The shameful behavior of Democrat US senators and their heckler accomplices in the Senate gallery at the opening of hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh reinforces a point that we well understand, particularly since president Trump was elected – liberals, leftists and Democrats have destroyed and buried all sense of political decorum, civility and decency.
They want to turn America into Venezuela.
The interrupting started at the first opening statement of Judiciary Committee chairman Republican US senator Charles Grassley of Iowa.
Democrat US senator Kamala Harris of California, who is a radical who has shown contempt for Senate rules before in her arrogant behavior, immediately began interrupting Grassley and called for the hearing to be delayed over information about judge Kavanaugh which Democrats do not think was delivered expeditiously enough.
Democrat US senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut chimed in, interrupting Grassley repeatedly and calling for the hearing to be adjourned.
This is like angry behavior at a city council meeting. This is such a shocking breach of Senate decorum that all interrupting senators should be excluded from the hearings. Meanwhile hecklers in the audience repeatedly interrupted the proceedings in an obviously coordinated effort to disrupt.
Did we ever see anything like this kind of behavior from Republicans when Obama was president?
No, we did not. Never. But then again the liberal agenda intentionally targets crazy, reactionary and emotional people who cannot restrain themselves, even at the highest levels of our Constitutional republic. Fox News reports:
Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing turned into a political spectacle within moments of Tuesday’s kickoff, as top Democrats tried to overtake the session with a rapid-fire string of objections and protesters shouted and screamed from the audience.
The chaos led Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas to remark, “This is the first confirmation hearing subject to mob rule.”
More than an hour and 15 minutes after the hearing began, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, moved past Democratic attempts to delay and delivered his opening statement, over the sustained shouts of protesters who were being escorted out of the room.
“Judge Kavanaugh is one of the most qualified nominees – if not the most qualified nominee – I have seen,” Grassley said.
The disruptions continued as lawmakers attempted to make opening statements. Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch struggled to deliver his prepared remarks, as protesters audibly shouted over him.
“I think we ought to have this loudmouth removed,” a frustrated Hatch said. “We shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of stuff.”
Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin defended the outbursts.
“What we’ve heard is the noise of democracy,” Durbin said. “This is what happens in a free country when people can stand up and speak and not be jailed, imprisoned, tortured or killed because of it.”
This shows how craven these Democrats have become. This is not “the noise of democracy”. This is the noise of mob rule, like senator Cornyn said. And it was all planned out ahead of time by top Democrat US senators including none other than Durbin himself.
This is nothing new. Here is what US senator Ted Kennedy said about Reagan Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork in 1987:
Robert Bork’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the Government, and the doors of the Federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens
Judge Bork was defeated. This statement is shocking and far outside the bounds of civility.
Update: Radical muslim activist Linda Sarsour was arrested for interrupting the hearings. This is what muslims want to bring to America from their poor, backward and lawless nations. Breitbart News reported:
The hearing had already been disrupted several times by protesters — led by the anti-Trump and Democrat-aligned Women’s March, which claimed credit — and several senators also interrupted proceedings with interjections.
Sen. (Thom Tillis, Republican of North Carolina) asked: “I’m reviewing a tweet by NBC that said ‘Democrats plotted coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing, sources tell me.’ And, subsequent, ‘Dem leader Chuck Schumer led a phone call, and committee members are executing now.’ So, I just want to be clear: none of the members on this committee participated in that phone call or that strategy before the documents were released yesterday? Are you suggesting that this allegation is false?”
Durbin asked to respond, but merely deflected to the issue of whether the committee had been provided enough documents on Kavanaugh: “Mr. Chairman, there was a phone conference yesterday, and I can tell you, at the time of the phone conference, many issues were raised. One of the issues was the fact that over 100,000 documents related to Judge Kavanaugh had been characterized by the chairman of the committee as committee confidential.”
Notably, Durbin did not dispute the allegations by NBC News.

BS News’ Nancy Cordes reports that a source familiar with the discussions confirms that Sen. Schumer held a conference call with Judiciary Committee democrats over the Labor Day weekend to discuss the strategy they are now deploying in a coordinated manner, interrupting the start of the hearing to call – one after the other – for a delay in the proceedings until senators get all the Kavanaugh documents they want and have time to read them.
The hearing eventually settled into opening statements, though protests continued.
Friends, this is the kind of mob rule that comes when Americans turn on Democrats and elect a leader like president Trump. It is not only shameful but could be considered illegal. Senator Cornyn suggested that his Democratic colleagues’ behavior at the start of the hearing would render them held “in contempt of court” in a regular court proceeding.
Good. It is time to bring the hammer down.
This whole interruption strategy was cooked up by senator Durbin, the same weasel who once claimed that president Trump had referred to certain poor nations as “shithole countries” even though that was never proven and was denied by others at the meeting in question.
Durbin was also involved in another controversy in 2013 when Politico reported:
“In a ‘negotiation’ meeting with the president, one GOP House Leader told [President Barack Obama]: ‘I cannot even stand to look at you,’” Durbin wrote in a post on his Facebook page over the weekend.
However, both the White House and the House speaker’s office denied Durbin’s account of events.
Asked about the post in the White House daily briefing, press secretary Jay Carney said he checked with a participant of the meeting in question.
“I looked into this and spoke with somebody who was in that meeting and it did not happen,” Carney said.
So this is the type of extremist and liar who now sits at the top of the Democrat party in America. Thus its uncivil tactics are no surprise. By the way, Durbin comes out of the corrupt Democrat party in the corrupt state of Illinois. No surprise there.
And of course what would such a circus be without an appearance by ‘Pocahontas’. The Daily Caller reports:
Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she was glad a group of protesters gathered inside the Hart Senate office building during the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee John Kavanaugh Tuesday, saying she thinks they should stay.
During the hearing, around 100 protesters risked arrest by gathering in the lobby of the Senate building where the hearing was taking place. Nearly 20 protesters inside the hearing were removed and arrested just 30 minutes after the hearing began.
When asked by The Daily Caller News Foundation if she supported the protesters actions, Warren responded by saying, “I’m glad they’re here, they are exercising their free speech.” When asked if she believed the protesters should continue to occupy the Senate building and interrupt the hearing, Warren told TheDCNF, “You bet.”
No, senator it is not ‘free speech’. These protesters are seeking to abridge the Senate’s free speech. And you would never know the difference. After all, you taught at Harvard.
All gallery members should be barred from these proceedings, along with senators who interrupted.
