The nuts are coming out again this Spring. The leftover remnants from Occupy Wall Street are now planning Arab Spring-type protests for America.
That should frighten us all. Because the real outcome of the Arab Spring has been that national stability in places like Egypt has been upset, fanatics are taking over and those nations are suffering.
And the fanatics in the ‘occupy’ movement – the ones who were involved in shootings and theft and rape and suicide and destruction of property and violence against the police – want to install more extremist elements in our political leadership to reflect their own behavior and beliefs.
They say they are going to protest corporate power, Wall Street greed and the political corruption of the wealthiest Americans in the top One Percent, said the group’s leader, a former White House ‘environmental’ official and avowed communist named Van Jones.
The group will certainly be aided by labor unions and organizations like moveon.org and George Soros.
“We're at a crossroads as a country. In recent years, millions have lost their jobs, homes have been foreclosed, and an unconscionable number of children live in poverty. We have to stand up to the people who caused of all this and confront the rampant greed and deliberate manipulation of our democracy and our economy by a tiny minority in the 1%,” said an e-mail from the group.
Gee, who is the president under whom our economy is failing to recover and so many are suffering?
It is far-left Democrat Obama.
And who are Obama’s biggest supporters?
The Top 1%, the wealthiest Americans who today are largely on the political left.
And under which presidents did we have prosperity for all?
Under Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush and George W. Bush. All Republicans.
So here we go again. Protests, violence, campouts in public parks, defiance of public order and the police, and on and on.
Somehow these ‘occupiers’ did not get the memo from last Autumn – that Americans abhor them and their behavior.
Let’s look at the current situation:
*Who controls the inner cities of America where there is the most poverty and deprivation? Answer: The hard left of the Democrat party whose fanatical followers now want to ‘occupy’ everything all over again.
*Who makes the excessive tax policies that are driving corporations and businesses and jobs from America, which recently became the nation with the highest corporate tax rate in the world after even Japan lowered its rate? Answer: The Democrats, through decades of tax-raising policies at every turn.
*Who is killing jobs and livelihoods for millions in rural America through legal obstruction of every type of project from logging to power plant construction? Answer: The hard-leftists like Van Jones in the environmental movement, which is an integral part of the Democrat party.
*Who is strangling America’s job-creating businesses with more and more mandates and regulations like health care, paid leave etc. Answer: The Democrat party and its endless appetite for intervening in business.
*Who is chasing down businesses all over America and hauling them into court over every perceived wrong, costing business enormous amounts of money and time, and thwarting the creation of new jobs? Answer: The lawsuit-crazy trial lawyers, all of whom are committed Democrats.
*Who has killed millions of jobs and driven entire industries out of business over the last six decades since the end of World War II with outrageous wage demands and absurd work rules? Answer: Labor unions, which are part of the Democrat party coalition.
*What has led to a culture of apathy, dependence and sloth that ultimately creates more poverty? Answer: The Democrat party welfare state that makes people lazy and unwilling to improve themselves. Because when the government subsidizes poor people, you get more of them.
Yet these hard-left ‘occupiers’ now want to protest the current situation that they themselves created.
We should first seek to repeal their policies which are ruining the economy. Because it has been proven over and over and over throughout history that low-tax, low-regulation economies have the most growth, jobs and prosperity for all, something that the Democrat left ignores at every turn.
Remember who the ‘occupiers’ are. They are unproductive extremists. So you would not expect them to create jobs or technologies to improve mankind. No, they only protest and chant and camp out and fight with the police and demand that things improve.
And things won’t improve until their policies are reversed. Economic change to benefit all the people comes when the government first rejects Democrat job-killing policies and allows growth to happen. Even communist China now recognizes that fact and is ridiculing America for its leftward drift into more socialism.
Just look at pictures of these protesters and you understand who they are – ragged, drug-taking, sex-crazy students who are using the streets for their bathrooms. Many of them don’t even work. None of them are seeking to start companies and to employ people.
They all want “jobs”, however.
Yes, indeed, everyone wants a good-paying job. But you have to allow those jobs to be created first.
Should we listen to these new ‘occupiers’?
Of course not. We should run the other way. And make policies based on the opposite of what they say. Which is what we are trying to do when we make conservative pro-growth economic policies that will benefit all Americans.
