Deal, and then largely Republican up until the 1960s.

On the other hand the South, and its slavery, were dominated by the Democrat party that hated the Republicans for seeking to end slavery; the Ku Klux Klan was the military arm of the Democrat party; while the most vocal opponents of the Civil Rights act of 1964 were Democrats like Al Gore Sr., the US senator from Tennessee, and J. William Fulbright of Arkansas, a Democrat US senator and the political mentor of Bill Clinton. (Clinton and Al Gore Jr. were the president-vice president team from 1993 to 2001.)

Meanwhile the longest-serving US senator in American history, Democrat Robert Byrd of West Virginia, had served in his younger years as a ‘grand kleagle’ (leader) in the Klan.

Democrats took almost full control of black America in the 1960s by offering more government programs and by firing up blacks against whites as the source of all black problems. This “bought” the black vote but it also created an emotionally-driven and easily-controlled population.

Today a growing number of blacks understand the disastrous results of decades of Democrat rule. Many millions of blacks suffer in degraded conditions in all-Democrat congressional precincts. Their anger is conveniently aimed at Republicans and conservatives far away, not at the leaders in their own neighborhoods, or at their neighbors or themselves.

This is a standard Democrat tactic – always blame others for your problems and never take personal responsibility. That is very easy to do. And it makes the failing black population feel better, but it does not change their prospects.

Now that Kanye West has thrown his support behind president Trump, Democrats and other left-wing activists have gone nuclear on West. This is to be expected. After all West has 27 million Facebook followers while Diamond & Silk have millions of black fans throughout the country.

If just 1 or 2 million of these followers shift their votes to Republican then it is trouble for the Democrat party. If 3 or 4 million shift it is armageddon. Liberals are so terrified of the influence of Diamond & Silk that Facebook shut down their page. Meanwhile the Washington Examiner reports:

Rapper Daz Dillinger, a former member of Snoop Dogg’s posse and self-described “god” of the West Coast Crips, has urged fellow street gang members to hurt Kanye West following his endorsement of President Trump.

“Yo, national alert. All the Crips up out here, yo fuck Kanye up. You see that motherfucker, yo fuck his ass up on GP. This Crip shit, nigga. We gon’ show you how we come together and ride on your motherfuckin ass,” Dillinger said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “Where you at right now? All those Crips out there, you see that nigga, bang on his ass. fuck his ass up, fuck Kanye West up.”

In case you don’t know, this really means to kill Kanye West. And this is what we have come to expect from the Democrats and the left – threats and violence. After all three Trump supporters were murdered and more than 200 assaulted since 2016. Many pro-Trump properties and Trump properties have been vandalized.

This is intended to frighten voters away from supporting Trump just like anyone in a black neighborhood who puts up a Republican political sign is targeted; a Trump sign is vastly worse.
This is a despicable tactic of the left and it is out in the open. And it gets no criticism whatsoever from the Democrat establishment.

So now imagine that one Trump supporter did such things to one black Democrat. It would be a national story and Republicans would be warned that this is a crime of unspeakable dimension and that Republicans must condemn the action.

Meanwhile president Trump has brought black unemployment to historic lows. Democrats fear this, that blacks will see real results in their lives and think differently about Republicans and their policies. This is why the terrible economy under Obama was sold as “the new normal” and that we should expect more of the same and that nobody can change it.

This was all intended to suppress the black mind into accepting a permanent “slave” mentality and hopelessness just like blacks were slaves under Democrats in the South. But Trump may be changing that dynamic permanently.

Blacks also have traditionally opposed illegal immigration for bringing in large numbers of aliens willing to work for less, undercutting black American wages and opportunity. Thus African-Americans should be backing Trump and his policy to get tough on illegal immigration.
