Christianity Uplifts, Atheism Destroys

Americans reportedly are abandoning their Christian faith in increasing numbers. This is a great tragedy because Christianity has nurtured our Western freedom and prosperity and has been the “glue” of Western civilization for 1,700 years. It was only Christianity that had the political strength, wisdom and moral authority to unite Europe for 1,000 years after the fall of Rome until the early Renaissance.

Christianity is the most powerful single institution in world history and has survived much worse than today, and always has flourished in the end. Gerald Simons wrote in 1968 in Barbarian Europe:

“The foundations of medieval civilization were laid by a unique political revolution… The new (formative) entity was Christendom, a mystical commonwealth that united all believers across the shifting boundaries of barbarian kingdoms. …No other agency in the West, during or long after the (Roman) empire’s collapse, could have filled the political vacuum left by weak Roman emperors and unequipped Germanic kings. Moved to serve the general welfare by an unshakeable conviction of its own mission to all mankind, the Church took the lead in the West… The Church provided and worked to instill social ideals and moral values… These and other achievements proved so decisive that it is almost impossible to imagine what course Western history might have taken if the Church had fallen along with the Roman empire.”

But Christian-hating atheists are on the march globally today and they are extremely dangerous and devious people as they have been since the Roman empire. They smile at you as they stick a knife in your back. They traffic in pain and death. They give you pleasurable things like drugs and sex and obsessive materialism as they destroy your spirit.

The three most evil genocidal murderers of all time – Hitler in Germany, Stalin in Russia and Mao Tse Tung in China, who collectively murdered or were responsible for the deaths of more than 150 million people and the ruin of hundreds of millions more – were all anti-Christian atheists and occultists. This is no surprise whatsoever.

Whenever atheists talk about their ideology they never say what it represents. Because believing in nothing produces nothing and that is impossible to explain to any rational person. That is why atheism is targeted at conscience-less, angry people who have no compunction about lying, cheating and even deceiving themselves. They ask only how to get more, more, more.

Christianity, on the other hand, has always focused on making the whole world a better place for all. In fact Christianity often has been defamed as socialistic because of its historical concern for the poor.

Atheists claim over and over that they “don’t believe in God”. In short, even when describing themselves they almost always say the word “God” because the world always has known that God exists. Today’s most prominent international atheist, a Briton named Richard Dawkins, even wrote a famous book called The God Delusion, which has the name “God” right in the title.

Dawkins even has admitted that there is a possibility that God exists, while we Christians state every day that God definitely does exist. So we believers have already won the ideological war.

One of America’s most prominent atheists met an expected fate. Madalyn Murray O’Hair ended up in 1995 being chopped into little bits with a chainsaw, along with her son and granddaughter by an ex-criminal whom she had hired to work in her organization. Here are quotes reported to be from O’Hair’s son:

“I was born into a home of near constant rage and violence. As a result of my mother’s constant angry outbursts, she could not hold down a job. She, my brother and I, lived with her parents and my unmarried uncle. My grandfather had never filed an income tax return and most of what he did do during his life was illegal or ill advised. My grandmother read tarot cards and sent out demons by burning human hair. My uncle kept hoards of pornography in his room and my mother filled the house with statues of mating animals which she worshipped.

… When I was a young boy of ten or eleven years old she would come home and brag about spending the day in X-rated movie theaters in downtown Baltimore… My mother delighted in hiring unrepentant criminals to work in her atheist office. She particularly enjoyed hiring convicted murderers who had served their time but were unrepentant about what they had done…”

“My mother was an evil person … She stole huge amounts of money. She misused the trust of people. She cheated children out of their parents’ inheritance. She cheated on her taxes and even stole from her own organizations. She once printed up phony stock certificates on her own printing press to try to take over another atheist publishing company. I could go on but I won’t.” (end of O’Hair quote)

Mankind has almost always had some type of belief in a supreme being. But the first and most primitive religions were animist, i.e., uncivilized man worshipped things like trees and rocks and the sun and invested great power in them. Today animism is reflected in environmentalism which is an officially atheistic ideology because it puts plants and animals and bears above all with no mention of God. In short nature replaces God. Many environmentalists believe crazy things, for instance that rocks have souls.

Animism is reflected in New Age religions that come out of places like California. These New Agers worship the sun and the moon and the trees and crystals and numerology and use tarot cards and ouija boards. Their lives revolve not around the search for transcendent meaning in life but rather around the pursuit of utterly mundane things like sexual pleasure and drugs and ‘answers’ to life’s challenges through false mechanisms like lucky charms, magical spells, drugs and the worship of animals and trees. These paths can never advance mankind, however. Only by looking up and forward, and asking big and difficult questions, does man progress.

Environmentalism adheres to one of the hallmarks of atheism – it elevates man along with nature. Famous environmentalists and their political backers are worshipped and are considered supreme. And as in all of atheism these famous people can undermine and even destroy others at will. That is how atheist environmentalists are slowly ruining the people of rural America with endless eco-rules and laws and restrictions on natural economic activities (farming, logging, etc.) causing the people to become poor and hopeless by destroying their livelihoods.

This is simply a mild version of the extreme case when communist dictator Stalin used his government power to starve millions of rural Ukrainian farmers and their families to death because they did not agree with his policies. Naturally this led to widespread starvation elsewhere because the farmers were producing the food. But this is the type of insanity that you always get from atheism and radical socialism.

Look at abortion. More than 40 million unborn children have been killed since abortion was legalized in 1973 in the US. Atheists support abortion wholeheartedly, as do environmentalists because they believe that there are too many people on earth. And who opposes abortion?

Christians do. Because Christians say that all life has value. In fact the epitaph on the grave of conservative US president Ronald Reagan says, “I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph, and there is purpose and worth to each and every life.”

Do you think that America’s premier environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would say such a thing? Are you kidding? The Kennedys are an arrogant, condescending family. RFK Jr’s wife even committed suicide, leaving four children behind. That is atheism/environmentalism at work – murder, egotism and self-destruction are common among atheists and other anti-Christians.

Modern-day animism and environmentalism long have been called “pagan” but in fact that is not really true. Pagans believe in multiple gods, as the Ancient Greeks did – Zeus, the god of gods; Poseidon, the god of the sea; Artemis, the goddess of fertility etc. These societies even created sculptures of their gods and the sculptures took human forms.

Paganism should not be confused with animism or atheism. Paganism long has been deemed as an enemy of Christianity, but it actually has more in common with Christianity than believed. Because even paganism sees man as subservient to, and as a product of “the gods” who live in a heaven-like place in the sky. Christianity sees man in much the same way, but Christians see man as subservient to, and as a product of a single God in a distinct Heaven who is linked directly to earth through a man who lived here – Jesus Christ.

Atheists, on the other hand, do not believe in God or gods, or atheists say that they hate God. Atheists finally end up worshipping nothing – in which case they are meaningless creatures who merely exist – or worse, worshipping man. And once you worship man you open the door to social and economic tyranny and destruction because man then takes on himself God-like characteristics to determine who prospers and who suffers, who lives and who dies. Stalin was the classic atheist in the murder of 30 million of his own people, including 10 million Christians and the destruction of thousands of Russian Orthodox churches.

Now we have a case where an Air Force general spoke about how God has guided his career while an atheist group is saying that the general should be court-martialed. Reports Foxnews.com:

In a speech at a National Day of Prayer Task Force event on May 7, Maj. Gen. Craig Olson credits God for his accomplishments in the military, and refers to himself as a “redeemed believer in Christ.” The Air Force Times reports that the Military Religious Freedom Foundation has taken issue with Olson’s remarks, is calling for the two-star general to be court-martialed and “aggressively and very visibly brought to justice for his unforgivable crimes and transgressions.” The group authored a letter to Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Walsh, arguing that Olson’s speech violates rules within the Air Force, which prohibits airmen from endorsing a particular faith or belief.

The letter, posted on the group’s website, begins, “This demand letter is sent to you on behalf of countless members of the United States Air Force who are utterly disgusted and shocked by the brazenly illicit and wholly unconstitutional, fundamentalist Christian proselytizing recently perpetrated, on international television (“GOD TV”), and streaming all over the Internet and in full military uniform, by USAF Major General Craig S. Olson on Thursday, May 7, 2015 during a VERY public speech for a private Christian organization (The “National Day of Prayer Task Force”: NDPTF) headed up by Focus on the Family founder, Dr. James Dobson’s, wife Shirley Dobson. “ (end of Foxnews.com excerpt)

Friends, do you see what is happening even to our military? Thus it is no surprise that an extremist Muslim US Army major bent on terrorist murder was never investigated or mustered out of the Army but instead went on to kill 13 US military personnel at Fort Hood, Texas in November 2009.

Because in fact modern atheists also just happen to be pro-Islam. It is a huge paradox, but in fact the radical left (atheists, communists) and the radical religious right (Islamic terrorists) today are allied worldwide in a marriage of convenience against Western Christianity, freedom and capitalism.

Maj. Gen. Olson talked of “flying complex aircraft; doing complex nuclear missions — I have no ability to do that. God enabled me to do that. …(God) sent me to Iraq to negotiate foreign military sales deals through an Arabic interpreter. I have no ability to do that. I was not trained to do that. God did all of that.”
