Trump Bars International Criminal Court, Funds Christian Rebuilding

The Trump administration has once again implemented an America First policy. Fox News reported:

The U.S. revoked the visa of an International Criminal Court prosecutor Friday as part of the Trump administration’s effort to rebuke the tribunal’s investigation into alleged war crimes committed by U.S. Forces in Afghanistan …

… The ICC is an international tribunal based in The Hague, the Netherlands that prosecutes individuals for international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and crimes of aggression only when other countries are unwillingly to do so. The U.S. has never been a member of the court and actively opposes its jurisdiction on an international stage.

Last month, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the U.S. would revoke the visas of ICC personnel who attacked America’s rule of law by investigating allegations against U.S. forces in Afghanistan or allegations against Israel…

… The ICC plans to investigate the actions of CIA operatives in secret detention centers in Afghanistan and in other nations that are members of the tribunal. Palestinians have asked the court to investigate allegations against Israel, a major U.S. ally in the Middle East.

This is another great move for president Trump. ICC is a globalist, left-wing, anti-American, anti-Christian organization and the US needs to stand up to it. These internationalist legal thugs intentionally target America and Israel for prosecution and persecution while ignoring the endless atrocities of terrorists and communists all over the globe.

Secretary of state Mike Pompeo is truly a star for us conservatives. He was a Republican congressman from Kansas when president Trump picked him, and most Americans don’t know much about him. Yet he is a highly accomplished individual and a very tough and effective secretary. Here is an excerpt from his Wikipedia page:

Pompeo was born in Orange, California… Pompeo was active in the Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. … In 1986, Pompeo graduated first in his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he majored in engineering management.

From 1986 to 1991, Pompeo served in the U.S. Army as an Armor Branch Officer with the 2nd Squadron, 7th Cavalry in the 4th Infantry Division, reaching the rank of Captain.

In 1994, Pompeo received a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School where he served as one of 78 editors of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and on the 81-member board of editors of the Harvard Law Review. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer for the law firm Williams & Connolly in Washington.

In 1998, Pompeo moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he and three other West Point friends, Brian Bulatao, Ulrich Brechbuhl, and Michael Stradinger acquired three aircraft-part manufacturers there (Aero Machine, Precision Profiling, B&B Machine) and in St. Louis (Advance Tool & Die), renaming the entity Thayer Aerospace after West Point superintendent Sylvanus Thayer. Venture funding for the private organization included a 2% investment from Koch Industries as well as Dallas-based Cardinal Investment and Bain Capital (Brechbuhl worked for Bain at the time). Brechbuhl and Stradinger left the company shortly after it was founded, but Pompeo and Bulatao continued until 2006. In 2017, when Pompeo became head of the CIA, he named Bulatao the agency’s chief operating officer.

In 2006, he sold his interest in Thayer to Highland Capital Management. The announcement said clients of the firm included “Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream Aerospace, Cessna Aircraft, Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems, Raytheon Aircraft and others”.It was renamed Nex-Tech Aerospace.

Pompeo then became president of Sentry International, an oilfield equipment manufacturer that was also a partner of Koch Industries.

Thus Pompeo has really “done it all” and he can see the world from many angles unlike most secretaries like John Kerry or Hillary Clinton who are wine-sipping elitists.

Notice that Pompeo graduated first in his class from West Point, and the media have ignored him. In contrast the Fake News media slobbered all over John McCain who graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the US Naval Academy and had a reputation as a reckless party boy at the Academy and in the military.

Trump Gets Tough on NATO, Gets Results

In another wise political gesture president Trump urged NATO members in 2017 to pay more for their own defense instead of relying heavily on US funding. And his plan is working. Fox News reported on April 4, 2019:

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in a historic address to Congress, declared Wednesday that President Trump’s push for NATO allies to increase their defense spending has “had an impact” and made the alliance stronger.

“Allies must spend more on defense. This has been the clear message from President Trump,” he said. “And this message is having a real impact.”

NATO does not have a defense budget, but members commit to spending a minimum of 2 percent of their Gross Domestic Products on defense. Trump, however, has repeatedly called out members that do not meet that commitment, even as this campaign has caused friction with longtime U.S. allies. The United States spends 3.5 percent of its GDP on defense, and Trump has long called for fellow NATO members to put up their share.

As Trump himself has taken credit for nations agreeing to increase their spending pledges, Stoltenberg said that NATO is stronger as a result of the U.S. pressure.

“After years of reducing defense budgets, all allies have stopped the cuts and all allies have increased their defense spending. Before they were cutting billions, now they are adding billions,” he said.

Stoltenberg told lawmakers that European allies and Canada have spent an additional $41 billion in the last two years and that by the end of 2020, that figure will rise to $100 billion.

“That money will allow us to invest in new capabilities our armed forces need, including advanced fighter aircraft, attack helicopters, missile defense and surveillance drones,” he said. “This is good for Europe and it is good for America.”

So once again we have president Trump getting tough and getting results. Yet the Fake News media falsely suggested that Trump wanted to pull the US out of NATO when he simply asked them to pay more. This was another example of media fabrication and fearmongering. has calculated that the United States spent up to $25 TRILLION (in today’s dollars) or more defeating Hitler in World War II, rebuilding Europe and defending Europe from the communist Soviet Union. also believes that it is time for Europe to pay America back that $25 trillion. That would eliminate our national debt and save US taxpayers more than $500 billion in interest payments every single year.

Christian Churches Being Rebuilt

Since the invasion of Iraq by US troops in 2003 Christians in Iraq and Syria have suffered gravely.

Millions of those Christians – primarily Orthodox Christians and Catholics – have been displaced, forced into exile and murdered, while thousands of churches, monasteries and cemeteries have been damaged or destroyed by evil muslims. Here is just one example from the BBC:

Satellite images confirm that the oldest Christian monastery in Iraq has been destroyed by the jihadist group Islamic State (IS).

St Elijah’s stood on a hill near the northern city of Mosul for 1,400 years.

But analysts said the images, obtained by the Associated Press, suggested it had been demolished in late 2014, soon after IS seized the city.

A Catholic priest from Mosul warned that its Christian history was “being barbarically levelled”.

“We see it as an attempt to expel us from Iraq, eliminating and finishing our existence in this land,” said Father Paul Thabit Habib, who now lives in Kurdish-administered Irbil.

The group has also demolished a number of monasteries and churches, as well as renowned pre-Islamic sites including Nimrud, Hatra and Nineveh in Iraq and Palmyra in Syria.

St Elijah’s Monastery, or Deir Mar Elia, was believed to have been constructed by Assyrian monks in the late 6th century. It was later claimed by a Chaldean Catholic order. is personally acquainted with a Christian husband and wife from Syria who told me about the toll of the war. A brother of the husband was kidnapped and presumably killed (he has not been seen alive since) while an aunt of the husband, an Orthodox Christian nun, was kidnapped along with a group of orphans but released.

Fortunately president Trump took action to save Syria from being taken over by the terrorists. US military air strikes on ISIS in Syria are reported to have killed 30,000 terrorists. ISIS has been effectively destroyed, driven out of Syria and totally demoralized. This is fantastic news for the civilized world. Thank you president Trump.

Obama could have done the same thing but he chose not to since Obama has been tacitly supporting a radical islamic takeover of the Middle East for his entire political career.

Meanwhile Caleb Parke at Fox News reports:

The Trump Administration has committed more than $340 million to help Christians affected by the ISIS genocide in the Middle East. Now, different areas are starting to see churches and cemeteries restored after the terror group specifically sought their demolition.

Vice President Pence announced the Genocide Recovery and Persecution Response Program last year, partnering with non-profit groups, to help rebuild the communities that were targeted by ISIS.

“We’re continuing to work with a strong range of nongovernmental organizations — NGOs, as they are known — including the great ministry of the Knights of Columbus,” Pence said last week in an address at Ave Maria University. “We’re going to rebuild these communities. We’re going to work with our partners across the Nineveh Plain, Iraq, the Kurdish region of Iraq. And we’re going to see these communities come home.”

Supreme Knight Carl Anderson, whose congressional testimony was a key component in drafting “The Iraq and Syria Genocide Relief and Accountability Act,” which passed unanimously and was signed into law by President Trump in 2018, recently visited Iraq at the invitation of Archbishop Bashar Warda of Erbil as part of the partnership to provide aid for reconstructing a Catholic church and restoring Christian cemeteries in Nineveh.

The Knights will also help with the reconstruction of the town of Karamles, restoring property rights, building Step-In clinics in Erbil and Dohuk for displaced Yazidis, creating aid for Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Syria, and establishing a human rights and religious freedom observatory at the Catholic University in Erbil, to help create an alert system to prevent future genocides.

“Those we met with made clear that Knights of Columbus support has been decisive in helping these communities survive,” said Anderson, who met with senior Church leaders and U.S. and Kurdish government officials. “More help is on the way, as we remain committed to ensuring that ISIS and its ideology do not eliminate Christians and religious minorities from this region.”

The Knights said they will provide an additional $3 million in direct funding for humanitarian programs in Iraq, with an additional $2.5 million in co-funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development will be supplied by government partners for a total of $5.5 million. The Knight of Columbus has donated more than $20 million since 2014 on behalf of persecuted Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East.

The support has funded rebuilding – and saving – the town of Karamles, after its liberation from ISIS; feeding tens thousands of displaced people; providing short-term and long-term housing for the displaced; supporting educational and medical programs for those targeted by ISIS, etc.

In addition, before Easter, the Knights will roll out a plan that allows the organization’s local units to adopt parishes and other worthy projects in the region, allowing funding of specific projects by Knights around the world.

God bless president Trump for doing great work to save Syria from the barbarians. Unfortunately it is too late for many Christians. It is estimated that most of Iraq’s 1.5 million pre-war Christians have been dispersed, have fled the country or been killed, while many of Syria’s 2 million Christians have suffered the same fate.

Even in France Christian churches are being damaged and vandalized, largely a result of the muslim influx into France along with the decades-long rhetorical ‘war’ on Christianity by the socialist/communist left. Breitbart News reports:

French churches are coming increasingly under attack with an average of nearly three churches per day targetted for vandalism alone over the past three years.

A report from the Central Criminal Intelligence Service (SCRC) of the gendarmerie noted that from 2016 to 2018 there had been thousands of cases of church vandalism, peaking in 2017 with 1,045 cases, Le Figaro reports.

According to the French Ministry of the Interior, when cemeteries and other sites are taken into consideration, the number of acts of vandalism rose to 1,063 in 2018.

Earlier this year, in one week alone France saw twelve churches vandalized, including attackers attempting to set fire to the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris.

In Nimes, an even more heinous attack occurred, with vandals smearing faeces on the wall of the church of Notre-Dame des Enfants and stealing objects from the altar.

In March, the over 800-year-old Basilica of Saint-Denis in the now heavily migrant-populated suburbs of Paris was also vandalised, with the basilica’s organ being heavily damaged and stained glass windows were broken.

Thefts of religious objects have seen an increase since 2016, rising from 121 to 129 in 2018. According to the gendarmes, the thefts are mostly opportunistic, and in some rare cases are carried out by organised crime groups.

Saint-Denis is the oldest Gothic cathedral in Europe. It is a travesty that this is happening.
