Prediction: Black Conservative John James Will Win Michigan US Senate Seat

Looking at the political map the US Senate looks very good for Republicans this November. There are 10 Democrat US senators up for re-election in states that Trump won in 2016. They all should be considered endangered.

Michigan has been strongly Democrat for many decades. It was the birthplace of the United Auto Workers in 1936 and was dominated by the unions and the Democrat party for many, many years.

But the unions ultimately destroyed Michigan with intimidation, violence, outrageous wage demands and strikes. They killed the goose that was laying the golden eggs. Union leader Jimmy Hoffa famously disappeared from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Hills in 1975 and has never been seen since.

Ten years ago Michigan was called “the sick man of America”. It had suffered with decades of population stagnation and loss. Today Michigan is on a major economic rebound. It is ranked the 7th best state to do business in by a recent CNBC study. Michigan is now “cool”.

This happened because Michigan elected a tough, can-do Republican governor named Rick Snyder in 2010 and re-elected him in 2014. Snyder pushed through major reforms that not only have revitalized the state’s economy but that are even bringing back the “lost city” of Detroit too.

Michigan’s current Democrat US senator is three-term Debbie Stabenow, an old-line hack politician who supported the Obama agenda. believes that Stabenow’s Republican opponent in the November election, a conservative African-American Iraq combat veteran named John James, will unseat Stabenow. James is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and pro-business. James just won his primary election on August 7 against an Establishment Republican candidate.

James graduated from West Point in 2004 and became a Ranger-qualified aviation officer. He went on to serve with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom where he earned a Combat Action Badge and two Air Medals, among other awards, while logging 753 flight hours in the theater leading two Apache platoons.

After serving in Iraq, he returned to Michigan and joined his father’s business, James Group International. As president of the business he increased its annual revenue from $35 million to $137 million.

James also earned a Master of Supply Chain Management and Information Systems from Penn State and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

James is married and has two children. He is a member of Brightmoor Christian Church in Novi, Michigan.

What did Stabenow accomplish in her life of 68 years?

She got a Masters of Social Work at Michigan State in 1975 and immediately started running for office and has hardly been out of office since.

Look at Michigan today if you want to understand this race. After decades in which the state withered economically, Michiganders became disgusted and disillusioned. They took a chance on Rick Snyder in 2010. And Snyder produced.

They now see president Trump producing economically for the nation. John James fits this pattern. He has actually produced jobs as a businessman.

James recently did an interview on the Sean Hannity radio show and he is absolutely on fire – positive, optimistic, expressive, bold. His enthusiasm is infectious. You can see him in this interview video from Fox News.

He says things like, “Debbie Stabenow cares more about resistance than results”. This is classic and effective political sloganeering. believes the James will go after Stabenow fearlessly and that he will win the election not only on substance, but on his personal style. He is aggressive and fesity but not mean. He smiles. He comes across as a really nice guy. This is going to get him a lot of votes, rest assured.

Stabenow, on the hand, is an old, pale political dishrag. believes that the voters of Michigan will see the difference starkly, particularly when James and Stabenow debate one on one.

Are conservative and Republican Michiganders, who are largely white, ready to vote for an African-American candidate?

You bet they are. They know the difference between the past and the future. They don’t care about skin color. They care about results. And they just picked John James in the primary. So that blows up the leftist meme that conservatives all are racists.

Who is rallying voters for John James?

The white rock music legend Kid Rock is doing so. Kid Rock might as well be called Mr. Michigan. He was born there and is a huge and famous Michigan booster. Kid Rock was even suggested as a possible Senate candidate himself, although warned against it.

Kid Rock will rouse whites in general, and particularly younger white voters for John James. This will be an important demographic for James to get into his camp.

James also will benefit from vastly higher job approval ratings for president Trump among blacks who normally would shy away from a black Republican.

James will be seen as part of the rising Michigan economy. Stabenow will be seen as part of the worn-out past.

President Trump will certainly make at least one campaign appearance for James and will excite voters at one of his magical rallies. Vice president Mike Pence, former governor of next-door Indiana, also will do so. also believes that conservative white Michigan rock legend Ted Nugent will work to elect James.

On the other hand Stabenow may rely on Hollywood actors and depressing, negative Michiganders like Michael Moore for support. That will look bad next to a much younger and optimistic James who also will certainly be supported by Snyder.

“It’s not a black message or a white message, but a red, white and blue message” said James recently. He said he would speak for rural whites and urban blacks who are considered “disposable” by the Democrats. He also plans to focus on veterans’ issues.

This type of message is going to ricochet around Michigan and reverberate with millions of voters, both black and white and everything in between.

With the success of Rick Snyder to build on believes that John James will win in November. Then watch for this rising star in Washington. He is very possibly a future Republican president of the United States. He’s got it all.
