First, here is a quick word from a Nikitas3.com commentary of April 2017 about the election of president Trump. You will find the numbers fascinating:
President Trump got 62.98 million votes in the 2016 election. Hillary Clinton got 65.85 million. So Hillary won the popular vote, right?
Not so fast. Here is a new way to think about it:
The 2016 Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson was a former Republican governor of New Mexico. He got 4.49 million votes. His running mate was William Weld, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts.
Most Libertarians are conservative, anti-government types so they probably would have voted for Trump if there were no Libertarian candidate. This would have given Trump 67.47 million votes. Throw in another 935,000 votes for two other relatively conservative candidates (Evan McMullin and Darrell Castle) and Trump would have gotten 68.41 million votes.
Meanwhile the far-left candidate Jill Stein of the Green party got 1.46 million votes. Stein’s votes probably would have all gone to Hillary Clinton if Stein did not run. Thus if you take Hillary’s vote plus Stein’s vote then Hillary would have gotten 67.31 million.
Thus Trump not only won the electoral votes in a landslide (by 77 electoral votes, or 57% to 43% for Hillary), but the conservative way of thinking really won even the popular vote by 1.1 million votes.
Then consider that Hillary probably got 3 million to 5 million votes through fraud, and you have an even greater Trump win. There is increasing evidence today of the fraud that we conservatives have talked about for years. It is now being incrementally exposed.
This proves that the country is not backsliding toward the Democrats. Hillary could not even win the White House after 25 years of fawning coverage in every media format, on top of 17 months of relentless trashing of Trump. This says a lot about the Democrats and also about Hillary’s horrible campaign.
Meanwhile the renowned election prognosticator Larry Sabato predicted that Hillary would win by 105 electoral votes. On the other hand Nikitas3.com predicted consistently throughout 2016 that Trump would win the White House. So why am I not on TV like Sabato is regularly?
Now here is today’s main commentary:
President Trump’s Secret Weapon is His Unique Persona
Donald Trump is unlike any president that America has ever had before. His persona makes him different. He did not come up through the political ranks. He came up through business and in the media, which are separate worlds where the rules are totally different from politics.
So imagine that you are a chubby dictator from a ruthlessly oppressed, poverty-stricken Asian regime like North Korea, who has spent his life in a grey land where there is hardly even electricity for most of the people outside of the nation’s capital. Your subjects are starving by the millions.
Then you meet this bigger-than-life American billionaire with a flair for the theatrical. You did not know what to think of Trump and then you find out upon meeting him that he is a real human being who seems to be bargaining in good faith.
Nikitas3.com guesses that Kim Jong Un was probably somewhat starstruck and probably liked Trump personally. Because the dictator saw a bold, brash figure in Trump, a debonair, colorful man whom the whole world is focused on as opposed to Kim who is a short, fat, genocidal tyrant living in a “hermit kingdom” that has a horrible reputation around the world.
Trump even produced a flashy video for Kim showing what North Korea could look like if it offered freedom to its people and became prosperous like South Korea or Singapore. This was brilliant, and typical Trump.
This was brilliant, friends, brilliant. And it is only the unique persona of US president Donald Trump that allowed this all to happen, starting with de-nuclearization talks.
This is the same Donald Trump who forced Obama to show us his birth certificate. The same Trump who grew stronger and stronger throughout 2016 with his unorthodox style that gripped the American electorate. This was the same Donald Trump who rallied up to 10,000 people at a time in key electoral states like Wisconsin and Michigan and defeated the most seasoned political machine in modern US history in his first shot at the presidency.
This is the same Donald Trump who was supposed to have been run out of office by a relentless Democrat/media assault on his character but who is still standing as his critics fall by the wayside.
And this is the same Donald Trump who has fought back every minute of every day against his adversaries, which Republican presidents have never done before. He knows that the media and the political classes did not create him and therefore that they cannot destroy him.
This is a unique individual. Trump is very, very smart; don’t ever let the media convince you otherwise. There is no other Donald Trump in this world, never has been, never will be. We compare his political achievements to those of Ronald Reagan but Reagan was nowhere near the distinctive individual that Trump is (although Reagan unquestionably was a great man and legendary president).
After all, Trump has a fortune estimated at $5 billion or more. What other US president has had such self-made wealth?
None, and what frightens Democrats most is that Trump has more than two-and-a-half years left in his first presidential term and will probably be re-elected to a second term in 2020. His offbeat persona and style already have driven the Democrats and their media cronies – and many Republicans – into a tizzy that they cannot shake.
That this outrageous, funny, combative, unpredictable man could win the White House and re-shape America to his will in such a short period is completely unprecedented in history.
Interestingly president Trump got Kim Jong Un to the bargaining table by being nasty and by threatening to “totally destroy North Korea”. What other American leader has ever said such a thing?
None. Never. It is said that Kim Jong Un was so rattled by Trump’s threat that he asked political experts what to think about the threat, whether Trump was a madman.
Yet now the tables have turned with Trump being totally agreeable and cordial in his meetings with Kim. This is a fascinating aspect of Trump’s character, that he could turn this situation around 180 degrees in just a few months. But then again, that is what Trump learned as a negotiator in business: Start tough but be willing to compromise if the deal turns your way.
Now compare Trump to Hillary Clinton. There is no comparison. Hillary is a fabricated, lackluster politician in the worst sense of the word. She thought that she was “owed” the presidency. She lived her whole life to be The First Woman President. But as the old saying goes, those who want things too badly are often disappointed… even when they get them.
Trump defines the word ‘confidence’. This is what frightens Democrats most. Democrats are by nature insecure; this is what binds them as a group. No Democrat or media skunk has anywhere near the self-control and confidence that Trump has. It is a human characteristic that people have envied in others since the beginning of time.
Now compare Trump to a weak, insecure Obama. The New York Times reports:
Riding in a motorcade in Lima, Peru, shortly after the 2016 election, President Barack Obama was struggling to understand Donald J. Trump’s victory.
“What if we were wrong?” he asked aides riding with him in the armored presidential limousine.
He had read a column asserting that liberals had forgotten how important identity was to people and had promoted an empty cosmopolitan globalism that made many feel left behind. “Maybe we pushed too far,” Mr. Obama said. “Maybe people just want to fall back into their tribe.”
His aides reassured him that he still would have won had he been able to run for another term and that the next generation had more in common with him than with Mr. Trump. Mr. Obama, the first black man elected president, did not seem convinced. “Sometimes I wonder whether I was 10 or 20 years too early,” he said.
You would never hear that from Trump. Obama certainly must be re-thinking all that he did as president and said about candidate Trump, for instance that Trump could never bring back manufacturing jobs that he now is bringing back by the millions by the force of his personality. Because president Donald Trump is a man who has broken the mold in every way possible and who knows how to get things done. In his private thinking Obama must be in awe of Trump.
Compare Trump to Republicans like John McCain, who is a boring, unprincipled opportunist with no personality to speak of. Compare Trump to George W. Bush, who is a dull, rehearsed technocrat who threw away his presidency on the Iraq War. Compare Trump to stiff, feckless Mitt Romney who could have been elected president in 2012 if he had had a spine like Trump does.
Trump simply excited America like no other president before and that is why he is the leader of the free world. Donald Trump is the star actor on the stage who has the audience in his hand, whether they like him or hate him, the way other actors only wish they could. He is “a natural”. He always draws a crowd.
His sense of humor can have traumatizing effects on the media. When he joked that perhaps the Russians could find Hillary’s 33,000 deleted emails, the media went koo-koo as if he were seeking to get the Russians involved in our national security.
Look at this from The Daily Caller if you want to see how unique Trump is:
President Donald Trump attacked Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and The “Fake News” Washington Post in a Sunday morning tweet.
Trump asserted that Washington Post employees “want to go on strike because [Jeff] Bezos isn’t paying them enough,” and suggested it would be a “great idea” because it would put the paper out of business for a period of time.
“I think a really long strike would be a great idea,” Trump wrote. “Employees would get more money and we would get rid of Fake News for an extended period of time!”
“Is (the Washington Post) a registered lobbyist?” he added.
What other president has ever taken on the Fake News media like this?
None. Never. Not one.
The Democrats and media are utterly and irrevocably fixated on Donald Trump. They cannot stop thinking about him. They cannot stop fantasizing about eliminating him. They cannot get him out of their heads.
This, friends, is why president Donald Trump does not have to play the usual political games. He has made up a new game that is totally changing American politics forever.
Donald Trump has shown us that we need not elect a politician who came up through the ranks in Washington. He has shown us that we can elect a unique human being, one who is willing to lead us in a bright new direction by the sheer force of his personality. Trump is amazing. Period. End of story.
Now here is a final word from The Washington Examiner about a very interesting poll:
Republican voters are demanding that President Trump run for re-election in 2020, the latest evidence that support among his backers is stronger than it was for nearly every recent president.
According to the latest Economist/YouGov poll, 68 percent of Republicans want Trump to run for re-election.
And Democratic pollster John Zogby said this week that only former President George W. Bush was more popular than Trump among his base going into his first mid-term election, and he had just launched a war against America’s 9/11 attackers.
Discussing U.S. politics with foreign reporters Zogby, whose poll is considered highly reliable, said about president Trump:
His approval ratings within his own party are high. If you look today, 87 percent of Republicans give him a positive approval rating. What’s that mean? At this point in his presidency, Barack Obama had a 79 percent rating among Democrats. The only president at this point in time in the presidency to outscore Donald Trump was George W. Bush at 95 percent, and of course, by this point in time, we had launched the war in Iraq. Ronald Reagan wasn’t this high. Jack Kennedy wasn’t this high. The GOP is the party of Trump.
