Just a short time ago much of the nation was fixated on the Democrats’ fever dream about impeaching president Trump over collusion with Russia. But since that has been proven false we have president Trump striking back, saying:
“After wasting all of this money, and all of this time, with people who were haters, people who worked on the Clinton Foundation, people who absolutely were haters of Trump, they found no collusion,” he said. “What has been found during this time are the illegal acts of getting this whole phony investigation started, and hopefully that’s where people are going now… It was an illegal investigation, it was started illegally. Everything about it was crooked. There were dirty cops. Bad people, you look at McCabe and Comey, and you look at Lisa [Page] and Peter Strzok, these were bad people. This was an attempted coup, an attempted takedown of the president.”
“So the Mueller report, when they talk about obstruction, we fight back because I knew how illegal this whole thing was, it was a scam.”
“What I’m most interested in is getting started on going back to the origins of exactly where this all started because this was an illegal witch hunt and everybody knew it. And they got caught. What they did was treason, what they did was terrible.”
“There is a hunger for that to happen,” he said about an investigation into the Mueller probe.
“As far as I’m concerned, I don’t care about the Mueller report, we’ve been totally exonerated. No collusion, no obstruction…”
Great. How the times have changed. Now look at this from Breitbart News:
Former President Barack Obama’s former White House counsel Greg Craig expects to be indicted on federal corruption charges over a scandal with Ukraine, his lawyers said Wednesday.
The Wall Street Journal‘s Byron Tau and Aruna Viswantha reported late Wednesday:
Former Obama White House counsel Greg Craig expects to be indicted in the coming days on charges stemming from work he performed for Ukraine in 2012, Mr. Craig’s legal team said. Mr. Craig has refused to accept a plea deal, and the matter could be presented to a grand jury for indictment as soon as Thursday, people familiar with the matter say. A spokesman for the Justice Department declined to comment.
The New York Times‘ Kenneth Vogel, in his own report on the looming likely indictment of the former senior Obama official, writes that this “stemmed from” Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
While Mueller has concluded his investigation and determined that President Donald Trump and his campaign did not collude with the Russians, while also not finding sufficient evidence to charge Trump on obstruction of justice other matters that came up in Mueller’s probe have been handed off to different U.S. attorneys and federal law enforcement agencies for their handling.
In other words the Muller probe, which was supposed to bring down Trump, is backfiring on Democrats big time. And the Democrats are furious, are tied in knots and are scared to death. Craig’s expected indictment is certainly the tip of the iceberg.
You may recall that just one day after Paul Manafort was indicted by Mueller in 2017 for his dealings with Ukraine, the most powerful lobbying firm in Washington shut itself down over its own ties to Ukraine. That firm was called The Podesta Group and it was run by one of the most famous Democrats in Washington named Tony Podesta, whose brother John ran Hillary’s 2016 campaign.
Obviously Tony Podesta knew that the heat was rising and he got out quickly.
This, friends, is why the Democrats are so anxious to get rid of president Trump. Because Trump’s promise to “drain the swamp” is going to take down many top Democrats and they know it. Fox News reports about attorney general William Barr speaking about the Deep State anti-Trumpers who sought to implicate the president in the collusion scandal:
Attorney General Bill Barr testified Wednesday that he believes “spying did occur” on the Trump campaign in 2016, as he vowed to review the conduct of the FBI’s original Russia probe — and the focus of a related internal review shifted to the role of a key FBI informant.
“I think spying did occur. The question is whether it was adequately predicated. … I think it’s my obligation. Congress is usually very concerned with intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies staying in their proper lane,” he testified before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee, while noting that “spying on a political campaign is a big deal.”
Great. It is not only a big deal but is the most significant political scandal in American history. Look at what else Fox News is reporting:
The comments follow a new report that the Justice Department’s internal watchdog also is scrutinizing the role of an FBI informant who contacted members of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, as part of a broader review of the early stages of the Russia investigation. The New York Times reported that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz is looking into informant Stefan Halper’s work during the Russia probe, as well as his work with the FBI prior to the start of that probe.
OK, so not only is Barr talking about “spying” and a potential investigation but Horowitz already is reviewing the plot against Trump. There could be much more coming that we don’t know about. And Democrats are terrified. This case could go all the way up to the Clintons and to Obama.
Naturally Democrats are going bonkers over Barr’s “spying” comment because they know that their side could be subjected to the same type of scrutiny as Mueller subjected Trump to. Fox News reported:
While vowing to release Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s now-completed Russia report in a matter of days, Barr also announced Tuesday that he was reviewing the origins of the Russia investigation at the FBI and the Justice Department, amid mounting calls for scrutiny of the probe’s beginnings from Trump and prominent congressional Republicans.
“More generally, I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all of the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted in the summer of 2016,” Barr told the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday.
Also on Tuesday, Fox News reported that a source said Barr had assembled a “team” to investigate the origins of the bureau’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign.
This “team” could mean a special counsel investigation or something similar like Mueller’s probe of Trump. Fantastic.
So naturally Democrat immediately went after Barr, the same Democrats who let Muller roam free for almost two years after which Mueller came up with zero. Fox News reported:
Prominent Democrats lined up to hammer Attorney General William Barr for testifying Wednesday that federal authorities had spied on the Trump campaign in 2016, with one top House Democrat charging that Barr is not acting “in the best interest of the DOJ or the country.”
Despite mounting evidence that the FBI pursued an array of efforts to gather intelligence from within the Trump campaign, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md, told Fox News that Barr’s loyalties were compromised.
“He is acting as an employee of the president,” Hoyer said. “I believe the Attorney General believes he needs to protect the president of the United States.”
Added House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in an interview with the Associated Press: “I don’t trust Barr, I trust Mueller.”
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., added in a statement that Barr “should not casually suggest that those under his purview engaged in ‘spying’ on a political campaign.”
“This type of partisan talking point may please Donald Trump, who rails against a ‘deep state coup,'” Schiff said, “but it also strikes another destructive blow to our democratic institutions. The hardworking men and women at the DOJ and FBI deserve better.”
… NBC News’ Chuck Todd accused the attorney general of giving credence to a “conspiracy theory.”
“Using the word spying,” the “Meet the Press” moderator said, “plays into the president’s language and argument that the Russia investigation to him is just a witch hunt, and every time they’ve brought up this allegation, there has been zero factual basis for it. Every effort to perpetrate the spying conspiracy theory has been debunked.”
Todd continued, “It doesn’t matter what the truth is, does it? I mean, I hate to say this now, but that’s the whole point. It feels like that basically the attorney general gaslit the country.”
MSNBC legal analyst Nick Akerman claimed that Barr’s remarks were “all part of the White House’s cover-up” of the Mueller probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 elections. He also accused the attorney general of telling the White House what’s in the special counsel’s report.
No, it is not a “conspiracy theory” and Democrats know it; that is why they are so unhinged. Investigative reporters like Gregg Jarrett, John Solomon, Sarah Carter, David Schoen and Sidney Powell have been exposing this fraud against Trump for more than a year and reporting it in detail on Sean Hannity’s radio and TV programs. This is why Democrats are panicking; they monitor Hannity closely and they already know the evidence against them.
Many people have gone down in flames opposing president Trump from Hillary Clinton to internet trolls, Hollywood goons and anti-Trump conservatives to thugs in the streets who have harassed and assaulted Trump supporters.
This “spying” comment by Barr indicates that many top anti-Trumpers in Washington may very well end up in jail.
Drain the Swamp!
