Let’s face it people who hate Donald Trump from Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama to Kathy Griffin to Harvey Weinstein seem to be having a really hard time these days.
Many people who have popped off against the president on the internet or in the media have found themselves in trouble like the plummeting viewership for the National Football League which Trump has criticized over the National Anthem kneelers.
Have you noticed that the kneeling controversy has largely disappeared in yet another win for the president?
The latest victim of the Trump Curse is Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren, the Democrat US senator from Massachusetts who once had claimed to have Native American ancestry in order to be hired as a college professor under affirmative action.
Warren became an object of derision for the claim first in her home state of Massachusetts when she ran for election in 2012 and then on the national stage as president Trump ruthlessly ridiculed her as Pocahontas, the legendary young Algonquin Indian squaw from the Tidewater region of Virginia. Pocahontas converted to Christianity and married white settler John Rolfe in 1614. She died on a trip to London at age 20 or 21.
Elizabeth Warren has stepped even deeper into the political mire with a DNA test showing her to possibly be somewhere from 1/64 to 1/1024 Native American blood, or even less than tens of millions of other Americans. The Boston Globe reported:
Senator Elizabeth Warren has released a DNA test that provides “strong evidence’’ she had a Native American in her family tree dating back 6 to 10 generations, an unprecedented move by one of the top possible contenders for the 2020 Democratic nomination for president.
Warren, whose claims to Native American blood have been mocked by President Trump and other Republicans, provided the test results to the Globe on Sunday in an effort to defuse questions about her ancestry that have persisted for years.
The analysis of Warren’s DNA … concluded that “the vast majority” of Warren’s ancestry is European, but (researcher Carlos Bustamante) added that “the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor.”
Bustamante calculated that Warren’s pure Native American ancestor appears in her family tree “in the range of 6-10 generations ago.” That timing fits Warren’s family lore, passed down during her Oklahoma upbringing, that her great-great-great-grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith, was at least partially Native American.
Oh, so six to ten generations ago, or 1/64 to 1/1024 Native. But it gets worse. Breitbart News reported:
Buried deep within the Globe story, however, is the admission that the Stanford University researcher who studied her DNA sample did not actually use samples of Native American DNA to determine whether Warren’s dubious claims of Cherokee ancestry were true.
Thus Warren has created even more controversy and ridicule for herself with the DNA test particularly since she released the results during the crucial campaign season when the story is drawing attention away from Democrats who are seeking to get elected or re-elected. Fellow Democrats are furious with her, and this will harm her in the future in her own party.
(Note: Nikitas3.com is working for the campaign of Republican Geoff Diehl who is challenging Warren for her US Senate seat this year.)
It gets even worse. Native American tribes demand that a descendant be at least 1/16 Native in order to claim Native status, and that the descendant be able to name his or her ancestor. But Warren cannot do that.
The nationwide mockery of Warren over this DNA test has been loud and clear even among some Fake News media skunks who should be pre-disposed to defending her as a Democrat.
Nikitas3.com believes that Warren has eliminated herself from 2020 presidential contention, first with her claim and then with the DNA test. She would not only be mercilessly shredded by president Trump in a general election but she would face the same in the Democrat primaries where fellow Democrats would attack her just as boldly.
Trump derided Warren over the DNA test saying “I hope she’s running for president, because I think she’ll be very easy” (to defeat).
Even Native American groups have piled on. KJRH in Tulsa, Oklahoma reported about the Cherokee Nation, from which Warren has claimed her ancestry:
The Cherokee Nation issued a statement Monday on Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test results.
Sen. Warren released her DNA report in response to President Donald Trump taunting her for her saying she was part Native American.
Sen. Warren released her ancestry report and it stated that “the great majority of (Warren’s) identifiable ancestry is European.” However, the report adds, “The analysis also identified 5 genetic segments as Native American in origin at high confidence.”
This afternoon the Cherokee Nation released a statement that said in part that DNA tests are useless in determining tribal citizenship and people using DNA to connect themselves to Cherokee Nation is inappropriate.
Here is the full Cherokee statement:
“A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is prove. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”
– Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin, Jr.
Warren then went on a Twitter rant further confirming her desperation. She tweeted (and these are just some of the tweets):
“If @realDonaldTrump – a cowardly elitist who has never known or cared what life is like for anyone who’s ever lived outside of a skyscraper in Manhattan – wants to talk about authenticity, well then, let’s talk about who’s REALLY pretending to be someone they’re not.”
“the most corrupt President in American history”
“Oh, and one more thing. @realDonaldTrump likes to pretend he’s a real tough guy. But like most bullies, he sure scares easy, doesn’t he?”
“He’s afraid to stand up to Vladimir Putin in defense of our country, afraid to talk to Robert Mueller because he knows he’ll crack under the pressure, and so afraid to go out in public, he hides out at his own golf clubs.”
“And you know what scares him the most? Us. The American people. He’s afraid we’ll see him for who he really is and expose the con he’s been running on our country from Day One.”
“And @realDonaldTrump should be scared – because on November 6, we’re going to bust up that con once and for all.”
Can it get any worse for Warren? Yes. Jim Hoft reports on The Gateway Pundit:
As I pointed out in my article here on Sunday, no evidence supports this claim. O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford had no Cherokee heritage, was listed as “white” in the Census of 1860, and was most likely half Swedish and half English, Scottish, or German, or some combination thereof. (Note, the actual 1894 marriage license makes no claim of Cherokee ancestry.)
But the most stunning discovery about the life of O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford is that her husband, Ms. Warren’s great-great-great grandfather, was apparently a member of the Tennessee Militia who rounded up Cherokees from their family homes in the Southeastern United States and herded them into government-built stockades in what was then called Ross’s Landing (now Chattanooga), Tennessee–the point of origin for the horrific Trail of Tears, which began in January, 1837. […]
These were the troops responsible for removing Cherokee families from homes they had lived in for generations in the three states that the Cherokee Nations had considered their homelands for centuries: Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
What an embarrassment. Warren is done in national politics. Finished…
Here is today’s second commentary:
Establishment Crumbles Under Trump
If you want to know why the Washington Establishment hates president Trump just look at what he is really doing.
He simply is re-making the world in a totally new mold and throwing out the old worn Establishment dogma that has prevailed for decades. Here are some examples:
*The economy: This is the big issue. Over decades of Establishment statis, mountains of regulation, taxes, government control and environmental rules have stifled the American economy. Labor unions, allied with the government and the Democrat party helped to kill or thwart the creation of tens of millions of good jobs.
President Trump shunted all of this aside with swift and positive results. It is amazing how quickly the economy has picked up. The stock market and Nasdaq hit a new high on the same day that president Trump announced his new trade deal with Mexico. This is no surprise.
Help Wanted signs are everywhere across America. Companies cannot find enough workers. This comes after decades in which workers found a shrinking number of jobs available.
President Trump is creating an economy in which increasing numbers of Americans will no longer be dependent on government. This is anathema to the Washington Establishment that wants to control Americans through government handouts.
*Immigration: Both political parties have left the Mexican border open and also allowed millions of temporary visa holders to stay in this country illegally without challenge. Conservatives and president Trump are now demanding action.
Trump is expelling thousands of criminal illegals from the country and has toughened border enforcement.
Democrats want illegals as future voters and Republicans want them as cheap labor.
Conservatives support the best of both worlds – we want good American citizens from other lands who are willing to work hard, but we want them legally.
The Wall on the Mexican border is being built. Already $147 million has been spent and another $1.5 billion is in the bank, ready to be spent. More funding is being promised after the mid-term elections. Slowly but surely The Wall is going up. This is something that the Establishment never thought possible. Until Trump, that is.
*World peace: President Trump may end up negotiating deals for peace in the Middle East and with North Korea and with other nations. We could write a book about this. Previous presidents have failed at all of them.
This comes after the Trump haters said he would start a new world war. The opposite has happened. This makes the Washington Establishment look bad, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Obama and Bush who could never do what Trump is doing. No wonder they hate him.
*The Supreme Court and other federal courts: President Trump is moving swiftly to fill as many federal court appointments with real conservatives. This will help to undo decades of liberal activism in the courts, moving the political focus out of the courts and back to the ballot box where it belongs.
Meanwhile the media war on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh failed. America saw that it was a sham. The High Court will slant to the conservative side for decades to come with Kavanaugh. Hopefully we will get another conservative when liberal justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies or retires due to bad health. She is very old and frail.
*US military: Under Obama the military suffered big funding losses. President Trump has obtained a big funding increase for the military and is an outspoken supporter of our armed forces.
For years Obama stood by while ISIS overran Iraq and Syria with one of the most vicious campaigns in history.
President Trump used relentless air attacks with precision bombs to wipe out ISIS, killing tens of thousands of fighters and sending the rest home.
In short, president Trump is using our military assets wisely and sparingly.
*NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a group of nations, largely in Europe, bonded to the US with the goal of a unified response if any one member is attacked. It was formed after World War II to protect Europe from Soviet communism.
Yet the United States itself is the least likely to be attacked but for decades it has contributed the lion’s share of money and military might to NATO.
And while US presidents for decades have let this situation slide out of a sense of political decorum president Trump recently slammed the Euro nations for not paying enough. They agreed to pay more. Great.
*Political correctness: President Trump has a brash style. He is more like a street fighter than a seasoned politician. He comes from the world of business where the rules are different.
He has blown political correctness out of the water. Good. Political correctness has had a devastating effect on our discourse. We need more blunt talk rather than citizens and politicians walking on eggshells every time they open their mouths.
While the media impugn Trump every minute for his Twitter posts, the Silent Majority in America approves of them since they tweak the big noses of the Washington Establishment and the liberal minority in this country.
*The media: President Trump is confronting the radical bias and dishonesty of the Fake News media after decades in which those media ran roughshod over Republicans and conservatives.
He has called them fakers, liars and charlatans. CNN ratings have tumbled into the basement under Trump.
This is a major step forward against the entrenched interests in Washington who have generally played nice with the media in order to curry favorable coverage.
Watergate reporter Bob Woodward was worshiped for decades. But when he recently released a book claiming that the Trump White House was in chaos, president Trump hit back saying that it was Fake News. After a few days of publicity nobody was talking about the book. In the past it would have been discussed every day until the election.
This is one reason that the Fake News media hate Trump; he is cutting into their profits and their coverage.
*Terrorism: Obama allowed the Middle East wars in Iraq and Syria to start and fester by pulling US troops out of Iraq prematurely. He then did nothing about ISIS. This allowed the Syrian war to do massive damage to that country.
President Trump promised during the campaign that he would take out ISIS and he did so, with a year-long campaign of precision bombing. It worked perfectly, as expected.
*The environment: President Trump is finally weaning America off of the radical ‘green’ policies that have been imposed and accepted for decades.
It is about time we had a president with a spine. ‘Greenie’ policies not only harm the economy but they harm the environment too. Just look at these ugly windmills all over out mountaintops. Or our beautiful rural meadows being blanketed in black solar panels.
We need oil, natural gas, coal, pipelines and nuclear power. Period. No more ‘green’ nonsense.
*International trade: After decades in which foreign nations have taken advantage of the United States through unfair trade practices president Trump is fighting back. And winning.
He already got the Europeans to lower their trade barriers, and has re-negotiated the NAFTA deal with Mexico and Canada.
We still have problems with China and so president Trump has hit them with big tariffs in order to counter their illegal and unfair practices. He is expecting them to concede and make fairer deals after the tariffs start to pinch over the long term.
No other president has been willing to take these drastic actions. Good for Trump.
*Washington politeness: Washington has always been a bureaucratic city ruled by political decorum. Some of it is positive, but much of it is negative, for instance the reluctance of Republicans to act against Democrats like senator Dianne Feinstein who has acted with brazen disdain for Senate rules and for national security concerns among her own staff.
President Trump is not polite. If he thinks that something is wrong, he says it out loud. He even has criticized Obama and members of his own Republican party. Even his own attorney general. Good. They all need to hear from “the people” through president Trump.
The Washington bureaucracy: President Trump is taking aim at a bloated, overpaid and incompetent federal bureaucracy in which only .53% of workers are reported to have been fired in 2017. That number probably should be 25% knowing what losers many of these people are.
They work to “resist” president Trump even on the job. They have very stable and prosperous lifestyles for doing little or nothing. This is what scares them most about Trump – he wants to stop their gravy train.
