Nevada: Armed Citizens Turn Back Federal Agents!

Armed citizens turned back the armed federal agents that were seeking to remove a private rancher’s cattle from federal land in Nevada.

This proves that the 2nd Amendment works. Government tyranny was halted by armed citizens. Without the threat of violence from armed citizens the federal agents would have proceeded to steal rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle.

Victory was achieved without firing a shot. This proves once again that peace is attained through strength. This is a tribute to American freedom. It would not have happened anywhere in the world where guns are “controlled” and gun ownership is denied to the people. The government simply would have crushed the people and seized their property. Congratulation to the armed citizens of Nevada for a great victory.

But we should never be complacent. We can expect the government to come back in full force. Then things will get interesting…

OK, so what is really going on in Nevada?

If you are a regular reader of you know several things:

*That environmentalists are waging economic war on the people of rural America with crushing regulations and obstruction of every type of development. The reason is simple: Environmentalists are allied with the urban and black-dominated Democrat party while the people in rural America are hard-working, white people who generally vote Republican.

*That the real enviro plan for rural America is part of United Nations Agenda 21 which is to destroy the economy in rural America and force people out of rural areas in order to make those areas into giant ‘green zones’.

*But has explained on many occasions that this plan is just a front and that it is a step along the way to something much worse. And that the real plan for rural America is to blanket the wilderness with windmills and solar panels with fewer and fewer people to oppose them. This is being done in order to make ‘green’ profiteers and environmentalists rich, i.e., to destroy the wilderness in the name of profit. This already is happening all over the world. These windmills and solar plants will be vastly worse for the environment than cattle ranching or farming or coal mining. They will be permanent industrial installations consuming huge amounts of land in exchange for tiny amounts of energy, or no energy at all.

This is in keeping with the repeated assertion that many of the people who call themselves “environmentalists” are not really interested in the environment; they in fact are left-wing profiteers who call themselves “environmentalists” in order to get money, jobs and power through the enviro movement.

Most of this money, jobs and power comes through taxpayer funding of ‘green’ energy, of ‘global warming’ research, of countless enviro programs at the colleges (many of them public universities), of thousands of ‘ecology’ organizations nationwide that get part or all of their funding from government, and of myriad other failed enviro schemes like taxpayer funding of the electric car.

Remember this crucial fact: Environmentalism really is the empowerment of government and its socialist allies under the false guise of “saving the earth”.

The recent controversy about the Nevada cattle ranch is a perfect example. Cliven Bundy is the rancher who is protesting the federal government’s seizure of his cattle in a dispute over the cattle grazing on federal land. Many other property-rights advocates, politicians and armed citizens have joined the fray, and violent confrontation with armed government agents was suggested. The government withdrew its armed forces so as not to force a confrontation.

The reason that the government is acting against Bundy now is explained in this excerpt below involving US Senate majority leader Harry Reid of Nevada, a secretive and corrupt Mormon Democrat who is close to Obama. (Note: The following excerpt is from which is sometimes a crackpot conspiracy website, but it does some good reporting on basic factual issues):

The Bureau of Land Management, whose director was Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.

Deleted from but reposted for posterity by the Free Republic, the BLM document entitled “Cattle Trespass Impacts” directly states that Bundy’s cattle “impacts” solar development, more specifically the construction of “utility-scale solar generation facilities” on “public lands.”

… Another BLM report entitled “Regional Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone” … reveals that Bundy’s land in question is within the “Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone and surrounding area” which is part of a broad U.S. Department of Energy program for “Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States” on land “managed” by BLM. (end of excerpt)

So there you go. This is what this whole charade is really all about. Now look at this from

Back in 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5 billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada.

And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well.

“[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert,” he wrote. “Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada.” (end of excerpt)

OK, friends, this is modern-day environmentalism: In the name of profit environmentalists and their government cronies act in secret; ruin our energy supply and our economy through ineffective solar energy; push rural Americans off of their land; cooperate with communists who hate us; and destroy the wilderness.

Then look at how it all is going to happen. Reid and his cronies will profit from placing the plant on public land, aiding a communist Chinese firm, and using American taxpayer dollars to do so. Because rest assured that this plant will be possible only with huge taxpayer subsidies.

These are the same ecologists who are hysterical about every wilderness acre, every weed and every so-called “endangered” species that may be affected by private ranchers, private development or oil companies, but who will utterly destroy that same land with tens of thousands of permanent solar panels that will darken the land and that each requires a big concrete footing.

They also ignore the fact that “endangered species” are usually more threatened by ‘green energy’ than by anything else. One example: A major California windmill installation where eagles are routinely killed is situated very close to a crucial bald eagle nesting site. Meanwhile no rancher is threatening those eagles and virtually no eagles have been killed by oil drilling or coal mining.

At the same time these solar installations produce hardly any electricity once you consider all of their inefficiencies. Because solar energy is extremely diffuse; there is virtually no energy in sunlight to begin with. Therefore huge, expensive installations are needed just to collect a tiny amount of energy. That is why a home that uses $700 worth of electricity per year needs a $35,000 solar installation on its roof while most of the costs are absorbed by the taxpayer through tax writeoffs for the panels.

These desert solar plants require tens of thousands of mirrors to operate, to concentrate the sunlight. One new solar plant in California covers five square miles. And then just think about how the efficiency falls off when the mirrors get dirty which they regularly do in the dry, dusty and sometimes windy desert. Is anyone there to clean them? Of course not. That would cost too much. In the meantime, the deserts have little rain to wash the mirrors off.

Here is more inefficiency: Every mirror has a tracking device that follows the sun. But who says that these mechanical tracking systems work? After all, they have to be super precise; even the slightest deviation deletes the mirror’s efficiency. And then just imagine the astronomical maintenance costs to monitor and to keep tens of thousands of tracking systems operating properly. These costs all will be borne by the taxpayers who fund these plants (i.e., all of us) and the ratepayers who will pay high rates for electricity from these plants.

Now here’s more about rancher Cliven Bundy showing how the government was using military-style tactics against Bundy as it did at Ruby Ridge and Waco against American citizens. This also is from

Federal snipers with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) trained guns on members of a family yesterday after they dared to stop and take video footage of cattle outside the bounds of a designated “First Amendment Area,” before arresting one of the men for non-compliance.

The cattle were being rounded up by BLM officers as part of a crackdown on Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who has refused to pay “grazing fees” demanded by the feds as a result of a re-classification of 600,000 acres of federal land in northeastern Clark County which Bundy claims has been in his family for generations. (end of excerpt)

Conclusion: The environmental movement is one of the biggest threats ever to our liberty and prosperity. It is teaming up with government to make ecologists rich while the rest of us lose our freedom and our property as the price of energy goes through the roof. Even Denmark and Holland are revolting against the sky-high price of electricity from windmills. Solar energy is even worse.
