President Trump ordered a relentless US military bombing campaign against ISIS terrorists in Syria and has defeated them. Fox News reported:
Islamic State (ISIS) militants on Saturday hung on to their last parcel of land in eastern Syria after several days of bombardment from U.S. fighter jets and pressure from all sides by advancing forces on the ground.
Jiya Furat, the commander of the assault by the Syrian Democratic Forces, told Reuters that the militants are cornered and in a “very short time, we will spread the good tidings to the world of the military end of (ISIS).”
The capture of Baghouz and nearby areas would mark the end of a devastating four-year global campaign to end the extremist group’s hold on territory in Syria and Iraq, their so-called “caliphate” that at the height of the militant group’s power in 2014 controlled nearly a third of both Iraq and Syria.
President Trump on Saturday asked European allies to “take back” about 800 ISIS fighters and put them on trial. Trump said the U.S. “does not want to watch as these ISIS fighters permeate Europe, which is where they are expected to go. He vowed not to pull troops until after a 100 percent victory over the self-declared caliphate.
Nikitas3.com is acquainted with a Christian family from Syria and so has followed the story closely and knows the truth about the conflict from first-hand sources.
The authoritarian Syrian president Bashar al Assad has been keeping Syria stable. Christians and muslims have worshipped side by side for decades under Assad family rule, which is secular. Christians even hold many high government posts in Syria. Christians are 10% of the country’s population.
ISIS sought to disrupt this stability and to turn Syria into a radical islamic state. The ISIS fighters came out of Iraq and wanted to topple Assad. This would have turned Syria upside down and into a permanent war zone.
Obama could have wiped out ISIS with the same simple command as Trump did but did not do so since Obama was a pro-muslim leader.
President Trump vowed during his campaign to “bomb the sh## out of ISIS” and he kept that promise using precision weapons and targeting techniques. Media reports say that 30,000 terrorists have been killed and thousands more injured, while the rest have gone home.
This wipeout of ISIS did two major things – it ended the war in Syria, which had displaced millions of Syrians. And it stopped the ISIS war in the Middle East that could have spread to Turkey and Europe if Syria went down first.
Thank God president Trump stopped them. This was another major victory for him.
Amazon Dumps Plan for NY HQ
The decision by internet retailer Amazon to pull out of a proposed plan to build a headquarters in New York City, with tens of billions of dollars in long-term benefits for New York City and state, shows once again how destructive socialism is.
Many cities and states had dreamed of having the Amazon HQ. Yet New York had it and threw it away. Amazing.
Amazon pulled out after protests organized by left-wing anti-capitalist politicians and activist groups broke out over Amazon’s $3 billion proposed tax break from the city. These activists included congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who protested even though the Amazon facility would have generated tens of billions in jobs, payroll, civic improvement and tax revenues to New York City and state over the next two decades.
Even the brain-dead Hollywood left-wing lunatic Cher tweeted:
Are 25 Thousand New Jobs (Plus Thousands of Ancillary Jobs) Not a Good Idea For The Ppl Of NY!?
Amazon wrote in a statement:
“After much thought and deliberation, we’ve decided not to move forward with our plans to build a headquarters for Amazon in Long Island City, Queens. For Amazon, the commitment to build a new headquarters requires positive, collaborative relationships with state and local elected officials who will be supportive over the long-term. While polls show that 70 percent of New Yorkers support our plans and investment, a number of state and local politicians have made it clear that they oppose our presence and will not work with us to build the type of relationships that are required to go forward with the project we and many others envisioned in Long Island City.”
Amazon added that Democrat New York governor Cuomo and De Blasio “worked tirelessly on behalf of New Yorkers to encourage local investment and job creation, and we can’t speak positively enough about all their efforts.”
So now even far-left Democrat Cuomo, who wanted the Amazon facility but who is generally an anti-business socialist, has gotten a taste of his own medicine as jobs and wealth flee his over-taxed paradise and the radical thinkers like himself.
Still the mayor of New York managed to find fault with Amazon. PJ Media reported:
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called Amazon’s pullout from their planned Queens headquarters project “astounding,” “disappointing,” and “disrespectful to the people of New York City.”
At the beginning of the month, de Blasio said Amazon should adapt to NYC’s progressive culture in bringing a corporate headquarters to the city, and vowed to “hold their feet to the fire” to reap community benefits out of the online giant.
The Amazon announcement late last year promised to bring 25,000 jobs with an average salary of $150,000 a year, situating the hub in Queens. Yet the backroom negotiations and $3 billion in city and state tax subsidies prompted progressive protests and discontent among local residents.
So there you go; De Blasio, who is an anti-business, anti-capitalist leftist, has gotten a taste of his own medicine too. He wants to have it both ways – to criticize Amazon while expecting the company to obey him and bring jobs and wealth to the city.
And it is ironic that Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is himself a far-left Democrat. So these people are eating each other alive. This is going to lead to a big split on the political left. De Blasio said in a radio interview:
“For months, working on specific details, and I had conversation with top level Amazon executives about additional investments they needed to make in the community and mass transit, and other community improvements, the fact that they had to engage the labor community, they had to address real and meaningful controversies like the ICE issue, you know, and these are the kinds of things that corporate America should come to grips with because we’re in an age of profound income inequality and people are frustrated and they’d actually like to see corporations be decent and socially conscious and good neighbors, and Amazon did the exact opposite all the way through, and astounds me – it astounds me.”
So imagine that you are a corporation that is considering building a new headquarters and the local officials start lecturing you about “income inequality” and “meaningful controversies like the ICE (illegal immigration) issue”.
Thus it is no surprise that Amazon pulled out. Amazon has a business to run. It doesn’t have time to sit like a student in a left-wing college lecture on militant economics and wealth distribution.
Democrats and leftist have demanded over and over and over that all Americans must have good jobs. Yet when president Trump delivers, giving us one of the lowest unemployment rates in history, they smear him. Or when Amazon proposed to deliver 25,000 guaranteed jobs to New York City, and many more ancillary jobs, the same Democrats and leftists turned their backs.
No, leftists only want guaranteed incomes when the government gives jobs or handouts. When the private sector provides real, long-lasting and sustainable jobs where workers actually earn their pay, Democrats find a reason to protest.
In fact socialism creates circumstance in which jobs cannot exist. Despite the booming national economy and the strong economy in conservative states like Texas, Georgia, Florida and Arizona, the poor economic performance in liberal states like New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut and California is holding back millions of Americans.
These liberal states have been losing their younger, skilled and educated populations for decades as the states move further and further to the left with strong-arm unions and job-killing taxes, regulation and extremist environmentalism.
During the Obama presidency it was only economic growth in conservative states that prevented the entire American economy from falling into a real depression.
Vermont is another far-left state that has suffered from a significant outflow of its younger population due to a lack of opportunity resulting from bad economic policies. Yet here is US senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont talking about Amazon.
“The people of New York and America are increasingly concerned about the power of large multinational corporations and the billions in corporate welfare they receive. Our job is to end the race to the bottom where taxpayers in one city or state are forced to bid against each other for desperately needed jobs. This is what the rigged economy is all about.”
The economic conditions in liberal states is generally weak with increasing numbers of poor people – California now has the highest poverty rate in the nation – while the super-rich in these state are getting wealthier and wealthier.
This is classic socialism; it could be compared to Medieval feudal societies in which the serfs lived in subsistence poverty while the wealthy classes owned most of the land and had most of the power. This all happened long before the Industrial Revolution allowed and encouraged the creation of a middle class.
The company called Intel, which is considered the “grandfather” of the Silicon Valley computer revolution, has not created any jobs inside the state of California since the year 2000 because of California’s anti-business policies and tax policies. Intel has expanded in nearby states like Nevada, Utah and Oregon.
There was a famous case in 2006 when Toyota proposed to build a non-union engine manufacturing plant in Michigan that would have created several thousand high-paying jobs in a state that had lost huge numbers of jobs for decades. But since the plant would have been non-union militant labor union activists protested and Toyota backed out.
The Democrat governor of Michigan at the time, Canadian-born Jennifer Granholm, said nothing. After all she was and is in the back pocket of the unions.
But even left-wingers are finally getting the message about jobs. While Democrat Cuomo supported the Amazon proposal, he is generally a tax-the-rich, anti-business liberal. He celebrated when Rush Limbaugh left New York in protest of its high income taxes. Limbaugh moved to no-income-tax Florida, along with his fortune, which is estimated at several hundred million dollars.
Unfortunately for New York more and more rich people are leaving the city and state due to its high taxes, and the state budget is suffering since there are decreasing numbers of rich people paying taxes and increasing numbers of poor people, including illegal immigrants, on the state dole.
And now Amazon is gone precisely as New York has found itself in a deep budget hole.
Cuomo even went to the White House on February 13 to complain to president Trump about the December 2017 federal tax bill which has badly hurt high-tax states like New York.
Trump told Cuomo that he should allow ‘fracking’ for valuable natural gas in New York state if he wants to have more revenue for state operations.
The natural gas issue shows classic liberalism. Cuomo won’t allow “fracking” for natural gas even though the state sits on top of a huge gas deposit called the Marcellus Shale, with an estimated 600 trillion cubic feet of gas. The radical environmentalists in the state put a ban on “fracking” and Cuomo is their puppet.
Yet here is what Cuomo said about the people who pushed Amazon out:
“[A] small group [of] politicians put their own narrow political interests above their community – which poll after poll showed overwhelmingly supported bringing Amazon to Long Island City – the state’s economic future and the best interests of the people of this state.”
And thus you could say that the people who banned ‘fracking’ are also “a small group of politicians who put their own narrow political interests above their community”.
Are Democrats Being Paid Off by Mexican Drug Cartels?
Nikitas3.com believes that many Democrat politicians in America are getting indirect campaign contributions from Mexican drug cartels. This would be achieved through money-laundering operations that hide the real source of the cash.
Nikitas3.com has said for many years that politicians on the left all over the globe are on the side of, and getting payoffs from, international drug lords. After all liberals and Democrats since the 1960s have been urging Americans to take illegal drugs while the drug culture has always favored the permissive Democrat/socialist point of view, i.e., anything goes.
The family fortune of Democrat US president Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who served from 1933 to 1945, came from Roosevelt’s maternal grandfather Warren Delano who amassed his fortune shipping opium into China in the 19th century. Meanwhile the Kennedy family patriarch Joseph P. Kennedy was involved in illegal liquor bootlegging in the 1920s, and had ties to organized crime.
We also know that communist guerilla organizations like the FARC terrorists in Colombia are closely linked to the drug trade and to leftist political leaders. And we know that sources inside communist China are producing large amounts of deadly fentanyl that is being smuggled into the US through Mexico at huge profits, with payoffs to Mexican officials all along the route.
Now look at this from the BBC in Britain about the former Mexican president who is on the political left with the PRI party:
Former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto accepted a $100m (£77m) bribe from drug cartel kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, a witness has testified.
Alex Cifuentes, who says he was a close associate of Guzmán for years, told a New York City courtroom that he had told authorities of the bribe in 2016.
Guzmán is accused of being behind the Sinaloa drug cartel, which prosecutors say was the largest US drug supplier.
Mr Peña Nieto served as the president of Mexico from 2012 to 2018.
Guzmán, 61, has been on trial in Brooklyn since November after he was extradited from Mexico to face charges of trafficking cocaine, heroin and other drugs as leader of what the US has called the world’s largest drug cartel.
According to reporters in the Brooklyn courthouse, Mr Peña Nieto had requested $250m before settling on $100m.
Cifuentes claimed the delivery was made to Mexico City in October 2012 by a friend of El Chapo.
Cifuentes, a Colombian drug lord who has described himself as El Chapo’s “right-hand man”, worked as his secretary and spent two years hiding from authorities with him in the Mexican mountains, according to prosecutors.
Thus Nikitas3.com would not be one bit surprised if these Mexican cartels were found to be donating to Democrat candidates in the US. This would explain another reason that Democrats don’t want the border wall.
