NSA Spying is Unacceptable, Impeachable

This National Security Agency domestic surveillance scandal is out of control. And if George Bush or any other Republican were president the Liberal Media, ACLU and the Democrats would be seeking impeachment. But as expected they are going easy since Obama is doing the spying. Here are just a few examples of how serious this is. Thehill.com, a website that covers Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, reported:

National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden on Thursday disputed Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-Calif.) claim that the government's phone record collection program is not "surveillance."

"Today, no telephone in America makes a call without leaving a record with the NSA. Today, no Internet transaction enters or leaves America without passing through the NSA's hands," Snowden said in a statement Thursday.  "Our representatives in Congress tell us this is not surveillance. They're wrong." (end of thehill.com excerpt)

Feinstein is a typical Democrat, a vocal civil libertarian and left-wing “privacy” partisan. But when the Obama administration destroys our privacy and our rights to remain free from government intrusion she defends it and faces scant criticism in the media.

Remember that the same media and Democrats went totally bonkers over the Bush-era “warrantless wiretap” program under which national security agents were charged with tapping without a warrant a tiny number of phone calls to suspected terrorists overseas.

But in that case federal agents were targeting security efforts directly at potential terrorist connections. Yet now the same leftists are strangely silent as NSA surveilles every phone call and internet message under Obama.

Do you see the double standard? What does this sound like?

It sounds like our politically-correct airport security system where every single flyer is scrutinized instead of focusing on people most likely to commit an act of terror like young Middle Eastern males who could be picked out of an airport crowd for suspicious behavior or histories.

But if you target the young Middle Eastern males that would be illegal “profiling” to the Democrats and so security officials are required to scrutinize everyone equally out of “fairness”. But we all know that this system has become blatantly UNfair in that it actually has ended up intentionally profiling and harassing the wrong people like a caucasian grandmother from Kansas who gets an intrusive search so that the system appears unbiased. Meanwhile a Muslim preacher in bulky garb breezes through the checkpoint so that he will not be “offended” by being searched.

The Democrat/Obama approach makes us much less safe. NSA surveillance is drawing our security apparatus and security dollars away from vastly more suspicious targets.

But this is Obama’s upside down Muslim-friendly America and this is why we continue to have terrorist incidents like the Boston Marathon bombing. Meanwhile ft.com, the website of the Financial Times, the international newspaper, reported (italicized for emphasis):

European leaders denounced US spying practices on Thursday, with Angela Merkel, German chancellor, suggesting the EU needed a new data protection agreement with Washington following allegations US intelligence agencies tapped her personal mobile phone.

A classified document provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden and reported on Thursday in the Guardian suggested the monitoring or world leaders was widespread.

The newspaper said the NSA monitored the phone conversations of 35 world leaders after being given the numbers by an official in an unnamed US government department.

The Guardian cited a confidential memo indicating that the NSA encouraged government officials to share numbers in their “Rolodexes” so the agency could monitor foreign politicians. (end of ft.com excerpt)

Since when do we spy on our allies? We are at peace with our allies. We are not threatened by Europe. A new report even says that Obama personally approved the tap on Merkel.

Then again we are not threatened by 99.999% of Americans living their daily lives. Yet all of our communications are being reported to NSA. This tells us that the Obama government is usurping our freedoms and at the same time wasting vast amounts of time, energy, labor and taxpayer money monitoring the wrong people. This is classic socialism. And this is why we continue to have attacks; because we are ignoring known terrorists like the radical Fort Hood killer while scrutinizing 310 million law-abiding Americans who pose no threat. Now here is a disturbing excerpt from dailycaller.com:

A veteran Washington D.C. investigative journalist says the Department of Homeland Security confiscated a stack of her confidential files during a raid of her home in August — leading her to fear that a number of her sources inside the federal government have now been exposed.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, journalist Audrey Hudson revealed that the Department of Homeland Security and Maryland State Police were involved in a predawn raid of her Shady Side, Md. home on Aug. 6. Hudson is a former Washington Times reporter and current freelance reporter.

A search warrant obtained by TheDC indicates that the August raid allowed law enforcement to search for firearms inside her home.

The document notes that her husband, Paul Flanagan, pleaded guilty in 1986 to resisting arrest in Prince George’s County. The warrant called for police to search the residence they share and seize all weapons and ammunition because he is prohibited under the law from possessing firearms.

But without Hudson’s knowledge, the agents also confiscated a batch of documents that contained information about sources inside the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration, she said. (end of dailycaller.com excerpt)

Note: The Daily Caller and the Washington Times are relatively conservative publications. And those “sources inside the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration” who might be in contact with Audrey Hudson might well be exposing duplicity in Obama’s government.

This raid is the Obama thug-ocracy at work; they use any pretext for their dirty work. Anyone who might challenge Obama is singled out and targeted. This is how dictatorships operate.

Meanwhile people who should be under suspicion get no scrutiny. That is how the Washington Navy Yard killer did his deed, using a federal security clearance even though he had two gun charges on his record and had known mental problems. And that is how 9/11 itself happened – because under Bill Clinton, for 8 full years after the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 terrorism was ignored. So the Bush administration got zero information on terrorism when it took office in January 2001 when it should have gotten a library-full.

Our world is upside down. We are targeting every American when we should instead be focusing in on suspects like the Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev who even had been interviewed by FBI but who lived in a taxpayer-subsidized apartment in Boston where he built two bombs, and then planted them at the marathon right under the noses of dozens of Boston police officers.  But if I write the word “jihad” in an email the National Security Agency will know about it and might visit my house.

Obama needs to be called up on impeachment charges. This NSA spying is orwellian.  Meanwhile look again at this from the dailycaller.com excerpt about the raid on Audrey Hudson:

The document notes that (Hudsons’) husband, Paul Flanagan, pleaded guilty in 1986 to resisting arrest in Prince George’s County. The warrant called for police to search the residence they share and seize all weapons and ammunition because he is prohibited under the law from possessing firearms. (end of dailycaller.com excerpt)

So Flanagan committed a minor infraction 27 years ago and they use it as a trumped-up pretext to invade his home and take his guns. And then – just by chance – they seized confidential information from his wife that could be harmful to Obama.

Friends, look closely at the travesty of our modern law enforcement and national security system in the Fort Hood case, the Washington Navy Yard case and Boston Marathon case and in millions of other soft-on-crime cases and you see that this Flanagan story is yet another action to shift the spotlight away from real criminals and terrorists and away from genuine dangers to our freedom like the president of the United States Barack Hussein Obama and a security apparatus that is completely out of control.
