First, here is a sad story about today’s America:
Poor Homeless Soul in California
I talked with a homeless man this morning and asked him how he ended up this way.
He said, “Up until last week, I still had it all.
I had plenty to eat, my clothes were washed and pressed,
I had a roof over my head,
I had HDTV and Internet, and I went to the gym, the pool, and the library.
I was working on my MBA on-line.
I had no bills and no debt.
I even had full medical benefits coverage.”
I felt sorry for him, so I asked, “What happened? Drugs? Alcohol? Divorce?”
“Oh no, nothing like that,” he replied. “Because of the China virus, I was unexpectedly paroled from jail”.
Biden Policies Hammer US Workers, Favor Muslim Terrorists
Executive orders signed by fake president Biden, who won a stolen election, already are harming American workers. Tens of thousands of workers are being laid off and otherwise adversely affected by Biden shutting down construction on the Mexican border wall and on the Keystone pipeline. Hundreds of thousands more will be affected in the future by his shutdown of oil and natural gas drilling on federal lands.
At the same time, The New York Post reported another punch in the face for Americans from Biden:
… chances are accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will get the COVID vaccine before you do.
Accused terror masterminds like KSM and other detainees at Guantanamo Bay will begin receiving the coronavirus vaccine, the Pentagon confirmed Friday, even as the United States continues to experience severe shortages of the miracle jab.
A spokesman for the Department of Defense confirmed that officials had signed an order which will see COVID-19 vaccinations “offered to all detainees and prisoners.”
The shots could be given as soon as next week.
“It will be administered on a voluntary basis and in accordance with the Department’s priority distribution plan,” spokesman Michael Howard told The Post.
So there you go. This is beyond disgusting. Democrats have decided to go all-in on hatred of America, and to be open and proud about it. Period. End of sentence. And as a result, Democrats will be routed in the mid-term 2022 elections. You just watch. Americans are finding out what these leftists are really about. Americans are already pining to have Trump back.
Meanwhile Republicans are standing up for Americans. The Epoch Times reports about Biden’s assault on the oil, coal and natural gas industries:
More than two dozen Republican senators are calling for a meeting with President Joe Biden to discuss the new administration’s recent executive orders and regulatory actions, which they worry could have devastating effects on American families whose livelihood is tied to the domestic energy sector.
In a letter to Biden, 26 senators from states where economic growth and employment heavily rely on the oil and gas industry, wrote that they were “surprised” by the president’s actions that could put “hundreds of thousands of” energy jobs in their states at risk.
“Your actions will have grave consequences for our constituents, and taking these actions on your very first week as President, with no input from those of us who represent these hard working Americans is counter to the desires of the American people who want practical, bipartisan solutions to our nation’s challenges, and who want policies that support working families,” the letter reads.
The senators, including Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who chairs Senate’s energy committee, particularly took issue with the decision to scrap the $8 billion Keystone XL pipeline project, part of the Biden administration’s effort to address climate change. If built as planned, the 1,200-mile pipeline would have delivered more than 830,000 barrels of oil each day from Alberta, Canada, to Southeastern Nebraska.
President Donald Trump restarted the Keystone project almost 4 years ago via an executive order. He said at the time that he expected the pipeline to create 28,000 construction jobs.
The senators also voiced opposition to the suspension on oil and gas activity in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), one of the first actions Biden took as president. The 19 million-acre ANWR, estimated to contain some 11 billion barrels of oil, was reopened for drilling during the Trump administration to fund a multi-billion dollar tax cut program.
Friends, this is part of the ongoing assault on the American economy from the ‘greenie’ left that started 50 years ago on the first ‘earth day’ in 1970. Fortunately The Epoch Times reported that there is going to be pushback:
Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday vowed to oppose what he called the Biden administration’s bid to destroy jobs with its volley of actions targeting the oil and gas industry.
Abbott signed an executive order during a press conference in Odessa on Thursday, which directed all state agencies to sue the Biden administration for any federal actions that threaten the Lone Star state’s energy sector.
“Texas is going to protect the oil and gas industry from any type of hostile attack launched from Washington D.C.,” Abbott said. “President Biden’s embrace of the green new deal is a job killer in Texas. It also takes a wrecking ball to the energy independence that Texas has been able to provide to the United States of America and Texas is not going to stand idly by and watch the Biden administration kill jobs in Midland, in Odessa or any other place across the entire region,” he added.
Abbott’s order came on the heels of a series of executive actions taken by President Joe Biden in the name of fighting “climate change.” These include the decision to revoke authorization for the Keystone pipeline, the decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, and a moratorium on issuing new oil and gas leases on federal land and waters.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday criticized the Biden administration’s actions on energy policy that he collectively dubbed a “piecemeal green new deal.”
“There’s nothing green about a tsunami of pink slips for American workers, or carting Canadian crude around in trucks and trains instead of a pipeline,” McConnell said on the Senate floor. “This piecemeal green new deal is the wrong prescription: wrong for the environment, wrong for national security, and most of all for the working Americans who will soon be formerly working Americans if this keeps up.”
“Wilfully throwing our own people out of work, reducing our domestic energy security, raising costs and prices for working families—all for no meaningful impact on global temperatures,” McConnell added.
But the ‘greenies’ are moving forward without hesitation. The Washington Post reported:
General Motors has pledged to stop making gasoline-powered passenger cars, vans and sport utility vehicles by 2035, marking a historic turning point for the iconic American carmaker and promising a future of new electric vehicles for American motorists.
GM chief executive Mary Barra, who antagonized many climate experts by embracing President Donald Trump’s relaxation of fuel efficiency targets, said Thursday the company now wants to lead the way to a greener future.
“As one of the world’s largest automakers, we hope to set an example of responsible leadership in a world that is faced with climate change,” Barra said on LinkedIn.
GM has said it would invest $27 billion in electric vehicles and associated products between 2020 and 2025, outstripping its spending on conventional gasoline and diesel vehicles. That figure includes refurbishing factories and investing in battery production in conjunction with LG Chem, a South Korean battery maker.
If you are not prepared for this, you had better get ready. An electric vehicle (EV) the size of a Toyota Corolla costs $40,000. An EV like a Toyota Camry costs $50,000 or more. We will all pay twice as much for the Corolla and Camry to get the same size car.
Electric vehicles can lose half of their battery power in frigid weather. Are you ready for that? It takes 8 hours to charge your EV at home overnight, and more than one hour to re-charge a small EV at a “super charger” station by the side of the highway. And two hours for a pickup or big SUV. Are you ready for that?
There is going to be another devastating side effect. Used cars with gasoline engines are going to either be outlawed or prices will go through the roof as Americans bid up prices for gasoline cars to avoid the expensive new electric vehicles. This is going to be ruinous to anyone who cannot afford an electric car, i.e., most of us.
We are being railroaded into a ‘green’ nightmare. They are taking anything that works like oil, coal, nuclear, natural gas and the internal combustion engine and replacing it with things that don’t work like solar panels and electric cars.
Nikitas3.com drove past a mountain today with six windmills on top. Two of them were not operating. That is one-third of the windmills that were not operating. Why not? If we shut down one-third of our power plants, our economy would collapse overnight. Yet the ‘greenies’ keep telling us to put up windmills and shut down coal and nuclear plants.
They want us to get our power from solar panels. Yet we are supposed to charge up our electric cars at night, while we know that solar panels produce no energy at night.
Just to show how crazy these ‘greenies’ are, the country of Morocco recently completed a high-speed rail line between its two biggest cities, Tangier and Casablanca. ‘Greenies’ love these trains and are promoting them all over the world. The line is only 201 miles long and it cost 2% of the country’s annual GDP ($2.5 billion cost out of $118 billion annual GDP). Nikitas.com calculates that if you built a similar line in the US and spent the same proportion of money, that a high-speed line connecting New York and Washington (237 miles) would cost $450 billion.
These people are insane and they are directing our economy toward disaster. And Biden is doing it by using executive orders like a dictator like no other president has ever done. Fox News reported:
President Biden has signed more than three dozen executive orders, actions and directives since he took office just 9 days ago — with Biden officials telling Fox News that the moves are “previews” of the agenda items the president will push in Congress as Republicans rail against the record-making flurry of orders.
Just hours after he took the oath of office last Wednesday, Biden immediately took 17 executive actions—ranging from reversing former President Trump’s policies to restoring Obama-era programs, the coronavirus pandemic and more.
Since then, Biden has taken nearly two dozen additional actions— focused on environmental regulations, the climate crisis, immigration policies, racial justice, healthcare and more.
Biden, by the end of his ninth day at the White House, had signed 40 executive orders, actions, and presidential memorandum — a record.
Biden has taken heat from critics over his early reliance on executive action, with Republicans saying it betrays his vow to work with Congress on to build a consensus on issues.
“As recently as October, now-President Biden said ‘you can’t [legislate] by executive action unless you’re a dictator,’” Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell said on the Senate floor Thursday. “In one week, he’s signed more than 30 unilateral actions. And working Americans are getting short shrift.”
But a Biden White House ally told Fox News that the president’s actions are just a taste of what is to come.
“The executive actions are previews, and happening in parallel, to what he is pushing in Congress,” the source told Fox News. “These are the things he can do instantly, but show what he is going to pursue, and in some cases, already is pursuing, in Congress.”
These Democrats are frightening people. They will destroy all of us, including ‘the poor’ whom they claim to care about.
Meanwhile Democrats want to permanently impose mail-in voting, which was shown in 2020 to be prone to massive fraud. The Epoch Times reported:
Democrat lawmakers on Thursday introduced a bill dubbed the “Vote at Home Act,” which seeks to “massively expand vote-at-home ballot access,” enacting automatic voter registration and providing voters with pre-paid ballot envelopes.
The initiative stands in contrast to a bill introduced by Republicans several weeks ago, which seeks to tighten voter registration verifications and narrow rules for when and how mail-in ballots can be accepted, in a bid to strengthen the integrity of federal elections.
The Democrat lawmakers said the introduction of the bill was encouraged by what they described as “the successful expansion of voting at home and by mail in the November 2020 election,” in which almost 50 percent of voters cast ballots by mail, a record high in federal races.
