Nikitas3.com has said repeatedly that US senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont is the leading candidate for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination.
This comes from observation of political protocol – that a candidate who runs but does not win the president nomination in one election cycle, like Sanders did in 2016, is usually the frontrunner four years later if he chooses to run, that he is “next in line” for the nomination.
But political protocol may no longer exist in the Era of Trump, particularly in an increasingly crowded Democrat field. So Nikitas3.com may be wrong about Sanders. In any event, The Daily Caller reported on February 19:
Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders announced on Tuesday that he will be entering the 2020 race to run for president on the Democratic ticket in 2020.
“We began the political revolution in the 2016 campaign, and now it’s time to move that revolution forward,” Sanders told Vermont Public Radio in an interview airing Tuesday morning.
The progressive senator unsuccessfully ran a 2016 presidential campaign as a Democrat. Although his run was initially considered a long-shot bid, Sanders won 23 primaries and caucuses. He also won more than 45 percent of pledged delegates, compared to challenger Hillary Clinton’s 54 percent.
Sanders not only ran an amazingly strong campaign in 2016 after nobody expected him to achieve anything but he probably should have won the nomination if Hillary Clinton and her crew had not rigged the primaries.
And with Sanders’ followers known for being vocal, unhinged extremists we are going to see them fight hard for their man. This will lead to great conflict during the Democrat primaries in the Winter/Spring of 2020. Nikitas3.com expects it to be the most divisive, combative primary in history.
Sanders will be 78 years old in 2020. He is a radical socialist – a communist really. This is going to work against him if he is the nominee. He also looks like he is deranged. He often shouts in his speeches and his white hair is often uncombed. His followers are basically left-wing screwballs. Since Nikitas3.com once lived in Vermont I can tell you that I know these people well. And many of them are very sick people who live very abnormal lives.
Sanders has many things working against him:
*He is an old white man in a party that claims that it represents youth and racial diversity. His “white male privilege” will probably doom him in the primaries, and he will be 78 years old in 2020.
*His brand of radicalism already is being expressed by most of the other Democrats who have announced that they are running in 2020 so Sanders will have a hard time distinguishing himself.
*His home state of Vermont is withering economically, with younger, skilled and educated people fleeing by the thousands every year. Vermont has subscribed fully to Sanders’ ideology so you can be sure that president Trump would make light of the situation in Vermont.
*There have been allegations of sexism and sexual harassment in Sanders’ 2016 campaign. This is going to come up in 2020.
*Sanders’ wife has been investigated by FBI over a financial deal that she made as president of a small college in Burlington (Vermont). If she is charged, indicted and found guilty it will derail him.
*Sanders is so extreme that he took his 1988 honeymoon in the communist Soviet Union back when it still was the #1 global enemy of the United States. If he is the nominee against Trump in 2020 that will certainly be a major issue to paint Sanders as an extremist.
Here is part of Sanders’ statement showing what a militant he is:
“I think the current occupant of the White House is an embarrassment to our country. I think he is a pathological liar… I also think he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, somebody who is gaining cheap political points by trying to pick on minorities, often undocumented immigrants.”
Friends, Trump would bury Sanders. Despite what Democrats think, America is not going to go for Batty Bernie. Meanwhile Democrats still think that Trump is an old-fashioned Republican who will roll over when he is confronted. They still don’t get Trump.
If Sanders were to be the nominee you can just imagine the three 2020 presidential debates. We know that Trump can debate like a pro. He would put Sanders away in the first debate with two more to go.
Meanwhile look at this from Fox News about one of the Bush acolytes:
President Donald Trump is “not well at all mentally” and Congress needs to remove him under the 25th Amendment, former President George W. Bush’s chief ethics attorney Richard Painter said Monday.
Painter, speaking on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour with Brian Williams,” accused Trump of “throwing a hissy fit” after Congress didn’t give him the $5 billion he initially requested for the wall and instead declared a national emergency along the U.S. southern border with Mexico.
So Nikitas3.com has this reminder for Richard Painter: George W. Bush’s presidency was a massive failure and you were part of it. The Iraq war was a catastrophe, 9/11 happened under Bush, illegal immigrants flooded into the country, and the economy collapsed in the final year of the Bush presidency.
So shut your big mouth, Mr. Painter, whoever you are.
