Trump Shows Bold Leadership on Chinese Coronavirus

The Chinese coronavirus frenzy is being used by the Fake News media to bludgeon president Trump politically but it also is being exploited by the Democrats to end the primary elections and give them a chance to hide Joe Biden before he makes any more of his monumental gaffes.

Here is Biden speaking at a ‘virtual town hall’ on the internet about coronavirus:

“Providing for the additional funding that would provide for no hidden bills etc,… And I could get it done and I could get it done quickly and people would be covered. But even I can’t do that for another two year, another year, between now and November. Or actually January.”

Yes, Granpa Joe, you would take office in less than one year, next January 20… if you could ever get elected, which you can’t. Biden even wandered off-camera as he was answering a question during the ‘virtual town hall’. It was bizarre.

Fortunately president Trump gave a professional and reassuring press conference about coronavirus on Friday, March 13 that went a long way to soothing frayed nerves. The stock market surged precisely as he spoke, reflecting the power of his positive leadership.

Trump spoke rationally about private-public cooperation to fight the disease; about concrete proposals to address the economic fallout of the virus; and was backed up by professionals in the health field. And this came after he took bold steps to limit travel to and from China back on January 31 along with his new order to halt flights between the US and open-borders Europe which is the new epicenter of coronavirus.

If Hillary Clinton were president she would have spent the whole press conference blaming ‘global warming’ for the Chinese virus. And to show how this works, here is TIME magazine’s Justin Worland reporting:

I have no evidence that climate change triggered this particular virus to jump from animals to humans at this particular time, or that a warmer planet has helped it spread. That said, it’s pretty clear that, broadly speaking, climate change is likely to lead to an uptick in future epidemics caused by viruses and other pathogens.

OK, we get the drift. This hysterical ‘climate’ narrative is going to increase exponentially in the next few weeks. You just watch.

Interestingly Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is truly a professional as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, predicted that the coronavirus crisis could peak within the next 8 weeks, which sounds reasonable. After all, it already seems to have peaked in China and appears to be lessening in intensity. For instance Apple is re-opening all of its stores in China.

Meanwhile the publicity-obsessed Democrat governor of New York Andrew Cuomo predicted that the crisis is going to extend six or nine months. This is a typical tactic of a leftist to hog the spotlight and incite his wacky constituents to go crazy over Trump… again.

At the same time, officials in Seattle are noting that homeless people are acting in reckless ways that could endanger public health and spread the Chinese virus. Thus all of those liberals in Seattle are finally going to face a reckoning for their policies that coddle the homeless. This will repeat in San Francisco and Los Angeles too. It’s going to get ugly.

And just to show how uninformed and confused these international leftist organizations are, look at this from NBC way back on January 23, 2020:

Spread of the new coronavirus that originated in China has not yet reached a level that would deem it a global public health emergency, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Thursday. The virus has sickened more than 600 people, and 25 have died.

“Now is not the time. It’s too early to consider that this event is a public health emergency of international concern,” Didier Houssin, chair of the WHO emergency committee, said during a news conference from Geneva.

Houssin said the decision is based on the limited number of cases worldwide, as well as efforts in China to try to contain the disease.

“Make no mistake, this is an emergency in China,” said WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “But it is not yet a global health emergency.”

Just a week later, WHO officials urged countries to keep their borders open, as Reuters reported:

Borders should be kept open and people and trade flowing in the face of the coronavirus outbreak, although countries have a sovereign right to take measures to try to protect their citizens, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday.

There is a “huge reason to keep official border crossings open” to avoid people entering irregularly and going unchecked for symptoms, WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier told a Geneva briefing.

Can you imagine that? Keep the borders open ‘to avoid people entering irregularly and going unchecked for symptoms’.

What the heck does this mean? This is pure insanity. Since then many countries have closed their borders. And suddenly Trump’s travel ban on China and his crackdown on illegal immigration looks better and better.

As the virus continued to spread, the WHO refused to call it an emergency. Healthcare Finance News reported:

As of Monday, January 27, the coronavirus has killed at least 81 people in China and more than 2,700 others have been infected in more than a dozen countries, including five confirmed cases in the United States, according to CBS News. More than 60 additional people in the U.S. were being tested for the disease, the report said.

In addition, the outbreak has affected stock prices, with the Dow and S&P 500 falling 1.5 and 1.4%, respectively, according to The Wall Street Journal.

WHO reconvened again on Thursday, January 23 to decide whether to declare a public health emergency of international concern over the coronavirus originating in China. Several members considered that it is still too early to declare an emergency. The International Health Regulations Emergency Committee Committee stands ready to be reconvened in approximately ten days, or earlier should the Director-General deem it necessary, WHO said.

And these are the people we’re supposed to trust, and not trust president Trump? thinks that we have a proven leader in our president.
