We have all heard the expression, “Guns don’t kill; people kill other people using guns.” And it is true. Never has a gun pointed itself, discharged itself and killed a person.
Now we have seen once again what the real expression should be: “Guns don’t kill; Hollywood violence does. And Democrats do.”
Because once again we have a case in Aurora, Colorado where a lunatic, acting out another violent Hollywood movie, has taken too many lives to bear.
First look at these appraisals of the shooter James Holmes from the Los Angeles Times website:
A former high school classmate, Keith Goodwin, 24, now a Columbia Law School student, said he had a couple of conversations with Holmes during an AP European history class at Westview. He called Holmes a "generally pleasant guy."
"James was certainly not someone I would have ever imagined shooting somebody," Goodwin said.
Tori Burton, 24, now a fellow with the National Institutes of Health, said Holmes was part of Westview's cross-country team for at least one year.
"He was very quiet," she said. "He was a nice guy when you did occasionally talk to him. But he was definitely more introverted."
Dan Kim, a 23-year-old student at UC San Diego, called the suspect a "super-nice kid," "kinda quiet" and "really smart."
Kim said Holmes took multiple AP classes and had an academically inclined circle of about five to 10 friends.
"He didn't seem like a troublemaker at all," Kim said. "He just seemed like he wanted to get in and out, and go to college."
…Kelly Huffman, an assistant professor of psychology at UC Riverside, said Holmes was in her Drugs and Behavior class in 2010 and did well in what she said was a challenging course. She described him as “a smart and quiet guy.”
Here’s an excerpt from CBS4 in Colorado:
One high school friend said Holmes always rooted for the “bad guys” in superhero movies, which he found odd.
Oh, sure. The usual. Another nice guy gone bad.
So what is going on here?
Well, friends, America was once a nice nation back before the malignant pigs in Hollywood, all on the radical Democrat left, started to insert violence into everything we see. You know, all the “pacifists” who love Obama and want gun control?
Yet they never practice gun control in their own movies, which they could easily do without one single objection or one single piece of legislation.
But they won’t. Violence is everywhere. Because these entertainment-industry thugs are radical leftists who are out to do two things – to enrich themselves on violence and, at the same time, to destroy America with a steady diet of guns, shooting, murder and mayhem.
Have you noticed all the violence in our nation recently? Students killing other students, adults murdering children, a jogger murdered out of the blue, a grandmother killing her grandson?
This is much, much worse and much more random than when some of us grew up in the 1950s and 1960s. When we were in kindergarten some of us used to walk to school alone.
Why is all this violence happening today?
Because America no longer is the nation it was in the 1950s. Because back then it was a much more conservative and more strongly Christian nation, with vastly higher moral standards and with strong families run by confident fathers. Even black America had vastly lower rates of criminality despite the lack of ‘civil rights’.
Yet the liberals tell us over and over how awful America was back then. And look at what we have now that they themselves are influencing our culture more than ever, all starting in the 1960s.
Indeed now that Christianity is being pushed aside, nuclear families are the minority and strong fathers are made out to be ogres and bandits, we have more and more social decay, poverty and violence precisely as Hollywood feeds us more and more violence.
Remember Hinckley, the one who shot president Ronald Reagan in 1981?
He had been influenced by the violent Martin Scorcese movie Taxi Driver. Yet Scorcese, who specializes in violent movies, is repetitively called a genius and is a huge Hollywood liberal.
How about the Columbine killers of 1999? They were acting out another violent movie called Natural Born Killers by big-time Hollywood Democrat Oliver Stone.
Thus we have all these fake “pacifists” heading up our violent media but fewer and fewer Christian churches to go to every Sunday telling us to love thy neighbor…
Here is a quote from CBS4:
After apparently speaking with law enforcement in Colorado, New York’s Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said when police apprehended Holmes, “He clearly looked like a deranged individual. He had his hair painted red. He said he was “The Joker,” obviously quote “the enemy” of Batman.”
Yes, hair painted red. Uh-huh, part of the leftist persona with tattoos, piercings, body alterations, tattered clothing, dark thoughts, hatred of authority, atheism, rooting for the bad guy, dissolution, drugs and love of rock music with all its references to violence and chaos, all warned against by us conservatives and all intended to extinguish the person’s decent human identity and to replace it with a beast capable of extreme acts of cruelty.
And nobody in that theater was legally carrying a weapon that could have been used to kill Holmes. Boy, those gun control laws are sure working well!
Oh, sure…
Remember the Virginia Tech killings of 2007?
Yes, and Virginia Tech was officially a “gun free zone”!
In fact the reason that the Virginia Tech killer was able to buy the gun he used was because a weakling judge did not allow Cho Seung-Hui’s mental instability to be entered onto the public record, which would have barred him from buying a gun.
Meanwhile gun-rights advocates favor laws that bar crazy people from buying guns. And gun-rights advocates want criminals prosecuted vigorously for using firearms for criminal activity. But you can rest assured that some liberal lawyer will seek to defend Holmes, like they usually do, so that he can turn the trial into a public forum and seek to blame the violence on – pick one – America, the National Rifle Association, Mitt Romney, the Tea Party, Thomas Jefferson, Sarah Palin, the Constitution etc.
Did you know that the congressional districts that most strongly support Obama have the highest gun-violence and murder rates? In fact Obama’s hometown of Chicago has the strictest gun control laws in the nation and it is Murder City…
Fact is that few of the good citizens of Chicago have guns, but all the bad people do. So there is nobody to strike back at the barbarians. And remember that Chicago police do not “prevent crimes”. They almost always show up after the crime has been committed.
In other words we gun-rights proponents are correct twice. First we say rightly that “Guns don’t kill; people kill other people using guns.”
And we know we are right when we add that, “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”
