Pro Basketball has Become a Tool of Communist China

First, some good news as president Trump fights for better trade terms with communist China. reported:

… President Trump announced that the first phase of a deal with China had been agreed… The partial deal — which covers agriculture, currency and some aspects of intellectual property protections — represents the first step forward to end the trade war in 15 months.

Friends, China would never be making any concessions at all if Trump weren’t hanging tough. So hats off to the president for yet another job well done on behalf of us ‘deplorable’ Americans.

By the way communist China has the world’s second largest economy at roughly $12 trillion in annual economic production. The United States is first with $22 trillion. The combined economies of Europe is about $19 trillion. So those three out of the annual global wealth of $85 trillion is a pretty good chunk of the world’s economy.

Pro Basketball has Become a Tool of Communist China

In case you have not noticed, players in the National Football League have abandoned their anti-American ‘kneeling’ movement during the National Anthem.

The movement was very unpopular and led to big TV ratings drops and in-person crowd losses for the NFL while its instigator Colin Kaepernick has become persona non grata in professional football. So the NFL ditched it in panic.

Not to be outdone the National Basketball Association (NBA) has taken over the anti-American movement with a pro-communist-China agenda. With most of the NBA players being black this has become a perfect time for these spoiled multi-millionaire brats to bite the hand that feeds them.

American basketball is a hot sport in China. The Chinese not only love the sport for its tall, aggressive players – since Chinese are generally short – but they are buying huge amounts of NBA gear like sneakers, T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, etc.

The NBA in turn has welcomed China to its fan base with its 1.2 billion people. But things got rocky after one single NBA official offered one single tweet in support of the people of Hong Kong in their protests against Chinese oppression.

After Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey simply tweeted the words “Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong” the Chinese went nuts in classic totalitarian style. Breitbart News reported:

Houston Rockets merchandise was removed from various Nike stores in China amid a free speech uproar sparked by the team’s general manager tweet in which he expressed support for the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong, a Thursday report states.

According to Reuters, managers from five Nike stores in Beijing and Shanghai said Rockets’ sneakers and other clothing items were pulled after they received a directive from senior management that the team’s gear was to be taken off the shelves.

Reuters reports:

Three Nike stores in Shenzhen also kept Rockets merchandise off the shelves, as well as NBA products in general, staff told Reuters by phone. Three Nike stores in Chengdu, a bustling inland city in southwest China, also removed Rockets products.

Can you believe this? From one single tweet that reflects what billions of decent people throughout the world think? That we should all support freedom-fighters wherever they may be?

And that is precisely why the tweet is so terrifying to the dirty communist runts in Beijing. They are a pernicious Asian form of vicious, paranoid tyrants. They tolerate zero dissent, even from halfway around the world in a single internet message.

This removal of Rockets merchandise from the stores is frightening to the NBA. Even with all of its vast wealth from its position at the apex of American sports the NBA wants more, more, more, no matter the consequences.

This shows how the Chinese totalitarians work. Anyone who wants a piece of the Chinese market has to pay a price. And that price is obedience to communist dogma.

And despite the massive global power that China has built in the last few decades – using all American technology, by the way, much of it stolen – China has acted like an elephant with the mouse in the room, i.e., frightened of the smallest thing like one tweet from one man.

Why? Because murderous tyrants know that a loss of power means their own death or exile. And so they do not want to hear a single word that could mean a loss of power.

But alas Morey caved in to pressure on both the US side and the Chinese side. Breitbart News reported:

… A short time after Morey posted that statement, the NBA said it was “regrettable” that the deleted tweet offended many in China. And all that followed several companies in China, including some of the NBA’s major business partners there, lashing out over Morey’s original tweet.

“I did not intend my tweet to cause any offense to Rockets fans and friends of mine in China,” Morey wrote on Twitter Monday. “I was merely voicing one thought, based on one interpretation, of one complicated event. I have had a lot of opportunity since that tweet to hear and consider other perspectives.”

“I have always appreciated the significant support our Chinese fans and sponsors have provided and I would hope that those who are upset will know that offending or misunderstanding them was not my intention. My tweets are my own and in no way represent the Rockets or the NBA.”

This just goes to show that money talks even when it is paid out by genocidal tyrants like the communist Chinese government.

At the same time an ignoramus black basketball star named LeBron James has sided with the communists. James said about Daryl Moreys’ tweet:

“Yes, we do have freedom of speech. But at times, there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you’re not thinking about others, when you only think about yourself.”

“So many people could have been harmed, not only financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually. So just be careful what we tweet and what we say and what we do. Even though yes, we do have freedom of speech, it can be a lot of negative that comes with it.”

Question: What the hell does LeBron James suddenly know about anything? He spent his high-school career playing basketball – and certainly learning nothing – and did not go to college. He went straight from high school to the National Basketball Association.

Answer: He still knows nothing. James doesn’t seem to think that communist China harms anyone, like 1.2 billion people with no human rights, 900 million in poverty and 60 million people murdered by the government of tyrant Mao Tse Tung.

It gets worse. James grew up poor in Akron, Ohio and, lo and behold, when he was given the opportunity to choose a high school he chose a conservative, predominantly-white Catholic school called St. Vincent-St. Mary High School so that he didn’t have to suffer in a lawless black school surrounded by his own race.

So you might think he would be thankful for the conservative white Catholic school giving him the stability and opportunity to succeed as a basketball player.

But no. He has now turned on America in favor of the communists. This is typical of most blacks in the US today. They are selfish and self-absorbed like most of the black players in the NBA… as they live in their mansions and forget what put them there.

James is being savaged in Hong Kong. Associated Press reports:

When the ball smashed into a photo of LeBron James’ face stuck above the hoop and dropped into the basket, the Hong Kong protesters cheered.

They also trampled on jerseys bearing his name and gathered in a semicircle to watch one burn.

James’ standing among basketball fans in Hong Kong took a hit because of comments the NBA star made about free speech. Fans gathered on courts amid Hong Kong’s high-rise buildings Tuesday to vent their anger.

At the same time a leftist basketball coach has slammed America instead of communist China. Breitbart News reported:

During an interview with reporters, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr referenced “America’s record of human rights abuses” and framed those alleged abuses around AR-15s.

Kerr made this statement in response to a question about whether he has been asked about human rights while traveling to China.

Kerr responded, “No,” then added, “Nor has our [America’s] record of human rights abuses come up either. You know, things that our country needs to look at and resolve, that hasn’t come up either. None of us are perfect.”

He said, “People in China didn’t ask me about, you know, people owning AR-15s and mowing each other down in a mall. I wasn’t asked that question.”

So in other words, it is no problem to Kerr that 1.2 billion people in China live mostly in extreme poverty and have no rights whatsoever. That Chinese culture is largely irrelevant to the world in contrast to the United States, which has been the focus of the world’s attentions for centuries… and the source for all that is good like freedom, technology, art, literature, etc. Like a typical leftist, Kerr thinks that America is the big problem in the world.

Ironically Kerr does not seem to be able to explain why millions of illegal immigrants are desperate to come to the United States and are not breaking down the doors to get into communist China.

This just goes to show how money talks. Kerr obviously sees big dollars signs in the Chinese market. He simply ignores the endless flow of dollar signs that have been created for decades by American freedom and capitalism. It is disgusting.

Open-Borders Activist Killed by Illegal Immigrant reported:

A man who criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration policies in the name of progressive Christianity was killed last week by an undocumented immigrant who avoided deportation by hiding in a local “sanctuary church.”

Sean Buchanan, a father of five from Colorado Springs, was driving his motorcycle on Highway 83 when Miguel Ramirez Valiente swerved into his lane and killed him. The immigrant was charged with reckless driving with a revoked license.

Ramirez Valiente received national media coverage in January when he sought sanctuary in All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in Buchanan’s hometown. Speaking from the pulpit, he told assembled reporters that he had fled gang violence in El Salvador in 2005. He said he wanted to stay in the United States to care for his wife and three children even though his asylum application was denied.

Aw, gee, that’s too bad about Sean Buchanan. Perhaps he should have stood more strongly against illegal immigrants and ‘sanctuary cities’.
