In April 1999 two teenage students attacked the Columbine high school in Colorado with guns and killed 12 fellow students and one teacher. The attackers were directly influenced by a Hollywood film called Natural Born Killers made by left-wing director Oliver Stone.
Progressives love to say that Natural Born Killers is “just a film” and that it does not really influence anyone. And that Stone has the 1st Amendment right to make such a film.
Yet you will never see a Hollywood film where gays or blacks or Jews or environmentalists or left-wing activists are gratuitously attacked. Because the Hollywood goons know that these films definitely do influence their audiences.
A steady diet of Hollywood violence has fueled real-world American violence for many decades. But then the radical elites in Hollywood scream for gun control in order to divert attention from their ugly incitements including huge numbers of guns blazing in movies and TV shows.
In fact, friends, guns don’t kill people. A gun has never jumped out of a drawer, aimed itself and fired itself. It is always fired by a person, sometimes with an evil motive. And that motive could be gotten from watching a movie like Natural Born Killers or a violent network TV show, of which there are many every single week.
The Hollywood studio NBC Universal was planning to release, but has canceled, a film called The Hunt. It depicts a bunch of wealthy globalist elites hunting down and killing people called “deplorables”, which means Trump supporters.
This film was obviously intended to portray and incite violence against Trump supporters but president Trump called out the film’s makers. He tweeted:
Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves “Elite,” but they are not Elite. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite. The movie coming out is made in order….
….to inflame and cause chaos. They create their own violence, and then try to blame others. They are the true Racists, and are very bad for our Country!
Great. This is first time that any American president has so directly singled out the freaks in Hollywood for their awful productions. This is going to make a great neutralizing campaign tactic for 2020 as Democrats demand more gun control.
And it is another example of “the Trump curse” at work. The company that made the film is going to lose all of the money that it invested in making it. Good.
Consider the Hollywood actor Robert De Niro who hates Trump and has threatened to do physical harm to the president. This would be expected. De Niro has made his fame and fortune portraying gangsters, killers, mafia bosses, lunatics and thugs in gun-filled, violence-laden movies full of murder, shooting, anger, hatred, betrayal, addiction, alcoholism, dissolution, sexual exploitation and threats like Taxi Driver, Casino, Killer Elite and Goodfellas.
Here is Wikipedia reporting about a minor De Niro film called Being Flynn:
Nick Flynn (Dano) is an aspiring writer who works at a homeless shelter where his estranged father Jonathan (De Niro) is a client. Jonathan, an alcoholic ex-con and self-proclaimed “master storyteller”, left Nick’s mother Jody (Moore) years earlier to raise Nick on her own. She eventually committed suicide, for which Nick feels responsible. Jonathan gets into fights with the other clients, and Nick is tempted to throw him out. Nick and Jonathan get into an intense argument, during which Jonathan tells Nick that they are the same. The stress of seeing his father again drives Nick to drink heavily and abuse drugs, costing him his relationship with his girlfriend and coworker, Denise (Olivia Thirlby).
This is depressing and disgraceful (suicide, violence, alcohol, drugs, etc.) but is typical of De Niro’s resume. In short, De Niro has been a role model for bad, sick people. He makes it seem “cool” to be evil, which is an extremely dangerous thing. Yet then he claims that president Trump is somehow a bad person.
No, it is Robert De Niro who is a bad person…
There is a famous real-world incident of mass gun violence known as The North Hollywood Shootout of February 28, 1997 in North Hollywood, California. Eleven police officers and 7 civilians were injured in a fierce gun battle with two bank robbers.
The robbers were finally killed after more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition total, most of it from automatic weapons that the robbers wielded, were fired by both the robbers and the police. It was the most violent gun battle in the history of the United States outside of the military.
Wikipedia reports about the Shootout and its links to a 1995 film called Heat:
The explicit nature of several of (Heat’s) scenes was cited as the model of a spate of robberies since its release. This included armored car robberies in South Africa, Colombia, Denmark and Norway and most famously the 1997 North Hollywood shootout, in which Larry Phillips, Jr. and Emil Mătăsăreanu robbed the North Hollywood branch of the Bank of America and, similarly to the film, were confronted by the LAPD as they left the bank. Phillips did have a copy of the movie where he lived. This shootout is considered one of the longest and bloodiest events of its type in American police history. Both robbers were killed, and eleven police officers and seven civilians were injured during the shootout. Heat was widely referenced during the coverage of the shootout.
Notice that Phillips had a copy of Heat at his home; the Heat video cassette was even reported to have been in his video player when police searched the apartment after Phillips and Matasareanu died. And what famous Hollywood actor starred in Heat?
None other than left-wing Trump-hater creep Robert De Niro…
We have no real idea how much violence Hollywood has incited since we only see occasional glimpses when we have a confirmed link as in the Columbine case and the North Hollywood shootout. But we can rest assured that millions of lesser-known acts of violence and aggression can be attributed to these movies which are designed to set off people on the emotional fringes.
Meanwhile there is another industry that is de-sensitizing millions of people to violence and that is the video game industry which produces screen images that allow the gamer to ‘kill’ people left and right, often in violent and bloody ways.
And if you don’t think that this activity influences the brains of these gamers then you have never studied Psychology 101. The brain can always be affected by things that it sees through the eyes.
Here is The Daily Mail reporting on the Sandy Hook school killer of 2012 who murdered 20 little kids and six staff members at the school:
Adam Lanza had notched up more than 83,000 ‘kills’ on his beloved video games including 22,000 ‘head shots’ as he trained himself for the horrific Sandy Hook massacre, it has emerged.
In fact these violent video games are produced by media companies that are allied on the political left with the skunks in Hollywood like Robert De Niro and the makers of films like Heat and The Hunt.
At the same time, look at this from USA Today after 22 people were shot dead in a WalMart in El Paso, Texas:
Following two shootings inside its stores, Walmart is removing violent video game displays and signs from stores, the retailer confirmed Thursday.
Stores were sent a memo that called for “immediate action” to remove signing and displays that “contain violent themes or aggressive behavior.” The memo circulated on Twitter and Reddit, and Walmart officials confirmed its authenticity to USA TODAY.
This makes sense; who would want to walk into a WalMart after the El Paso murders and see video game images of people being shot?
Nobody. Yet these images were displayed for years in WalMart and in thousands of other stores throughout the country. Did they, and images like them, and the violent video games that they advertised, influence the El Paso killer to do his dirty deed?
They certainly did but the Fake News media will never discuss it.
Meanwhile the gun-control fanatics are trying to get WalMart to stop selling guns while saying nothing about video game displays that depict violence. And violent Hollywood films.
