GOP Loves Strong Women/ Trump Plays Offense Against his Enemies

Congratulations to Gina Haspel who is the new CIA director, the first woman to head the agency. She is one tough cookie. Her biography on Wikipedia is here.

Liberals love to say that Republicans and conservatives hate women and want to hold women down, but that is the opposite of the truth.

First we conservative love women first and foremost in their most sacred duties as mothers. But we also support them in their other endeavors.

The first woman to serve in both the US House and US Senate was Republican Margaret Chase Smith of Maine (she won her first Senate election with 71% of the vote). Smith also was the first woman to have her name put into nomination for president by a major political party, in 1964.

The first woman to hold federal office in America, in the US House of Representatives, was Republican Jeanette Rankin of Montana. The first woman to serve as British prime minister was “The Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher, a staunch conservative. The first woman chancellor of Germany is Angela Merkel, a moderate conservative. And it was the Republican party that first supported women’s suffrage in the US. believes that the first woman president of the United States will be a Republican/conservative, perhaps someone like Laura Ingraham of Fox News or Florida attorney general Pam Bondi. Or Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin. Or other figures coming up through the ranks like US senator Joni Ernst of Iowa.

Now here is today’s main commentary:

Trump Goes on Offense against his Enemies

We have never seen a political assault on a president like the one being waged against president Trump by the Deep State, the Fake News media and the Democrats. Fortunately Trump is fighting back, unlike most Republicans who run and hide.

There is a major story from Autumn 2017 that was ignored by the Fake News media since it involved one of their Democrat cronies. Fox News reports:

Tony Podesta, the older brother of Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and co-founder of the onetime lobbying powerhouse the Podesta Group, was thrust back into the political spotlight after President Donald Trump pointedly questioned why he had not been “charged and arrested.”

Trump tweeted:

….and why hasn’t the Podesta brother been charged and arrested, like others, after being forced to close down his very large and successful firm? Is it because he is a VERY well connected Democrat working in the Swamp of Washington, D.C.?

Fox News continues:

… In October, reports emerged that (special counsel Robert) Mueller was investigating the Podesta Group over its lobbying work on behalf of a nonprofit group called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU). According to the special counsel’s indictment of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and associate Rick Gates, the Brussels-based ECMU functioned as a “mouthpiece” for Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine’s pro-Russian president between 2010 and 2014.

The indictment went on to allege that Manafort and Gates enlisted the Podesta Group and one other firm to lobby on behalf of the ECMU — the “nominal client,” in the words of the indictment — so that Manafort and Gates could continue their work on Yanukovych’s behalf without making the required legal disclosures to the Justice Department.

Thus Trump is hitting back hard against the special counsel for never pursuing Tony Podesta which is something that has noticed since last Autumn. This is how president Trump is boldly fighting against the Deep State Swamp Dwellers who have been seeking to take him down.

But it is the Swamp Dwellers themselves who are falling left and right including James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Bruce Ohr, Tony Podesta (he closed his elite lobbying firm immediately after the Manafort indictment), Lisa Page, Jim Baker and others. The list will get much longer. Fox news continues:

… Tony Podesta’s name is not mentioned in the indictments of Manafort and Gates and it is not clear what, if anything, he knew about their work for the ECMU and Yanukovych. However, former Podesta Group staffers told ABC News they were skeptical about their prospective client.

“There was a lot of suspicion that (Yanukovych) was a front for bad stuff,” one ex-staffer said. Another said workers were concerned Podesta was bringing in “clients you wouldn’t want to touch with a 100-foot pole.”

The Podesta brothers and the Clintons are like peas in a pod. So why hasn’t Podesta been arrested and charged for colluding with Ukraine, and indirectly, with Russia?

Well, we could ask the same about Hillary’s emails or about the Clinton Foundation. Or about former attorney general Loretta Lynch over her secret “tarmac meeting” with Bill Clinton. Or about the Clintons and Uranium One.

But we need not ask. We know that these liberal wrongdoers have had a multi-layered bureaucracy covering for them for decades. And now that that bureaucracy is being stripped away the Deep Staters are in panic and in a frenzy to get rid of president Trump.

But things are getting darker for the anti-Trumpers. Even pro-Clinton operative Mark Penn wrote on The Hill website:

The “deep state” is in a deep state of desperation. With little time left before the Justice Department inspector general’s report becomes public, and with special counsel Robert Mueller having failed to bring down Donald Trump after a year of trying, they know a reckoning is coming.

At this point, there is little doubt that the highest echelons of the FBI and the Justice Department broke their own rules to end the Hillary Clinton “matter,” but we can expect the inspector general to document what was done or, more pointedly, not done. It is hard to see how a year-long investigation of this won’t come down hard on former FBI Director James Comey and perhaps even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who definitely wasn’t playing mahjong in a secret “no aides allowed” meeting with former President Clinton on a Phoenix airport tarmac.

With this report on the way and congressional investigators beginning to zero in on the lack of hard, verified evidence for starting the Trump probe, current and former intelligence and Justice Department officials are dumping everything they can think of to save their reputations.

But it is backfiring. They started by telling the story of Alexander Downer, an Australian diplomat, as having remembered a bar conversation with George Papadopoulos, a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign. But how did the FBI know they should talk to him? That’s left out of their narrative. Downer’s signature appears on a $25 million contribution to the Clinton Foundation. You don’t need much imagination to figure that he was close with Clinton Foundation operatives who relayed information to the State Department, which then called the FBI to complete the loop. This wasn’t intelligence. It was likely opposition research from the start.

Notice… ‘backfiring’, which has said many times. And this is spreading. Most Democrats now are avoiding this impeachment nonsense as they watch Mueller flail away for week after week with no results as the investigation boomerangs.

Trump even took on Obama-era CIA director John Brennan who hates Trump and is leading a charge against him in a campaign unprecedented in American history by such a powerful emeritus federal official. Trump tweeted:

John Brennan is panicking. He has disgraced himself, he has disgraced the Country, he has disgraced the entire Intelligence Community. He is the one man who is largely responsible for the destruction of American’s faith in the Intelligence Community and in some people at the…… of the FBI

Brennan started this entire debacle about President Trump. We now know that Brennan had detailed knowledge of the (phony) Dossier…he knows about the Dossier, he denies knowledge of the Dossier, he briefs the Gang of 8 on the Hill about the Dossier, which…….they then used to start an investigation about Trump

Wow. Trump has total courage and confidence. That is the only way to win. An army never wins if it does not have faith in itself. Fox News adds:

The Justice Department asked its watchdog to look into any alleged “impropriety or political motivation” in the FBI’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, the DOJ said Sunday night — hours after President Trump ordered a review looking into whether federal agents infiltrated or surveilled his campaign for political purposes.

“I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes — and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!” the president tweeted.

Kaboom. predicts that this is going right up to Obama, like Watergate but 1,000 times bigger. Fox News continues:

“The Department has asked the Inspector General to expand the ongoing review of the (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) application process to include determining whether there was any impropriety or political motivation in how the FBI conducted its counterintelligence investigation of persons suspected of involvement with the Russian agents who interfered in the 2016 presidential election. As always, the Inspector General will consult with the appropriate U.S. Attorney if there is any evidence of potential criminal conduct,” DOJ spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores told Fox News.

She also released a response from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein: “If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action.”

Trump, late last week, began accusing the Justice Department of trying to frame him by planting a spy in his campaign…

It doesn’t get any better than this for us pro-Trumpers. The president even used the word “frame”. Great. This is very powerful stuff that the Deep State never, ever expected. They expected to take down Trump in 2017.

Meanwhile Hillary Clinton continues to go off the deep end, proving once again why she never deserved to be elected president. Fox News reports:

… in her address to graduating Yale students at Sunday’s Class Day… Clinton alternately cracked jokes about her loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election and warned Yale’s Class of 2018 that “we are living through a full-fledged crisis in our democracy.”

“There are certain things that are so essential they should transcend politics,” said Clinton, who never mentioned Trump by name during her address. “Waging a war on the rule of law and a free press, de-legitimizing elections, perpetrating shameless corruption, and rejecting the idea that our leaders should be public servants undermines our national unity.”

Clinton admitted that she still thinks about her defeat by Trump: “No, I’m not over it. I still think about the 2016 election. I still regret the mistakes I made. I still think, though, that understanding what happened in such a weird and wild election in American history will help us defend our democracy in the future.”

“Today, as a person, I’m OK,” Clinton added. “But as an American, I’m concerned.”

Oh, sure, one of the most corrupt and divisive politicians in American history and she is concerned about the rule of law and national unity. What a phony. Her time is coming… You just watch.
