More Swamp Dwellers Resign / FBI Suffers under the Liberals

Fox News reports:

Two FBI officials who worked closely with embattled former bureau director James Comey have left the agency, Fox News has confirmed.

Jim Baker, a top FBI lawyer who was reassigned in late 2017 after being linked to a journalist who wrote about the so-called “Trump dossier,” is reportedly looking to join the Brookings Institution, a Washington think tank.

Lisa Page, whose electronic communications with another FBI employee drew accusations of political bias, “resigned” Friday to “pursue other opportunities,” an FBI spokesperson told Fox News.

… Baker had been the subject of a Justice Department investigation on suspicion of leaking classified information about the so-called “Trump dossier” – a document that supposedly contained evidence about the Trump campaign’s connection to Russia.

… Page, who was previously a member of Robert Mueller’s special counsel team, came under fire for allegedly sending “anti-Trump” text messages to a colleague.

She was one of Comey’s advisers in 2016 when the former director announced the bureau would not pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified emails.

This is great news. Two more Swamp Dwellers are now gone on top of other major figures including fired FBI director James Comey and deposed deputy director Andrew McCabe. And by the time president Trump leaves office in January 2025 dozens more will follow since the process starts slow and then snowballs.

And as the media and Democrats tell us how awful president Trump is and how Republicans are going to lose in a landslide in the November mid-term elections another major anti-Trump Democrat has quit his post.

In the Swamp of Albany, New York the state’s Democrat attorney general Eric Schneiderman resigned after four women charged him with sexual abuse.

New York corruption runs very, very deep. Democrats largely control the state since Democrats from the cities, particularly New York City, are very powerful, greedy and power-hungry. They steal everything in sight.

Four other important New York Democrats have gone down in the past decade – Governor Andrew Cuomo’s top aide recently was convicted of corruption; congressman Anthony Weiner is currently in jail (we all know who he is); former assembly speaker Sheldon Silver is going to a new trial for $4 million in corruption; and former attorney general and governor Eliot Spitzer resigned the governorship in 2008 in a prostitution scandal.

As attorneys general, Schneiderman and Spitzer pursued Donald Trump and other innocent Wall Street and business figures like Maurice ‘Hank’ Greenberg of insurance giant AIG; or on the other hand they pursued small businesses like local home-improvement contractors to make it look like they were doing something important. All the while they have ignored the deep-seated corruption among New York Democrats who are among the most contaminated politicians in the history of America.

We can assume that Cuomo knew about Schneiderman since these charges were around for some time. Why didn’t Cuomo act and fire him?

Answer: Because Cuomo is the most corrupt fish of all.

Schneiderman also was strongly behind the feminist #metoo movement. What a hypocrite. And he has been involved in every possible state action imaginable against the oil companies, the Trump agenda, etc. In other words he is an activist left-wing attorney general and thus his demise is all the more wonderful. You can be sure that Democrats are privately crestfallen over this guy’s resignation.

And Schneiderman’s resignation is just the start. He is going to be prosecuted for sexual abuse. It will be great to watch this skunk go down.

Two of Schneiderman’s accusers have come out publicly and are named. This comes in stark contrast to the four anonymous people who alleged misbehavior by president Trump’s White House doctor.

Good riddance to Schneiderman. This is another big win for president Trump. In fact Trump predicted Schneiderman’s demise back in 2013, tweeting:

Weiner is gone, Spitzer is gone – next will be lightweight A.G. Eric Schneiderman. Is he a crook? Wait and see, worse than Spitzer or Weiner

FBI Reputation is in Tatters under Democrat Control

In 1975 the Church Committee of the US Senate, chaired by Democrat senator Frank Church of Idaho, launched a major probe into the CIA, FBI and IRS.

Democrats said that these agencies were corrupt and were violating their duties, just like Democrats have been going after our police and military for decades now, accusing them of every type of wrongdoing.

Today we have the very legitimacy of the FBI being seriously questioned. This is no surprise after Democrats have incrementally emasculated and taken over the FBI after pushing out more conservative forces in the wake of the Church Committee.

Today we have the president of the United States calling former FBI director James Comey “a leaker and a liar”. Another former FBI director Robert Mueller, who is now the special counsel investigating the president over the fake Russia collusion story, has been trashed by Trump and in the conservative media for conducting a “witch hunt” against the president. Because that is exactly what the Mueller probe is. It is also a “fishing expedition”. Mueller is being called a “dirty cop” by some conservative media sources.

At the same time we have seen abuses by the Internal Revenue Service in its targeting of Tea Party groups under Obama.

Meanwhile the CIA director under Obama, a left-winger named John Brennan, is using his emeritus status to attack a sitting US president in ways that we have never seen before. This is miles outside the boundary of American political decorum.

And who could forget the Big One – FBI ignoring repeated warnings for many years leading up to 9/11. FBI could easily have stopped 9/11. It didn’t.

This all has happened incrementally after the Church Committee pushed out the responsible people who were keeping us safe. TIME magazine writer Eric Lichtblau recently posted an essay about the collapsing reputation of the FBI. His article is excerpted here with a comment after each excerpt:

TIME reports: The Justice Department’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, will soon release a much-anticipated assessment of Democratic and Republican charges that officials at the FBI interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign. That year-long probe, sources familiar with it tell TIME, is expected to come down particularly hard on former FBI director James Comey, who is currently on a high-profile book tour. It will likely find that Comey breached Justice Department protocols in a July 5, 2016, press conference when he criticized Hillary Clinton for using a private email server as Secretary of State even as he cleared her of any crimes, the sources say. comment: Horowitz is an Obama appointee. So even Obama appointees sometimes need to look into their own souls for the truth. This stuff, including the Parkland, Florida high school murders in February – which FBI ignored after having been tipped off twice – is a growing cancer on the FBI. But that is what you get when liberals take over a duty that once was done by serious adults.

TIME reports: The report closely follows an earlier one in April by Horowitz, which showed that the ousted deputy director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe, had lied to the bureau’s internal investigations branch to cover up a leak he orchestrated about Clinton’s family foundation less than two weeks before the election. (The case has since been referred to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., for potential prosecution.) Another IG report in March found that FBI retaliation against internal whistle-blowers was continuing despite years of bureau pledges to fix the problem. Last fall, Horowitz found that the FBI wasn’t adequately investigating “high-risk” employees who failed polygraph tests. comment: Boom, boom, boom. The rot starts at the top, in Washington. Look at the Three Stooges – Mueller, Comey and McCabe. They are all FBI Deep Staters committed to the status quo without regard for the duty that they were assigned.

TIME reports: There have been other painful, more public failures as well: missed opportunities to prevent mass shootings that go beyond the much-publicized overlooked warnings in the Parkland, Fla., school killings; an anguishing delay in the sexual-molestation probe into Olympic gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar; and evidence of misconduct by agents in the aftermath of standoffs with armed militias in Nevada and Oregon. FBI agents are facing criminal charges ranging from obstruction to leaking classified material. comment: This agency is like any agency that is taken over by the socialists. All standards go out the window. Its original mission is ignored in favor of the most important mission of all – keeping the Deep State bureaucracy in control and preserving its salaries, benefits and pensions and most importantly its power.

TIME reports: In the course of two dozen interviews for this story, agents and others expressed concern that the tumult is threatening the cooperation of informants, local and state police officials, and allies overseas. Even those who lived through past crises say the current one is more damaging. “We’ve seen ups and downs, but I’ve never seen anything like this,” says Robert Anderson, a senior official at the FBI who retired in 2015.

The FBI’s crisis of credibility appears to have seeped into the jury room. The number of convictions in FBI-led investigations has declined in each of the last five years, dropping nearly 11% over that period, according to a TIME analysis of data obtained from the Justice Department by researchers at Syracuse University. “We’ve already seen where the bad guys and witnesses look at those FBI credentials, and it might not carry the same weight anymore,” says O’Connor. comment: It is not just FBI’s own competence that is under question, but the decline in trustworthiness among informants, juries, police departments, etc. and others outside the agency. This leads to a collapse in the overall veracity of law enforcement. Liberals have been seeking this result for decades starting with the Church Committee. It is all no surprise.

TIME reports: Indeed, public support for the FBI has plunged. A PBS NewsHour survey in April showed a 10-point drop–from 71% to 61%–in the prior two months among Americans who thought the FBI was “just trying to do its job” and an 8-point jump–from 23% to 31%–among those who thought it was “biased against the Trump Administration.” comment: This is happening just since we got a new president who is not going to play footsie with the corrupt FBI and its cronies in Washington. Good. Drain the swamp!

TIME reports: Many of the bureau’s woes developed on Comey’s 3½-year watch. They extend beyond the most visible controversies, like the Clinton email and Russia investigations… Critics say Comey’s penchant for high-profile moral fights has, ironically, undermined the bureau’s reputation. Trump himself has used that line of argument to challenge the FBI. comment: Comey is dishonest. We need a new J. Edgar Hoover.

TIME reports: Just as troubling are recent FBI missteps not yet under the IG’s microscope. At 2:31 p.m. on Jan. 5, the FBI’s round-the-clock tip center in West Virginia received a chilling phone call. The caller gave her name and said she was close to the family of an 18-year-old in Parkland, Fla., named Nikolas Cruz. Over 13 minutes, she said Cruz had posted photos of rifles he owned and animals he mutilated and that he wanted “to kill people.” She listed his Instagram accounts and suggested the FBI check for itself, saying she was worried about the thought of his “getting into a school and just shooting the place up,” according to a transcript of the call.

The FBI specialist checked Cruz’s name against a database and found that another tipster had reported 3½ months earlier that a “Nikolas Cruz” posted a comment on his YouTube channel saying, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.” But neither tip was passed on to the FBI field agents in Miami or local officials in Parkland. After Cruz allegedly killed 17 people with an AR-15 rifle at his old school just six weeks later, the bureau admitted that it had dropped the ball and ordered a full review. “You look at this and say, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’” says Anderson, the former FBI official. comment: This happened even though Democrats blame the National Rifle Association for the Parkland murders in order to shift the spotlight from the corrupt and incompetent Deep State/FBI.

TIME reports: After Omar Mateen shot and killed 49 people at the nightclub Pulse in Orlando in June 2016, the FBI said it had investigated him twice before on terrorism suspicions, but shut the inquiries for lack of evidence. The year before, after Dylann Roof shot to death nine African-American parishioners at a South Carolina church, the FBI acknowledged that lapses in its gun background-check system allowed him to illegally buy the .45-caliber handgun he used in the massacre.

And in 2011, the FBI received a tip from Russian intelligence that one of the Boston Marathon bombers had become radicalized and was planning an overseas trip to join radical Islamic groups. The FBI in Boston investigated him but found no “nexus” to terrorism. comment: Yes, that’s the “new” FBI doing its job badly. Let’s bring back the good old days.

TIME reports: A related case in Oregon, growing out of the 2016 takeover of a wildlife refuge by Bundy’s sons and their followers, has not gone well for the FBI either. An agent at the scene, W. Joseph Astarita, is now charged with five criminal counts after prosecutors say he falsely denied shooting twice at an occupation leader who was fatally shot by police, who said he appeared to be reaching for his handgun during a roadside encounter. The Bundy sons and five supporters who helped in the takeover were found not guilty of conspiracy and weapons charges, in another jarring setback for the government. comment: So we have the FBI not only failing to act on bad people like killers and terrorists, but acting aggressively against innocuous people like the Bundys who are conservatives. This is precisely what the liberals want. Forget law and order. Their goal is to oppress conservatives instead as the greatest threat to America.

TIME reports: Moreover, TIME’s analysis shows a surprisingly low rate of success for the thousands of cases the FBI investigates and sends to the Justice Department for possible prosecution. Over that same time period, the Justice Department has ultimately won convictions in fewer than half the cases the FBI referred for prosecution, with a conviction rate of 47% last year, the data showed. That fell well below the average of 72% for all agencies. Prosecutors themselves have rejected many of the FBI’s referrals before they ever got to court. The bureau’s low success rate in these cases has remained largely unchanged in recent years. comment: FBI’s low success rate is the long-term product of the Church Committee.
