Joe Biden has picked Democrat US senator Kamala Harris of California as his running mate. Harris will harm Biden’s candidacy in three ways:
*She is a strident, cocky, far leftist who wants open borders, the Green New Deal and government-run health care among other things. She has compared ICE immigration agents to the Ku Klux Klan. She opposes ‘fracking’ and wants to cut funding for police and the US military. She got an “F” rating from the National Rifle Association. This will hurt Biden with independent voters, particularly as Americans are buying guns by the millions.
*She was attorney general in California and was surprisingly tough on crime. This will hurt Biden with far-left Democrat voters who want to let criminals run free, as they are doing in our cities. Blake S. wrote on Afropunk:
(Harris’) track record consists of terrorizing Black communities through the prison industrial complex and she has consistently shown herself to be an enemy to the masses of Black people.
In other ways, she was very soft on crime which is going to upset those independents and even Democrats who fear rising crime in the time of riots.
*Harris is half-Indian (her mother came from India) while her father came from Jamaica. This only makes her half-black, which is going to enrage radical black voters. Harris does not even have American slave blood, which the black radicals consider the fundamental criterion for black officeholders.
Update: Harris’ Jamaican father is a descendant of slave owners.
In addition, Biden is going to win the electoral votes in California anyway, so Harris does not help him to get more votes in a swing state.
Trump: “Do I Seem Rattled?”
Trump is without doubt the most accessible president ever. He will take questions from the media at any time and talk at length whenever he is asked. There are two reasons for this:
First, he is a very confident man. He is willing to express his views because he is sure that they are right and that they work. We have proof of this in his presidency which has been very successful. And if you had a successful business or career you would be willing to talk about it too.
Second, he wants Americans to be informed. He wants to be “transparent”. He does not want Americans to be thinking that the government is hiding anything from them. This is the sign of a true populist who is on the side of ‘We the people’.
Trump is indeed a populist. He wants to take power away from the Deep State government and corporate elites and return it to the people. This is why the Washington snobs like Pelosi and corporate hacks like computer mega-billionaire Bill Gates hate Trump and his supporters.
The president was giving another of his many press briefings on August 10 when he was interrupted by a Secret Service agent who asked him to step away from the podium and go to another room. There had been a shooting near the White House and so the president was whisked away, as is done under protection protocols.
When he returned to the podium a reporter asked him a typical Trump-hater question, “Mr. president, are you rattled?”
Trump replied casually, “Do I seem rattled?”. And he did not seem one bit rattled. He looked perfectly relaxed and continued with his briefing. That was the Trump presidency in a nutshell. No matter how many attacks that his opponents launch on him, the president rarely seems even fazed.
Trump is a very tough man. He knows what he knows and is not afraid to say it,. He does not hide from the media. For instance he does not wear a virus mask in public like all the cowards on the left do. He looks like the picture of health. In contrast Joe Biden looks sickly and is hiding in his house, obviously fearful of the virus since he wears a mask whenever he goes out.
Biden recently was filmed riding a bike and looking vigorous. But he still had the mask. And you can be sure that the whole bicycle event was totally staged and that he quickly returned to his house afterward.
Democrats, socialists and communists hate the kind of confidence, fearlessness and self-assurance that Trump exhibits. The reason is simple – because Democrats, socialists and communists are not confident or self-assured. They are always in a state of uncertainty even when they act like they know everything. It is a deep flaw in their character that makes them that way.
That is how socialism and communism control the people. They know that uncertainty is a trait of humans and they exploit it. It then morphs further and further into doubt and then a loss of confidence, and then fear and self-anger and self-hatred. You can bet your last dollar that people like Obama and Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, who often look confident on the outside, are full of doubt, anger and self-hatred on the inside.
There is a reason for this. Socialists and communists look at history and they see that their ideology has failed miserably. Thus they are deeply hurt inside but must act like they are self-assured and that everything is fine.
We conservatives go the other way. We want people to be confident and self-assured and we want them to get that way by being well-informed. We know that freedom and capitalism have created the most happiness among the most people and that freedom and capitalism require self-confidence and wisdom. And that that self-confidence can then morph into self-satisfaction and happiness and then build on itself to build a strong society.
Trump has that type of inner peace and contentment. And who could blame him. He has built a hugely successful career in business, then in the media, and then he got himself elected president of the United States on his first try.
His success enrages people on the left, particularly in the political classes where they think that a person must spend a lifetime inside the political process “paying their dues” to ever even think about getting elected president. Trump totally skirted this requirement. And he is now shining bright as the leader of the free world and the most famous man in the world.
Leftists are Letting Criminals Run Wild
Many years ago, Nikitas3.com joked with a liberal acquaintance that Democrats have a “pro-crime” agenda. This may have sounded like a joke, but it was not and is not. Democrats often favor criminals over law-abiding citizens.
For instance, urban Democrats have worked hand-in-hand with organized crime in our cities over the last century. Virtually all organized crime figures today are Democrats. In Nikitas3.com’s hometown in Massachusetts, an organized crime family has been one of the most prominent Democrat families in the city.
Today we see our cities being looted and burned as Democrat mayors stand by and watch, even allowing it to happen and even encouraging it. This is a sick mindset that is going to hand the November election to president Trump, who is standing foursquare on the side of law and order.
Starting a few years ago, the communist mega-billionaire George Soros started to pump money into the election of radical district attorneys in cities across the US. There was a reason for this – Soros hates America and wants to destroy it. If he can get these DAs to go soft on crime, then that will cause chaos in the cities. And we see that happening today.
In places like Portland, Oregon and Chicago, far-left DAs are declining to prosecute the criminals who are involved in looting and rioting. This gives the looters free rein to destroy the cities. This ‘soft-on-crime’ agenda extends to all criminals and includes legislation like we saw adopted in New York state eliminating bail payments for most criminals. This puts some very bad people right back on the streets where they often commit more crimes immediately.

Cook County (Chicago, Illinois) State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has dropped over 25,000 felony cases, including charges of murder and the alleged hate crime hoax from former Empire star Jussie Smollett, according to an analysis released by the Chicago Tribune on Monday.
The Chicago Tribune reported:
During Foxx’s first three years as the county’s top prosecutor, her office dropped all charges against 29.9% of felony defendants, a dramatic increase over her predecessor, the Tribune found. For the last three years of Anita Alvarez’s tenure, the rate was 19.4%.
In all, a total of 25,183 people had their felony cases dismissed under Foxx through November 2019, up from 18,694 for a similar period under Alvarez.
For the three-year period analyzed, Foxx’s office dropped 8.1% of homicide cases, compared with 5.3% under Alvarez, the Tribune found. Under Foxx, the office dropped 9.5% of felony sex crime cases; the rate was 6.5% for Alvarez.
OK, so it is plain to see that Foxx and others like her are doing great damage to the cities. In New York City, for instance, rising crime rates are leading to a mass exodus of city residents, including many of the very wealthy residents who pay a lion’s share of the city’s taxes. President Trump moved his official residence to Florida in 2019 after spending his life living and working in New York.
Peter Hasson at The Daily Caller reported on a few of these criminal-coddling DAs. Here are excerpts from the Hasson article with a Nikitas3.com comment after each excerpt:
Hasson writes: Foxx announced in December 2016, shortly before taking office, that her office wouldn’t charge shoplifters with felonies unless they either had more than 10 previous felony convictions or if they stole more than $1,000 worth of goods, which was more than triple the previous felony threshold of $300.
Storeowners blamed Foxx’s policy in December 2019 for what they said was a string of brazen thefts targeting their businesses.
Nikitas3.com comment: Even going down to lesser crimes like shoplifting, this leniency causes problems that the public does not see but that affects the quality of life in the cities from the bottom up. This slowly degrades the city from the bottom up.
Hasson writes: Suffolk County, Massachusetts, District Attorney Rachael Rollins, whose jurisdiction includes the city of Boston, campaigned in 2018 on a list of 15 crimes that her office wouldn’t prosecute as a matter of policy. Among them: trespassing, wanton or malicious destruction of property, shoplifting and larceny under $250.
Nikitas3.com comment: Yeah, sure. It starts with the small stuff and works its way up. Don’t be fooled. Destruction of property is not a small crime.
Hasson writes: Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is a former defense attorney who had never prosecuted a case before becoming Philadelphia’s top prosecutor. Soros put $1.45 million into a super PAC that backed Krasner in the Democratic primary in May 2017, allowing him to sail to an easy victory.
Krasner diverted a significant number of gun-related charges away from prosecution and into rehabilitative programs in his first year in office, The Trace reported in January.
Krasner diverted seven times as many charges of illegal gun possession over his first year as his Democratic predecessors had in the previous two years combined, The Trace reported. In April, the city’s mayor and police commissioner called on Krasner to be more aggressive in prosecuting gun crimes amid a spike in violence.
Nikitas3.com comment: Leftists blame crime on guns but then they go easy on criminals using guns. Fact: Crime is perpetrated by criminals, not guns. And these criminals using guns should be heavily penalized. Using an instrument of freedom – a gun – to commit a crime is inexcusable.
Hasson writes: San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin pledged during his campaign that certain quality-of-life crimes, including public urination, would “not be prosecuted” by his office.
Boudin’s parents were members of the Weather Underground terrorist group. He was raised by the group’s leaders after his parents went to prison on murder charges.
Nikitas3.com comment: Oh, gee, the child of terrorists. Is that a good candidate to be district attorney? Well, if you want to blow up the city, it is.
Hasson writes: “We will not prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes. Crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc., should not and will not be prosecuted,” Boudin promised in response to an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire.
Nikitas3.com comment: There are horrible conditions festering in places like San Francisco, Seattle and Austin with public camping. These cities are overrun with tents and homeless people camping out anywhere they please, including near and in residential areas. Yet the idea of public camping sounds innocuous, and that is on purpose; it should be called ‘vagrancy’. The term ‘public camping’ is supposed to soften the blow of these “minor” crimes that eventually lead to major and permanent public nuisances.
Hasson writes: Boudin ignited a feud with the city’s police union soon after taking office in January by withdrawing charges against a man who was shot by officers after allegedly trying to attack them with a bottle, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Boudin announced in February that his office would no longer prosecute contraband charges that originated as minor traffic infractions. He also pledged to stop using gang affiliation status in sentencing enhancements.
In March, Boudin withdrew charges against a 20-year-old man allegedly involved in an attack on an elderly man that went viral on social media, the Chronicle reported, noting that the suspect was already on probation for battery at the time of the attack.
Nikitas3.com comment: Already on probation… Gee, maybe he should be in jail. But not in San Fransicko.
Hasson writes: While the rates of some crimes in San Francisco… have decreased this year, others have seen significant increases. Compared to the same time period last year, homicides in the city are up 25%, burglary is up 42%, motor vehicle theft is up 31% and arson is up 45%, according to SFPD data.
Nikitas3.com comment: Shocking but expected as decent people are driven away from the cities by increasing crime.
Hasson writes: Dallas County (Texas) District Attorney John Creuzot won his seat in 2019 with the help of Soros cash, he acknowledged in a November 2019 interview with D Magazine following his victory.
“Yes, I did,” he said, when asked if his campaign received national funding. “Through Soros.”
Murders in Dallas reached the highest levels in over a decade last year and are on pace to remain at similarly high levels this year as well, the Dallas Morning News’s editorial board noted in an Aug. 6 column.
“In his short tenure, Creuzot has lost or dropped 20% more felony cases than his predecessors and attained a significantly lower conviction rate for violent and serious crimes as well,” the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund’s report found.
