I recently saw a ‘poor person’ scratching off a lottery ticket.
This is classic socialism: First the Democrats get jobs and political power giving away our tax dollars to ‘poor people’. Then some of those poor people use our tax dollars to buy useless lottery tickets, returning more money to the government so as to empower the Democrats further.
Thus in this case and in millions of other cases Nikitas3.com says: I am sick and tired of hearing about “the poor”. So what if some people are poor. Many people should be poor. They are lazy, ignorant, malicious and have zero ambition.
But rest assured that I put ‘the poor’ into two different categories:
*The working poor or those who have lost their jobs under Obama or those who want to work are generally decent people who should have jobs and who deserve some assistance. This includes millions in rural America where life has always been hard. But now modern-day environmentalism, allied with the Democrat left, is ruining rural American economies with challenges to development everywhere, making rural people poorer.
*The long-term, idle handout poor is a group made up largely of the black urban underclass that has been nurtured for decades by the Democrats. This also includes a huge disability fraud class of many millions, including more and more whites. Their handouts need to be reduced significantly or cut off, and these people need to work for a living.
Nikitas3.com has suggested that ‘pedaling centers’ be set up all across America where the idle poor will be required to pedal stationary exercise bicycles that spin electrical generators to create electricity. That would put them to work producing a valuable resource in exchange for any handout.
It is crucial to remember that it is the Democrats who have impoverished tens of millions of people in the first place in 4 crucial ways:
1) Obama/Democrat policies always create a bad economic environment. Excessive taxes, regulations and enviro laws, along with labor union agitation and relentless legal challenges to business by trial lawyers have all combined to cost our economy dearly.
2) Our cities are controlled with an iron hand by the Democrats. And these cities are so full of corruption and bureaucracy that businesses are very difficult to start and maintain, particularly in poor neighborhoods. So there is less and less opportunity for the urban poor to improve themselves. In most cases there is no opportunity at all.
Meanwhile the Democrats tell those poor people that the deck is stacked against them. But that deck in fact is stacked largely by the Democrats themselves.
How many of the urban underclass would even dare to seek to start their own business even if it is a simple retail store?
Zero. The paperwork is unbelievable in these cities and then there is the crime and the cost of doing business, with taxes and regulations and payoffs everywhere for corrupt Democrat politicians.
3) In rural America the environmentalists/Democrats have done everything they can to make a tough situation worse. In rural Oregon, for instance, in the 1990s the phony ‘spotted owl’ controversy led to the loss of 30,000 logging jobs(!) and many more associated jobs in related industries and in rural towns, in stores, gas stations etc.
Those jobs went straight to the forests of Canada. In other words the Democrats/environmentalists once again caused jobs to go to foreign nations. Multiply this Oregon example by 50 states and you have millions put out of work by modern-day environmentalism.
4) Our horrible public schools are controlled without challenge by Democrat teacher unions. These schools have left tens of millions of people unprepared to contribute to society as the unions get richer and richer and kick back more and more of their money to the Democrat party.
So indeed the Democrats first make people poor all over America and then they put those people on the government dole and keep them there. Forever if possible. This is classic socialism.
Many poor people certainly would work if offered the opportunity. That is why we must reinvigorate our economy and offer opportunity by restoring capitalistic principles that keep the liberals at bay. And we must offer those working poor some aid where necessary.
But the Democrats don’t want opportunity. They control people through total dependence and government handouts, and those people usually then vote Democrat in exchange for those handouts.
And through decades of this system the Democrats have built for themselves political power and a huge welfare state with tens of millions of people idle for years or decades at a time, paying no taxes and contributing to the downfall of the American economy through debt.
This is unsustainable. But the Democrats do not care. That is why they continue these handouts which actually nourish the underclass and create more and more poor people. Generous handouts are like sprinkling fertilizer on the poor.
This is why we have more poor people in America than ever after decades of increasing handouts. Because the liberals have created a system under which we are cultivating poverty, not addressing it. And this result – of course – is the complete opposite of what the Democrats said would happen.
The best way to address much of this poverty and its consequent government debt is to create jobs for poor people and let them take care of themselves. And those that refuse to care for themselves need to be cut off from the dole. Let them suffer.
Today tens of millions of the idle, handout poor get for free food, clothing shelter, medical care and education and even frills like air conditioning, cable TV, cell phones and every other convenience. Many of them are cigarette smokers and today they often even have pets. So what incentive is there for them to work?
There is none.
Yet a shrinking number of taxpayers are paying more and more for the underclass to live well when even the working poor often cannot afford what the idle poor have.
This is all a travesty.
Still Democrats have told us for decades that we need to have a socialistic welfare state “like Europe”. Yet the most far-left nations in Europe today, Greece, Italy and Spain, have the worst economies of all and are in severe crisis. In fact most of Europe is in severe economic stasis and crisis and has been for many years, even decades.
But no, we have been told by the liberal left that if we adopt high taxes, build a huge bureaucracy, create a welfare state, have national health insurance, give everyone early retirement and cut our military spending – as Europe has done all of this – that we will have utopia.
Yet Europe itself is sinking into the abyss. Why? Where is utopia?
It is all a lie. And now America is sinking too. All because of socialism and its debt. You know, the system that “takes care of” everybody including “the poor”.
Nonsense…
Today it is being reported that out of the 150 million people who are getting paychecks in the American workforce that 80 million are paying zero federal taxes. This is because they take every deduction or don’t make enough money.
This is not sustainable. Everyone needs to pay federal taxes including poor people, even if only a small amount, perhaps 1% or 2% of their gross income. Thus someone who earns $10,000 a year could pay at least $200 in federal taxes (2%).
Why?
Because it will create a more responsible society. Because it is about the money – the idea that everyone must contribute – but more significantly it is about a very simple principle – that everyone must contribute.
Because when people pay taxes then they have a stake in the operations of our government. Otherwise they will simply vote for more federal spending because they are not paying anything for it. And this is how the Democrats stay in power and impoverish more and more people.
