Just to show how often these liberal boycotts backfire, consider the tremendous success that the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A is experiencing.
After years of liberal protests over the conservative politics of its Christian owners – the chain is even closed on Sundays – Chick-fil-A has surged to third place among fast-food restaurants in America.
McDonald’s is #1 with $38.5 billion in annual sales and #2 is Starbucks with $20.4 billion. Chick-fil-A is third with a whopping $10.5 billion.
Still the Chick-fil-A haters are hard at work. The Yelp page for a Chick-fil-A in Albany, New York lists 52% of its ratings at the lowest level. In other words the liberal internet trolls are hard at work trying to bring down Chick-fil-A with bad reviews. On the other hand look at this from The Daily Caller:
Chick-fil-A was named the most popular fast-food chain for the fourth consecutive year in a 2018-2019 American Customer Satisfaction Index report published Tuesday.
On a customer satisfaction scale of 100 points, which is based on the input of nearly 23,000 individual customers, the fried chicken restaurant earned 87 points in 2018 and 86 in 2019. Panera Bread received the second-highest score with 81 points for both years, and McDonald’s earned the lowest score with 69 points for both years.
“(Chick-fil-A) still demonstrates customer satisfaction dominance,” ACSI reported. “With its strong satisfaction edge and plans to continue expanding, the chicken specialist could pose a threat to even the largest players in the industry.”
Wow. Just imagine how this angers and confounds the Chick-fil-A haters. Thus for every liberal protester screaming on Yelp there are thousands of normal Americans and conservatives who are going out to enjoy a good fast-food meal or who are actively supporting Chick-fil-A in response to the protests.
One of the big problems with such boycotts is that they bring publicity to a company like Chick-fil-A and often help it, not hurt it.
Tyler O’Neil recently wrote about the success of Chick-fil-A on the PJ Media website. Here are excerpts from O’Neil followed by a Nikitas3.com comment for each:
O’Neil writes: Chick-fil-A has had a difficult year. In March, liberal outlets slammed the restaurant chain’s charitable foundation for funding Christian organizations “with a history of anti-LGBTQ discrimination.” Then the San Antonio (Texas) airport banned the restaurant for seven years and the Buffalo (NY) airport followed soon after. Yet in May and June, the tide turned rather decisively.
The FAA’s Office of Civil Rights opened an investigation into the airport bans. Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) signed S.B. 1978, a law preventing Texas government actors from discriminating against religious groups or those who associate with them — a bill known as the “Save Chick-fil-A Bill”.
Nikitas3.com comment: Good. Since when have the personal political preferences of a business owner become national news and incited boycotts? Answer: Since the owner is a Christian. And these airport bans are pure religious bigotry. They must be disposed of.
Why are there no such widely-publicized nationwide boycotts by conservatives of companies that support abortion (Verizon) or sex-changing (Nabisco) or National Anthem protests (Nike) or gun control (Dick’s Sporting Goods)?
Answer: Because conservatives do not carry around their hatred and anger every minute as liberals do. This makes us conservatives vastly better and better-adjusted people.
O’Neil writes: There may be a political and even spiritual dimension to Chick-fil-A’s success, however. The chicken joint is famously closed on Sundays and has a corporate mission to “glorify God”. Conservative Americans flocked to the restaurant chain when controversy over LGBT issues broke out in 2012.
Nikitas3.com comment: So there you go. Conservatives patronized Chick-fil-A specifically to show their support, causing the boycott to backfire. At the same time the owners of Chick-fil-A want to “glorify God”. That’s a winner in any country. Or any galaxy.
O’Neil writes: That year, CEO Dan Cathy said the U.S. was “inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and we say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.” This infuriated LGBT activists, who also discovered that the WinShape Foundation, a charitable organization founded in 1984 by Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, donated money to socially conservative charities such as Eagle Forum, Focus on the Family, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Family Research Council (FRC), Exodus International, and the Marriage & Family Legacy Fund.
Nikitas3.com comment: So what? These charities are conservative and mainstream. But that is a crime to Democrats, leftists and media skunks. Fortunately most Americans don’t see the crime.
O’Neil writes: Activists denounced this funding as contributions to “anti-gay groups,” and indeed such organizations support the traditional Bible definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. These organizations have been demonized, with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) accusing FRC of being a “hate group” — an accusation that inspired a terrorist to attempt a mass shooting in 2012.
Nikitas3.com comment: Imagine how enraged the liberals are to see Chick-fil-A succeeding wildly after their campaign against the company. Just like Trump is succeeding after three-years of minute-by-minute media attacks on his character. It is great to watch liberal heads explode over both.
Another Trump Accuser Exposed as Fraudster
The Gateway Pundit reports:
CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday interviewed E. Jean Carroll, a woman who alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990’s.
Bergdorf Goodman is a very high-end department store packed with attentive salespeople and security which makes Carroll’s claims even more preposterous.
Anderson Cooper was left speechless and stuttering and decided to cut to commercial break after E. Jean Carroll called rape “sexy.”
“I think most people think of rape as being sexy,” Carroll said. “They think of the fantasies.”
The woman is not well.
And it appears she is also a plagiarist.
Carroll’s story is eerily similar to an episode of Law and Order from season 13 — right down to the rape fantasy in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room.
The Gateway Pundit then links to an episode of Law and Order where a guy is telling the cops about a fantasy of a woman being raped in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room!
Will we see The Washington Post exposing Carroll? No.
NBC, ABC, NPR? Ditto. The New York Times? Ditto.
This whole charade is just another fraud being perpetrated by the Democrats and Trump haters. This woman has about as much credibility at Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels and the rest of the deranged anti-Trumpers. They are digging their own political graves.
Dig, losers, dig!
Trump in 2020!
