"It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices…"
This quote comes from John Roberts apparently explaining the reason that he, as a Supreme Court justice, rationalized the constitutionality of the ObamaCare legislation by calling the penalty for not buying health insurance “a tax”.
Of course we all know that it clearly is not the role of a Supreme Court justice to serve the will of the voter. It is his/her role to serve the will of the Constitution.
But here is a Supreme Court (chief) justice seeking to “explain” or “defend” his decision. This is shocking. This should never happen.
Why did it happen?
Because in fact Roberts knows that his pro-ObamaCare vote served not a constitutional end but a political end – to find a way to satisfy the multiculturalist Democrats who support nationalized health care.
“Conservative chief justice” Roberts is believed to have switched his position to pro-ObamaCare shortly before the decision came out, much to the outrage of conservatives. We will never know what Roberts’ rationale was but it appears to very likely have been a result of the political pressure applied every minute of every day by the Democrat left and its media allies.
In other words a ‘conservative white male judge’ was intimidated by multiculturalist Democrats into finding a way to legitimize the biggest government program ever because it is ostensibly intended to help ‘minorities’.
Thus Roberts indeed may very well have been influenced by the words of associate Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor who said in 2001 in a speech that she would “hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male (judge) who hasn’t lived that life.” This comes on top of decades of relentless media assaults on conservatives and white people.
Roberts’ reasoning in calling the penalty “a tax” was perhaps the biggest stretch of logic in the history of the Court. And now his decision in favor of ObamaCare in fact will end up directly serving the “political choices” of millions of voters – those who want nationalized health care.
But Roberts really contradicted himself. Because in fact his decision will have the effect of “protecting” millions of people who favor ObamaCare from the consequences of legally-elected officials legitimately taking this case to the Supreme Court and asking for a constitutional decision, not a political one.
This is the way that socialism insistently insinuates itself into all societies – through stealth, through the manipulation of language and law and through political pressure, but not through Constitutional and legal propriety, common sense, the public will or the ballot box. Because one judge like Roberts can negate or affirm whatever is on the agenda, no matter how it got there.
Of course when Roberts said that "It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their poitical choices" that not only is an obvious truth but it is a complete feint. Because ObamaCare was not the result of “political choices” in the first place. ObamaCare would not even exist if it had not been for three electoral frauds to begin with.
The reason that ObamaCare passed in the first place is because Democrats had 60 US senators at the time of passage in March 2010. This “supermajority” (60 out of 100 senators) allows a party to pass its agenda at will. It involves a process called “cloture”.
Why did Democrats have 60 US senators?
Because in three (*) instances since 2002 there were fraudulent US Senate races that all typically went Democrat and gave the Democrats 60 US senators.
*In Minnesota in 2008 Republican US senator Norm Coleman lost his re-election bid when his Democrat challenger Al Franken came out ahead in the vote count by 312 votes out of 2.88 million cast. This came after a long challenge on both sides and after foxnews.com reported that:
The six-month election recount that turned …Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.
That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.
This, of course, comes on top of all the other Democrat fraud that exists in huge quantities in every election (dead people voting, ACORN fraud, illegal aliens voting, vote buying, no IDs required to vote etc.) and includes ballots magically “found” in favor of Franken.
Because there are always Democrats in every congressional district or city who are willing to risk going to jail for mysteriously “finding” faked Democrat ballots in very close elections. It is a common occurrence, particularly in American cities.
Since the initial counting of ballots on Election Day, caches of new Al Franken ballots have been mysteriously discovered on a regular basis. Yesterday, a few more turned up.
*In 2002 Democrat US senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota defeated his Republican challenger by only 532 votes in a very close race that involved voter fraud on some of the state’s heavily-Democrat Indian reservations. Johnson was re-elected in 2008.
From foxnews.com, October 16, 2002, several weeks before the election:
Federal officials confirm that a vote fraud investigation is unfolding on Indian reservations in South Dakota, home of one of the tightest U.S. Senate races in the nation.
Federal officials in Washington told Fox News that so far, the alleged fraud is said to have occurred on the Cheyenne River Reservation and the Pine River Reservation, and an investigation has been ongoing in six counties, including Dewey, Ziebach and Fall River.
According to officials, the FBI has uncovered the registration of minors, dead people, and people who do not exist. Many of the registrations have included bogus names and invalid addresses.
*Republican US senator Ted Stevens of Alaska, who was seeking re-election in 2008, is described this way on wikipedia.org:
In 2008, Stevens was embroiled in a federal corruption trial as he ran for re-election to the Senate. He was found guilty, and eight days later was narrowly defeated at the polls. However, prior to sentencing, the indictment was dismissed—effectively vacating the conviction—when a Justice Department probe found evidence of gross prosecutorial misconduct.
Thus a political witch hunt against Stevens and then a guilty verdict from a liberal Washington, DC jury cost Stevens his Senate seat and his opponent, Democrat Mark Begich, was yet another vote on the way to 60 for the Democrats.
If any one of these three elections had been legitimate and had gone Republican, ObamaCare never would have become law.
Then ObamaCare was rationalized by a Supreme Court chief justice who made the most marginal type of decision, very probably under political pressure, and then, on top of that, who seemed to be deciding for political purposes.
Wow…. This, friends, is how the Democrats impose their agenda – by going around the Constitution, around the ballot box and around common sense.
On another front US attorney general Eric Holder has been found in contempt of Congress for his stonewalling on the Fast & Furious gun-walking operation.
The 255-67 vote yesterday, which made Holder the first Cabinet member ever held in contempt by either chamber of Congress, follows steady Republican criticism of the nation’s top law enforcement officer. More than 100 Republican lawmakers have called for Holder’s resignation over his handling of Fast and Furious, terrorism and other matters. Many Democrats didn’t vote and walked off the House floor in protest.
This is historic. And this Obama administration is so crooked as to be almost unbelievable.
Except that it is just another day at the office for Democrats. Then America gets stuck with their legislation and with the horrible decisions of our so-called attorney general.
Fortunately both ObamaCare and the Holder contempt citation are going to weigh heavily on Obama’s re-election prospects and will bring him down.
Unless the Democrats manage to pull off a massive and unprecedented voter fraud next November. Which is why Holder’s Justice Department has tried to stop Florida from purging illegal aliens and other ineligibles from the voter rolls.
So don’t count out more fraud. It is a way of life for Democrats. It’s how they rule, friends.
