Media Whip up Recession Fears

Perhaps you have noticed that we are hearing more and more talk in the Fake News media about a potential recession.

And we could indeed experience a recession some time in the next few years. Recessions are a normal part of the economic cycle and recessions can be mild to severe.

There were several recessions between the beginning of the Reagan boom in 1982 and the economic collapse of 2008 but in general the economy just kept growing and thriving on an upward trajectory.

One of the reasons that president George HW Bush lost his bid for re-election to a second term in 1992 was that the country was suffering a mild recession at the time of the election.

The Democrats and Fake News media know that a recession is pretty much their only hope of unseating president Trump and so they want a recession and are going to be talking about recession, recession, recession until the day of the 2020 election, hoping to cause one.

Left-wing commentator Bill Maher said about wanting a recession, “I really do. We have survived many recessions. We can’t survive another Donald Trump term.”

But president Trump is a fighter and he would not take a recession lying down. If there were a recession he would point out that:

*Recessions are normal cyclical events and that we should remain calm.

*The anti-Trump Federal Reserve has been encouraging a recession with its policies. It could cause a recession right before the 2020 election with a damaging interest-rate increase. Watch for this to possibly happen.

*The socialistic high-tax states in the US like New York, Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey and California have relatively stagnant economies which are dragging down the national economy, which could lead to a recession.

*The very socialistic, high-tax, high-regulation nations of Europe have poor economic numbers with growth rates averaging under 2%. Japan’s socialistic economy grew at a pathetic .4% in the second quarter of 2019. In the last three years Japan has never even reached 1%.

This all is dragging down the global economy and the US economy which is growing at 2% to 3% under president Trump. Newsmax.com reported about Germany, which is the world’s 4th largest economy at $4 trillion annual GDP:

Germany, Europe’s industrial powerhouse and biggest economy, with companies like Volkswagen, Siemens and BASF, may be entering a recession, according to a gloomy report from the country’s central bank Monday — a development that could have repercussions for the rest of the eurozone and the United States.

A technical recession is defined as two consecutive quarters of negative growth, and Germany saw a 0.1% drop in the April-to-June period. In its monthly report, the Bundesbank said that with falling industrial production and orders, it appears the slump is continuing during the July-to-September quarter.

“The overall economic performance could decline slightly once again,” it said. “Central to this is the ongoing downturn in industry.”

Japan and Europe also have high government-imposed energy costs, like expensive ‘green’ energy and high gasoline taxes. This is slowing down the global economy which harms the US economy.

Nikitas3.com calculates that if Japan and Europe had 2% or 3% growth or more that the US would easily have 4% and 5% growth and more.

*Even China’s economy is slowing down, harming the global economy.

We have seen the Fake News media try to “talk us into” a recession before. They tried to do it during president George W. Bush’s second term and were thrilled with the economic collapse of September 2008 which led to the election of Obama less than 2 months later.

They see the same thing possible next year. They would like nothing better than a serious economic downturn even if millions of people lost their jobs.

On the other hand the Fake News media said nothing when the economy was mired in a virtual depression during Obama’s two terms in office.

Let’s Ban Hammer and Clubs, Not Guns

The most recent FBI crime statistics show that more people were killed in 2017 with hammers and clubs than by rifles of any kind.

The numbers showed that 467 people were killed with “blunt objects (hammers, clubs, etc.),” while 403 were killed with rifles.

And since killings with so-called “assault weapons” are just a small part of the number of rifle killings, we obviously need a ban on hammers and clubs more than we need a ban on “assault weapons”.

More Phony ‘Warming’ Propaganda

The Associated Press reported on August 14:

Stifling heat smothered states from Texas to South Carolina on Tuesday with temperatures that felt like 120 degrees … making it difficult to be outside for long, much less work or play.

Look where it says “that felt like 120 degrees”. This is how the Fake News media, in collusion with its ‘greenie’ friends, are seeking to frighten casual readers of the article as if the temperature went to 120 degrees.

It did not. This 120 degrees refers to the ‘heat index’ which combines the effects of temperature and humidity. And this is expected. It happened in the Southern US in August.

That number is much higher than the actual temperature just like the ‘wind chill index’ makes cold temperatures feel much lower when the effect of wind is factored in.

Naturally the left-wing Vice website posted an alarmist headline saying that The 120-Degree Heat Waves of the Future Could Melt Streets and Bend Train Tracks

Beware of these ‘greenies’. They are constantly manipulating the news to make everything look like the end of the world for their own political benefit.

Meanwhile ‘greenies’ try to minimize historic cold temperatures like the entire Winter of 2018 which was the coldest Winter in 100 years in the Northern US.
